Everyday is opposite day in the Obama White House. When asked if the U.S. is more racially divided than it was when he took office six years ago, the President responded: “No, I actually think that it’s probably in its day-to-day interactions less racially divided.”

Among the speakers at the funeral for slain NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos was New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. When he got up to speak, many officers turned their backs to him. IMHO, it’s a lot nicer than what he and all the “hands up” morons did to them.

When the NRA finally got sick of Shannon Watts’ annoying anti-gun rants, they blocked her from their Twitter account. She took a screenshot of her You’re Blocked By the NRA page and sent out tweet after tweet crowing that it was Proof Positive that the NRA is … wait for it … AFRAID of HER! ROFLLL If getting blocked by someone means they’re afraid of you, what does that say about all those people Watts has blocked? Hmmm? There are so many of them, they have their own hashtags @ #ImBlockedByShannonWatts and #imblockedbymomsdemand. ::snork::

Happy Third Day of Christmas. How would you like your French hens?

“…Eric Metaxas, writing in the Wall Street Journal, of all places… talks about whether recent discoveries have made the world look more created/designed, or more eternal/undesigned.”
I don’t join/subscribe to WSJ, so I just read the excerpts by WinteryKnight.
“… The odds against life in the universe are simply astonishing… [and that’s] nothing compared with the fine-tuning required for the universe to exist at all.”

Moviegoers get to their feet and sing God Bless America before seeing The Interview in Atlanta
Daily Mail c/o Weasel Zippers
I am unfamiliar with the film’s creators’ oeuvre, but from those who have seen it have said, it’s okay, for vulgar lowbrow comedy. I am seeing articles on the one hand about how it was some insider at Sony who did this hacking, not NoKorea. On the other hand, I read serious articles about how powerful and sophisticated are NK’s cyber soldiers – part of their military.
But, who cares, moviegoers get to their feet and sing God Bless America!

Based on this, I’d liken it to Airplane.

Well, I have to admit that it doesn’t really look like my kind of movie… but now I’m thinking I’ll probably go see it anyway, just because. It’s a matter of principle. I’m not gonna let some little sawed-off two-bit tin-pot dictator tell me what I can and can’t watch. So there.
