Sweeping Veterans Choice Bill to Become Law Days Before Memorial Day
‘VA Mission Act will ensure veterans have timely access to the quality care’
WE HAVE BROKEN OUR PROMISES TO VETERANS FOR MANY DECADES. WE ALL KNOW THE CONTEMPT DEMOCRATS HAVE FOR OUR WARRIORS. IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME SOMEBODY TOOK CARE OF THEM FOR CHANGE.
The veterans, in consult with their primary care VA doctor, will be able to choose the doctor of their choice and the service of their choice, whether through the VA or delivered in the private sector, based on quality, accessibility, availability, and the choice of the veteran.
Unless you just returned from a trip to the Himalayas, you know that the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super bowl LII last night. It was the first Super Bowl ever for the Eagles. The city known as “The City of Brotherly Love” once threw snowballs at Santa Claus. After they won the National Conference title two weeks ago the city covered the lamp posts with Crisco, hoping to keep the revelers from climbing them. Didn’t work, so they tried hydraulic oil this weekend. It didn’t make any difference.
There’s such a thing as pride in your favorite sports team. Using it as an excuse to burn and smash just because you want to is another.
Super Bowl 2018: EXPLOSION heard as RIOTING Philadelphia fans clash with police after win
Eagles fans are rioting around the city amid reports left-wing group Antifa has infiltrated celebrations and an explosion has been heard. The scenes follow the team securing a historic victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 2018.
Despite efforts by the authorities to stop fans climbing street lamps in the build-up to the game by covering them with gear oil, there are multiple reports of injuries and falls.
Estimates provided by a police drone place the number of people on the streets at “around 100,000”, with large numbers gathering in Broad Street in the centre of the city, which has a population of 1.5million.
Fires, mayhem, insane trust falls in Philly after Super Bowl win
“F–k that grease,” the fans chanted as the daredevils climbed. Many of them were seen chugging beers as they got to the top. At one point the fans got so out of control, they pulled down a light pole.
The streets of the city were also filled with Eagles fans chanting “F–k Tom Brady” in reference to the Patriots quarterback — and “Big d–k Nick” in honor of Philly QB Nick Foles.
Eagles players plan on skipping White House visit
I DOUBT THE PRESIDENT CARES
“No, I’m not going to the White House,” Long said on the “Pardon My Take” podcast for Barstool Sports. “Are you kidding me?”
Smith also said he won’t attend, shooting back at Trump’s criticism of players who took a knee during the playing of the national anthem last season as disrespecting the flag.
“They call it the anthem protest,” he said. “We’re not protesting the anthem. It’s a protest during the anthem. I understand why people are mad, or may be offended when someone takes a knee.”
Many people watch the game just for the commercials. At $4.5 million for a 30 second spot they cram in as many as they can. I spent the evening sitting with my wife watching television (thank goodness for cable.) If you want to see any of last night’s commercials, here is a playlist:
Waters Caught Steering $1.2 Billion to Obama Flunkies
According to Judicial Watch, the longtime liberal lawmaker has introduced a bill that moves over a billion dollars to “Obamacare navigators,” who conveniently happen to almost always be leftist organizations.
“A fraud-infested Obamacare ‘outreach’ program will get an astounding $1.2 billion from American taxpayers if legislation introduced by a veteran congresswoman becomes law,” the watchdog group explained.
“The 14-term congresswoman, investigated by the House Ethics Committee for steering federal funds to her husband’s failing Massachusetts bank, crafted the law because the Trump administration slashed Obamacare outreach funding by more than 90%.”
Her proposed bill is officially called the “ACA OUTREACH Act,” and would direct $300 million annually for the next four years from Health and Human Services to “navigators,” who are supposed to help “minority and underserved” people understand the health insurance process.
Jimmy Kimmel: ‘Almost Every Talk Show Host Is Liberal’ Because ‘It Requires a Certain Level of Intelligence’
Jimmy Kimmel made an appearance over the weekend with former Barack Obama speech writer, Jon Favreau, on a panel discussion for Favreau’s podcast “Pod Save America.” As reported by IJR, Favreau’s wife tweeted out that Jimmy Kimmel said, “It just so happens that almost every talk show host is a liberal and that’s because it requires a level of intelligence.”
THIS IS A SAMPLE OF HIS INTELLIGENCE:
‘GUESS WHAT’S IN MY PANTS’
Jimmy Kimmel wrecks car in head-on collision accident
On Thursday, Kimmel crashed his BMW into another car near the Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif. The talk show host reportedly made a wrong left turn onto the Sunset Strip despite the “right turn only” sign.
