WALK AWAY: “During the most violent storms, we are frightened by the deafening sounds of thunder, we brace ourselves as the wind rips apart everything in its path, but when it is over, we are so distraught and focused on the damage done that we are failing to see it is the rain and the sun that makes everything grow. The rain nourishes the earth and the sun calls upon the earth to rise from the ashes. This work is neither boisterous, violently wild, nor is it threatening. It requires no audience to showcase its beauty, it just is. I learned the hard way to look forward and pay no mind to those who aim to destroy. We, all of us who walk on the right side of freedom are the rain during the storm and the sun after the clouds have parted. We exist not to destroy, but to persevere over and over again. I am a proud republican mother. I am an American.”
WEEK IN REVIEW: Top headlines from last week [2:33].
RIOTS: [Photo] In Fort Collins, CO, BLM/ANTIFA “commie scum” attempted to disrupt a pro-police rally. When they resisted patriots’ efforts to walk them away, a fight broke out. They ended up leaving the hard way … unmasked and sporting bruises.
But in Portland, OR, where the stupid Democrats let the thugs do what they wanted for far too long, the violence and destruction continue. This time the focus was a labor union that represents members of the Portland Police Bureau, which was set ablaze. Some rioters filled pool noodles with nails and placed them in the road, causing extensive damage to a patrol vehicle. Three officers were injured.
BARR and LEVIN: Attorney General Bill Barr joined Mark Levin on Life, Liberty & Levin this week. He had choice words for today’s Democrats.
They’ve “pulled away from the umbrella of classical liberal values that have undergirded” America. “They’re not interested in compromise. They’re not interested in [a] dialectic exchange of views. They’re interested in total victory … It’s a substitute for religion.”
Under President George H.W. Bush, Barr, “you could have friends across the aisle. You know, politics was part of your life, but it wasn’t all-consuming. It wasn’t everything. You could, you know, have communications and so forth with others. But it’s now become all-consuming for many people.“
Barr agreed with Levin’s statement that such revolutionary ideology has “devoured the Democrat Party in the last couple of years” and suggested that only a few Democratic lawmakers “are true believers” who are “essentially revolutionary in their outlook” and “believe in tearing down the system. But many of them are just cowards and are afraid … about a challenge from the left. So for them, it’s careerism.”
FLYNN: Can you believe this is still going on?! The hatred the Swamp has for this man … smh.
TRUMP: He is so NOT a racist! – CLICK [7:00] to hear a group of enthusiastic black Americans just after visiting with President Trump at the White House.
BIDEN: CLICK [1:14] to see the new GOP ad comparing Biden 2008 (slick, coherent liar) with Biden 2020 (so incoherent, he can’t even read his lines off a cheat sheet).
So what’s next? Shrillary gets nominated for VP with everyone ::winkwink:: knowing that’s the actual “top” spot on the ticket?
SCHOOLS: About 200 teachers and parents took to the streets to protest NYC Mayor de Blasio’s school reopening plan.
Soooooo … they feel safe at a crowded street protest, but not in a controlled classroom environment? Riiiight.
ONE FOR ISRAEL: CLICK to hear about an amazing internet ministry coming out of Israel.
CATHOLIC: A 12-page reflection by the Archbishop Carlson of Saint Louis notes that people who experience gender dysphoria are “uniquely vulnerable” and must be treated with care and compassion, but also notes that the Church has a duty to teach and affirm a Christian anthropology.
A Catholic understanding of anthropology maintains this unity in the person, Carlson noted, including unity between sex and gender.
Father Harrison Ayre explains further why the Church is adamant on the male-female nature of marriage.
“Being male and female is essential to our human condition, and, more fundamentally, is a gift from God. This implies its goodness. But since it is a gift, meaning sexuality is something that is given, it is not something we make on our own.”
