I stood before the pastor,our best friends and Almighty God and swore to my beloved child bride to love,honor,obey,and be a monumental pain in the ass for the rest of my natural life. During the course of our lifetimes we have had many acquaintances,friends and in most cases,some lovers. It took 45 years and three bad marriages to find my best friend forever. In all our years we’ve never had what you would call a really serious fight. Neither of us are wired that way. We’d both been around long enough to know the realities of marriage and knew when something was broke you fixed it,not just throw it away.
She has a daughter and son who were teenagers when we married and I look at them as my own. Her daughter (Isabel and Olivia’s mom) bonded instantly. Her son took some time and effort. He was never used to having another male in the house and he had to learn that the old bull still had enough powder in his horn to rule the roost (mixed metaphors…it’s what I do). Eventually we made peace and now I call him the son I never had.
Some people get lucky and find the right one early in life. Some don’t until their later years and some never find a true life partner ever. We’ve had some money in the bank and we’ve been down to less than nothing. We always made it somehow,I suspect,because we had each other,our family and our faith to see things through. My time on earth is growing short but I will spend whatever is left of my life with the bestest buddy I could ever find.

Advocates for pay-TV providers are saying the FCC should use Section 706 to act more aggressively against the companies that produce TV content. Why? Because the pay-TV providers think the content producers are charging them too much for programming — and because programming costs eat into the budget for building, say, cable broadband, what hurts pay-TV providers could hurt the spread of broadband.
In short, if cable companies can convincingly argue that their costs of buying programming are effectively a barrier to broadband deployment, that’s a case for federal intervention.

A legally blind 93-year-old woman was able to pull an alarm and summon help from neighbors as a stranger battered and then sexually assaulted her in her apartment, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said..

If Dearest was here, he’d have come in to find out what was so funny, but he’s on his way to ALASKA! And, yay hurray praise God, I have a retired couple from across the street doing mail and dogs and they are really sweet. I thanked them so much and said I felt so safe having them looking out for me and they said, “That’s what neighbors are for.” It’s such a good feeling to find out we have neighbors who still know this.