Obama’s Civil Rights Warriors Distraught as DOJ Shutters Project That Funded Open-Borders Groups
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has “quietly” put an end to most work at the Office for Access to Justice (ATJ), one of the lesser initiatives of the Eric Holder era, according to a Thursday New York Times report
In 2014, however, ATJ also provided $1.8 million to left-wing open-borders groups like the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition, the George Soros-funded Equal Justice Works, and the New York Immigration Coalition to provide lawyers for so-called “unaccompanied children” who surged across the southern border that year in their immigration hearings. This week, even the notoriously liberal U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit rejected the idea that the Constitution requires the government to pay for lawyers for these child aliens.
Dem Rep Disbursed $153K to Sister’s Law Firm From Campaign Funds in 2017
THEY’RE THIEVES…EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM
The money Clay paid to the firm accounted for more than 80 percent of committee’s expenditures last year, which has now sent $950,000 to Clay’s sister since 2002.
Clay Jr. began paying family members from his campaign’s coffers almost immediately after entering Congress in 2001. Michelle Clay, his sister, has been the biggest beneficiary of the payments.
Michelle Clay is the owner of the Law Office of Michelle C. Clay LLC, a firm located just outside of Washington, D.C. The law office’s address appears to be a residential home in Silver Spring, Maryland. Little information is available online about the firm, which does not have a website.
VA shoots down feminist request to change its 60-year-old motto, a quote from Abraham Lincoln
The Department of Veteran Affairs shot down a request to make its motto gender-neutral, according to a Friday report.
The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America demanded the department changed what it called an outdated and sexist motto, reported Stars and Stripes. The VA’s nearly 60-year motto is “to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan,” an excerpt from former President Abraham Lincoln’s second inaugural address
The VA responded to the November request to change its motto by saying the current motto accurately reflects “the heart of our noble mission.” But the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America was none too pleased with the refusal.
“They’re missing the point that women don’t feel comfortable at the VA,” said Allison Jaslow, executive director of the group. “We want to be respected and appreciated as much as male veterans are, and the motto is symbolic of overall challenges.”
Clinton: I Get Overwhelmed By The News A Dozen Times Per Day
Hillary Clinton said she gets overwhelmed a “dozen times a day” during a speech Monday at Georgetown University that took implicit shots at the Trump administration
Clinton drew applause as she said no one should be allowed to push others into living in an “alternative reality,” a seeming dig at her 2016 election opponent, President Donald Trump.
Leftists make me SICK. Thankfully, Wounded Warrior J.R. Salzman tweets!
My two cents:
The Left called George W. Bush a “blood for oil” war-mongering cowboy who didn’t care a toot about soldiers’ lives. Yet, Bush regularly visited Wounded Warriors in hospital while he was in office and has done so since he retired. He continues to host annual sporting events for them in which he personally participates and he and Laura have Gold Star wives and moms to their home.
The Left called Barack Obama a hero for peace. The Nobel committee gave him a prize for promoting peace when he had done exactly nothing except run for office and not be George Bush.
The slobbering Democrat media did not CARE that, while campaigning, he ditched a scheduled visit to a U.S. military hospital because they wouldn’t let his camera crew inside, or that he sent form letters to the bereaved, or that he lied to the faces of the Benghazi families.
They did not CARE that he bombed more countries and involved us in more foreign wars than ANY PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY.
They did not CARE that his wife made “Support for Military Families” one of her two First Lady projects but, to my knowledge, never visited or did damn all to support wounded warriors or the families of wounded and killed soldiers.
So, Lefties … ASK me if I CARE what you think about Trump’s phone calls or whatever it is you’re whining about. Go ahead, ask. I dare you.
As Democrats ratchet up their violent rhetoric about how many hundreds of thousands of Americans will DIE if Republicans pass their health care bill ::shriekwringhandstearhair::, a report has come out about how poorly the Veterans Administration did at providing health care under the allegedly compassionate leadership of Obama.
Between October 2014 and August 2015, 43% of the 225 Los Angeles VA patients who died were waiting for appointments or needed tests they never got.
On Friday, President Trump fulfilled another campaign promise when he signed a bill into law that will make it easier for the Veterans Administration to fire employees.
The measure speeds up the firing process, allows the agency to rescind bonuses if an employee is convicted of a felony related to his or her duties, and strengthens protections for whistle blowers.
Dems can’t follow their own advice to tone down the rhetoric in the name of not encouraging extremists to get violent.
After the Senate’s health care bill came out, Bernie Sanders tweeted,
In other “Democrats go lower” news …
Never mind that approximately 6.5 million uninsured Americans were forced to pay $3 billion in penalties to the IRS because they couldn’t afford Obamacare plans.
