Bits & Bytes

BACK THE BLUE: Between mid-October and Christmas eve, U.S. Marshals in the New Orleans area rescued 5 missing teenage girls ages 14 to 17, and arrested 30 scumbag sex offenders. Of those arrested, one was wanted for the rape of a 14-year-old, one was wanted for the rape of a 12-year-old, and 17 were already on sex offender registries.

CATHOLIC: CLICK https://rumble.com/vrvp5d-abp.-vigan-blasts-woke-pope-for-attacking-catholic-traditions-bringing-sham.html [20:34] to hear Archbishop Viganò’s strong condemnation of the Vatican’s new restrictions of the Traditional Latin Mass, calling them a “cruel and ruthless war against the most docile and faithful part of the Church.”

CHINA: Forty years ago, China imposed a brutal one-child policy on its people. People were forced to choose chose sons over daughters to the extent that China now has tens of millions more males than females. In addition, the larger, pre-ban population has become elderly and needy, burdening the smaller working generation for their support.

The ChiComs thought they could just switch off their policy if births dropped too much. It’s not working that way. Although one-child was scrapped in 2016, the birth rate has not increasing as anticipated. All the women of childbearing age grew up in a culture populated entirely by only children, so they don’t see the benefits of having a larger family. In addition, they’ve been encouraged for years to marry late and have often had multiple abortions before deciding to have a child. As a result, the infertility rate in China is 18%, as compared to a global average of 15%.

CO-MORBIDITIES: A CDC study looked at 713 minors hospitalized for COVID-19 between July and August. Of these, approximately two-thirds had one or more underlying medical condition, with obesity being the most common. In the 12 to 17 group, 61.4% were obese, with most being severely so. In the 5 to 11 group, 33.6% were obese. Those with obesity required higher levels and longer duration of care than those whose weights were normal.

COVID-19: CLICK https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=461732848660945 [10:07] to hear Megyn Kelly’s summary of ‘rona facts. But my readers already know most (but not all) of this stuff.

FAIL: Ingrid Grant, president of the Arlington Education Association, wrote a stern letter to the school board about how dangerous their plan was to re-open schools in January. If her communication skills are any indication of the quality of Arlington teachers, I have to wonder if the kids aren’t better off staying home. A homeschooling mother of three who lives in the area says she used the letter with her kids to practice editing bad grammar and punctuation. They found eight errors in the opening sentence alone.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Teachers Union voted to go back to on-line instruction. CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yXPrn0j7J4 [30:11] for the Fox News report.

MAXWELL: JP does a good job of summing up the current state of the Dems’ cover ups. CLICK https://rumble.com/vry07d-ghislaine-maxwell-trial-everything-we-didnt-learn.html [7:05].

NEW YUCK CITY: Manhattan’s new DA has ordered his prosecutors to stop seeking prison sentences for hordes of crimes and to downgrade felony charges in cases including armed robberies and drug dealing.

OUR LADY OF THE SNOWS: For the past six years, students, parents, and other supporters of St. Albert the Great Catholic University Parish at the Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan have built an Our Lady of the Snows ice chapel for the school’s 2021 Winter Carnival. Besides putting the Catholic into the Winter Carnival, it has allowed the parish to celebrate Mass in compliance with Michigan’s ‘rona restrictions.

RESIST: On Monday, a federal judge issued a temporary injunction barring the DOD from punishing a group of Navy SEALs and other special forces members who refused COVID-19 vaccines on religious grounds. Thirty-five of them have sued for being denied religious exemptions.

On Saturday, a Louisiana federal judge ruled that the Biden administration unlawfully bypassed Congress when it ordered masks on Head Start students ages 2 and up and vaxxxines for all Head Start workers. The ruling affects Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming and West Virginia.

U-HAUL MIGRATION: Every year, U-Haul ranks state-to-state migration by how many of their vehicles made one-way trips. For 2021, the top six states people moved out of were California, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Alabama, and New York; Alabama is the only red one. The top six states people moved into were Texas, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Arizona, and Indiana; none of them are blue.

GRAMMY NOTES: I love what Mama came up with for the last day of their 12 Days of Christmas art calendar! The gift of the day was a gold acrylic marker with the challenge to make twinkle lights.

  1. Another good Bits & Bytes.

“Isn’t anyone here a real sheep?” Hmmm. Seems so current and familiar.

“Every year, U-Haul ranks state-to-state migration by how many of their vehicles made one-way trips.” I have to wonder about the U-Haul one-way trips out of Hawaii!?!

Sounds like a plan, if you survive Kali-fornia. Given the cost per mile of moving vans, I think you’d be better off buying a set of water wings. And don’t forget the shark repellant! 🙂

My brother moved his household from California to Hawaii, but when it came time to relocate back to the mainland, they decided to sell all their furniture in Hawaii and start over. They said the transportation stress hadn’t done enough damage to ruin the pieces, but it did enough to make a return trip unwise.
