In full disclosure I can’t stand this overbearing loudmouth punk. Never could. When I first saw him on SNL I wondered where the hell they found this squinty-eyed little moron. Through massive vote fraud, he actually managed to steal a seat in the US Senate from Norm Coleman. His entire tenure has been fraught with crass, vulgar behavior. It appears the worst is not yet behind Al Franken. The Democratic Minnesota Senator was hit by another sexual harassment allegation on Wednesday, bringing the total up to seven. 
“He was between me and the door and he was coming at me to kiss me. It was very quick and I think my brain had to work really hard to be like ‘Wait, what is happening?’ But I knew whatever was happening was not right and I ducked. I was really startled by it and I just sort of booked it towards the door and he said, ‘It’s my right as an entertainer.’”
As Franken’s support collapses, Democrats expect resignation
Though the writing appeared to be on the wall, Franken’s departure was not certain. A tweet posted Wednesday evening on Franken’s Twitter account said: “Senator Franken is talking with his family at this time and plans to make an announcement in D.C. tomorrow. Any reports of a final decision are inaccurate.” Late in the day, Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York added his voice. “I consider Senator Franken a dear friend and greatly respect his accomplishments, but he has a higher obligation to his constituents and the Senate, and he should step down immediately,” Schumer said.

So, What Happens to Al Franken’s Seat If He Resigns? 
The walls are closing in on Sen. Al Franken, with a seventh accuser stepping forward today and multiple Democrats calling for his resignation in the aftermath, including DNC chair Tom Perez and more than 20 Senators (and counting).
Franken is expected to give remarks tomorrow and, well, it’d be pretty crazy if he didn’t resign. The former SNL star’s time in public service should be drawing to a close, and provided it did, what happens next in Minnesota politics? Democratic Governor Mark Dayton is given the ability to make a “temporary appointment to fill any vacancy,” according to state law.
In other words, Dayton can pick whoever he wants and this pick is guaranteed to be a Democrat. Which Democrat? That is still up in the air, but leading candidates would have to be Rep. Keith Ellison, Attorney General Lori Swanson, State Auditor Rebecca Otto and Lieutenant Governor Tina Smith.

An attempt to impeach Trump today failed 364-58 
There are really two ways to look at this effort. One is that this attempt to impeach President Trump got slapped down hard today. The other is that there are now 58 Democrats willing to attach their names to this desperate action which their own leadership is officially against, at least for the moment. Again, the message isn’t ‘No’ it’s ‘Not yet.’ The White House responded by labeling Rep. Green and those who voted with him extremists. “Their time would be better spent focusing on tax relief for American families and businesses, and working to fund our troops and veterans through the holiday season rather than threaten a government shutdown.”