And never mind that 18 of the 23 Obamacare co-ops have collapsed.
And also never mind that the only (born) Americans I’ve heard of who actually died because of a Democrat-run health care program were veterans who couldn’t get appointments at the VA.
Lefties are melting down about Trumpcare. Funny how they didn’t give so much of a toot about the MILLIONS whose premiums became unaffordable and/or who lost their plans and their doctors under Obamacare. Also, this:
Today, President Trump created a new office in the Department of Veterans Affairs tasked with identifying and weeding out poorly performing employees.
It will also be tasked with protecting whistle blowers from retaliation and conducting an internal review of the VA to make eliminate unnecessary duplication of services.
The VA has been criticized for years for failing to quickly fire problematic employees, and Trump repeatedly vowed on the campaign trail that he would increase accountability at the VA.
I’m enthused. I hope it actually works.
Apologies in advance for the probable mess this is going to be. In full disclosure I’d managed to miss every presidential speech over the past eight years. This was due in large part to the fact his voice made me sick to my stomach and the lies that poured out of his skull gave me constipation.
THE ENTIRE EVENING WRAPPED UP IN TWO IMAGES:
I WATCHED THE ENTIRE SPEECH. TEARS WERE ROLLING DOWN MY FACE WHEN HE RECOGNIZED THIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE OF A SLAIN WARRIOR
Of all the moments from President Trump’s first address to Congress, the most riveting piece of political theater was his tribute to the widow of fallen Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens. The president’s critics and supporters alike admired it.
Midway through his speech, the president gestured to Owens‘ widow, Carryn, who was a guest in the balcony seated with presidential daughter Ivanka Trump.
“We are blessed to be joined tonight by Carryn Owens,” Mr. Trump said. “Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero –- battling against terrorism and securing our nation. Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity. For as the Bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country, and for our freedom –- we will never forget him.”

Five Minute Ovation for Trump but Pouty Democrats Sit on Their Butts
Pelosi and House Dems to Wear White in Protest of Trump
MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell asked Pelosi, who was wearing white and purple, about how Democrats would behave during Trump’s speech and if her wearing white was a form of silent protest.
Pelosi however, used a different term to refer to her decision to wear white and purple.
“It’s not even a protest. It’s a statement of values,” Pelosi said. “It associates ourselves with our suffragette mothers, the color of white, the color purple.”
Liberals Attack SEAL’s Widow, President Trump Over Tribute
Some liberals used the emotional moment to attack both the president and the grieving widow.

THE DEPTH OF THE LEFT’S DEPRAVITY SINKS DEEPER EVERY PASSING DAY
Pelosi Tells House Members to Treat Trump Voters Like a Friend With a ‘Jerk’ Boyfriend
“The way I told my members: It’s like telling your friend the guy she’s dating is a jerk,” she said.
She explained that, after a while, the friend will put two and two together and leave the “jerk” boyfriend.
“You can’t tell her that,” Pelosi said. “She has to find out for herself. You can give her clues and then eventually one thing will lead to another, she’ll come to her conclusion.”
The Democratic Party’s never-ending anti-Trump siege isn’t just bad for the country, it’s also hurting Democrats with the voters.
A Rasmussen Reports poll released Tuesday found that 63 percent of those surveyed said it was better for the country as well as the Democratic Party for Democrats to work with President Trump instead of countering him at every turn.
Just 29 percent agreed that it’s better for the party and the nation for Democrats to oppose Mr. Trump “in every way possible.”
Trump just delivered the best speech of his political career
Donald Trump gave the best speech of his short political life last night, and it had nothing to do with grand oratory. He was thoroughly presidential, speaking plainly and yet masterfully in projecting an optimistic vision of the America he aims to build.
It is a vision so optimistic and encompassing that even steaming Democrats had to join boisterous Republicans in the applause at times.

Trump Acknowledges American Veterans, Says Its Time To Deliver For Them
My budget will also increase funding for our veterans.
Our veterans have delivered for this Nation — and now we must deliver for them.
The challenges we face as a Nation are great. But our people are even greater.
And none are greater or braver than those who fight for America in uniform.
Disturbing Photo Of Elderly Veteran Lying On The Floor Of VA Facility In Pain Sparks Outrage
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. VETERANS SHOULD BE CARED FOR BETTER THAN STINKING ILLEGALS. THEY PAID FOR THEIR MEDICAL CARE… IN ADVANCE
Durham, North Carolina- An elderly veteran was at a VA facility waiting for hours to be seen by a doctor when he was overwhelmed by pain and decided to lay on the floor.
