HEAVEN AND HELL: They’re real – I encourage you to listen especially closely to the last third of the show, beginning ~16:00. These are vitally important teachings to protect your eternal salvation.

NORTH KOREA: NoKo has launched a short-range missile — This is not good.

ONE NATION UNDER GOD: President Donald J. Trump joined faith leaders in prayer in the Rose Garden“Every citizen has the absolute right to live according to the teachings of their faith and the convictions of their heart,” he said.

RABBI GOLDSTEIN: One of the most powerful moments from this year’s National Day of Prayer came when Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein took the podium. He called President Trump a “mensch par excellence.”

  • Mensch is Yiddish for “a person of integrity and honor.”
  • Par excellence means “the best or truest of a kind.”

SOCIALISM: Religious freedom is NOT one of the features – On May 1, 40 members of the Venezuelan National Guard swarmed into Our Lady of Fatima church in San Cristóbal, Venezuela, as Mass was ending. They blocked the faithful, many of them elderly, from leaving and threw tear gas canisters inside the church. Two of them even rode into the church on motorcycles.

fake family

BORDER: This is why it is essential that children be separated from adults – Since Oct. 1, 2018, authorities have discovered about five fake families a day sneaking across the border with children they have borrowed or abducted. This is a 315% increase over the previous year. Homeland Security plans to start checking the DNA of alleged families to ensure the safety of the children.

Trump Obama

SOUR APPLES: An updated edition of Obama: The Call of History, by New York Times Chief White House Correspondent Peter Baker has been released – In it, former President Barack Obama is reported to have called Hillary’s failed 2016 loss a “personal insult” that he attributed to her “soulless campaign.” The book also says that Obama was shocked by the election results, thinking there was “no way Americans would turn on him” and that his “legacy … was in safe hands.”

2019_05 03 Trump tweet

TRUMP: “I am continuing to monitor the censorship of AMERICAN CITIZENS on social media platforms. This is the United States of America — and we have what’s known as FREEDOM OF SPEECH! We are monitoring and watching, closely!!”

CENSORSHIP: Facebook ups the ante – How dare you say anything that Zuckerberg doesn’t like! “Silence them. Shut them down.” This is the rhetoric of dictatorship. Paul Joseph Watson makes some really good points here.

2019_05 04 climate bill

CLIMATE BILL: H.R. 9 directs the President to develop a plan for the United States to meet its nationally determined contribution under the Paris Agreement and prohibits federal funds from being used to withdraw from the agreement. Three Republicans voted for it – Vern Buchanan (FL-16), Elise Stefanik (NY-21), and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1). No Democrats voted against it.

didyou know

WORD NERD: Trivial comes from a Latin word meaning “crossroads”— That is, where three roads come together. Since a crossroads is a very public place where all kinds of people might show up, trivialis came to mean “commonplace” or “vulgar.” Today, the English word has changed slightly in meaning and instead usually describes something barely worth mentioning.