A witness in the waiting room captured photos of the veteran and posted them to her Facebook page. She said that a nurse was yelling at him to get off of the floor.

President Trump: ‘Education Is the Civil Rights Issue of Our Time’
Trump invited Denisha Merriweather to be a guest in the gallery.
“As a young girl, Denisha struggled in school and failed third grade twice,” the president said. “But then she was able to enroll in a private center for learning, with the help of a tax credit scholarship program.”
In an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal in October of 2014, Denisha said Florida’s tax-credit scholarship program “saved” her.
“Today, she is the first in her family to graduate, not just from high school, but from college,” Trump continued. “Later this year she will get her masters degree in social work.”
President Trump orders federal agency for ‘American victims’ of crimes committed by ‘illegal’ immigrants
A chorus of boos arose after President Trump announced during his Tuesday speech before Congress that he will install an office specifically serving victims of “illegal” immigrants.
“I have ordered the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to serve American victims,” Trump said, prompting groans and boos from assembled Democrats. “The office is called VOICE — Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement. We are providing a voice to those who have been ignored by our media, and silenced by special interests.”
The President didn’t deliberate on what exact role the “VOICE” office would play, but instead turned the attention to four audience members: Jamiel Shaw, Susan Oliver, Jenna Oliver and Jessica Davis.
Pelosi Doesn’t Clap After Trump Talks About American Job Creation
Trump’s speech and our infantile left
Like spoiled children who had not gotten their way, they refused to applaud at the most obvious good-for-the-country lines. In fact, they were like a clique of mean girls in middle school who have decided to target one of their own.
They knew what they were hearing was monumental and good for the nation. But consumed in schoolyard jealousy, they got angry, not glad. In doing so, they showed no intention of working “with” President Trump. They are still scrambling for, and planning to sabotage him any way they can.
They proved one thing: They do not have America’s best interests at heart.
Trump: ‘My Job is Not to Represent the World; My Job is to Represent the United States of America’
And, in a line that drew strong applause – although only from the Republican side of the chamber – he added, “My job is not to represent the world; my job is to represent the United States of America.”
While Democratic lawmakers gave a tepid response to that part of Tuesday night’s speech, they did join in a standing ovation when Trump endorsed the historic alliance with NATO, though tempered with a nudge for allies to pay more.
“We expect our partners,” the president continued, “whether in NATO, in the Middle East, or the Pacific, to take a direct and meaningful role in both strategic and military operations, and pay their fair share of the cost. Have to do that.”
MSNBC Panel Mocks Democratic Party Response to Trump’s Joint Address
Is February 28, 2017, ‘The Night the Democratic Party Died’?
The Democratic Party members watching that speech looked like a party of the living dead. They didn’t know how to react. They didn’t know if they were Americans. They didn’t know who they were.
Every time Trump called for bipartisanship for the good of our country, they winced. They couldn’t stand it and didn’t know how to react because they are the least bipartisan people in the world and they scarcely know what cooperating is.
Whose Side Are You On? Carlson Notes Democrats Groaned When Trump Introduced Victims Of Immigrant Crimes
“They didn’t greet him when he walked in, they didn’t applaud when he said we’re going to put American interests first, they groaned when he brought up the victims of immigrant crime, raising the obvious question whose side are you on exactly,” he said.
Democrats Sit on Hands as Trump Pleads for Cooperation
The freeze-out was nearly total. Democrats who had lined the aisles in recent years to be seen hugging President George W. Bush and President Obama as they strode to the rostrum hung back Tuesday night, leaving the president to shake hands almost exclusively with Republicans.
Hilarious: Trump’s Speech So Powerful, Person Who Delivered Dem Response Now Calls Himself A Republican
The Democratic Rebuttal To Trump’s Speech Is Everything Wrong With The Democratic Party
Beshear giving the speech is in itself an admission of failure. You know who’s not giving the speech? The young, promising, telegenic former Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway, who was the presumptive heir to Beshear’s office until he was defeated by double digits by Tea Party candidate Matt Bevin.
Polling for Medicaid expansion and KYnect (the Kentucky exchange) is not as terrible as it is elsewhere, which is not saying much. But it also can’t be ignored that the state elected Bevin, who ran on dismantling the whole thing.
The Republican Party still faces political landmines in its tricky repeal-and-replace plan. But on Tuesday, a septuagenarian former Kentucky governor with a folksy demeanor was simultaneously a laudable recognition by the Democratic Party of who it needs to reach and a devastating admission of how ill-equipped they are to do so. The future’s so bright, they gotta wear bifocals.
