A lot of sort of big words

Two former Secretaries of State published an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal last week that was critical of the Iran nuclear deal.

John Hayward at Breitbart said, “It was a very weighty piece, filled with serious criticism that … the agreement … would not do much to slow down Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

President Powderpuff’s State Dept Spox, Marie Harf, dismissed the entire thing as “a lot of sort of big words and big thoughts.”

Harf not SNL

A reporter suggested that one of the big thoughts in the piece was that “there are not enough big words and big thoughts in what the Administration is pursuing … in the Middle East right now.”

Harf responded, “Think about either an Iran with a nuclear weapon. Think about how that would create even more instability. Think about having to utilize other options to prevent them from getting a nuclear weapon and the kinds of instability that would lead to.”

Uhhhh … yeah.  That is what we ARE ALL THINKING ABOUT!

What we wanted from you was some clarification of how the criticisms of two former Secretaries of State are somehow not justified, some small reassurance that the plan Obama is pursuing is going to prevent a nuclear Iran.  Somehow “a lot of sort of big words” doesn’t put one’s mind to rest, you know?  But hey … not to worry!  Cuz Our President Can Shoot Rainbows Out of His Hand!

Being progressive means never saying you’re sorry

2014_06 08 Donna Brazile on Bergdahl

Following the announcement that the Army will be prosecuting Bergdahl for going AWOL, tweeters asked Brazile if she was going to apologize now. Her ONLY response:

“Go find your joy.”

Huh?  I’ll tell you what would give me joy, Donna. Having you and all your racist buddies stop demanding that Barack Obama be judged solely by the color of his skin.

Here are a few other choice remarks various tweeters had for and about Donna:

  • Have you ever admitted you were wrong about anything?
  • If they admitted failures, they would have scant time for snarking.
  • Hope ACA covers chiropractic. Carrying Obama’s water has to be rough on the back.

Meanwhile, BizarrØland’s State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, told Megyn Kelly they were totes standing behind the exchange because … wait for it …

“We have a commitment to our men and women serving in our military, defending our national security every day, that we’re going to do everything to bring them home if we can and that’s what we did in this case.”

Unless, they’re locked up in a Mexican prison for no good reason, in which case, Barack’s got no pen or phone.

Most CORRUPT administration ever

March 14, 2015: Hillary Clinton email scandal in second week

2015_03 NY Post says Obama sabotaging Hillary

In addition, at Jarrett’s behest, the State Department is running six separate probes into Hillary’s performance, including the use of her expense account, the disbursement of funds, her contact with foreign leaders and her possible collusion with the Clinton Foundation. Reportedly, Obama and Jarrett will do anything to stop Hillary’s bid for the presidency. Rumors are there is more dirt to come.

March 15-21, 2015: Sunshine Week

An annual effort by news organizations and watchdog groups to highlight issues of government transparency, because “open government is good government.”

March 16, 2015: National Freedom of Information Day

An annual event held during Sunshine Week celebrated on the birthday of President James Madison who was the foremost advocate for openness in government. He is also hailed as being instrumental in the drafting of the United States Constitution and as the key champion and author of the United States Bill of Rights.

BHO transparency NOT

In the midst of the national discussion about government accountability sparked by the Hillary e-mail scandal, the Obama administration announced they were officially exempting their own Office of Administration from the Freedom of Information Act.

The Office of Administration responded to FOIA requests for 30 years until, late in the Bush administration, someone made a FOIA request for millions of White House emails and Bush said no. In 2009, a federal appeals court ruled that Bush had the right to refuse that request.

The Obama administration calls this single court ruling a “well-settled legal interpretation” upon which his own administration could remove itself completely from FOIA public scrutiny.

“The irony of this being Sunshine Week is not lost on me,” said Anne Weismann of the liberal Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW.

“It is completely out of step with the president’s supposed commitment to transparency,” she said. “That is a critical office, especially if you want to know, for example, how the White House is dealing with e-mail.”

“You have a president who comes in and says, I’m committed to transparency and agencies should make discretionary disclosures whenever possible, but he’s not applying that to his own White House,” Weismann said.

The White House did not explain why it decided to formally implement the allegedly “settled legal interpretation” six years after the court ruling, as the Hillary e-mail scandal debate raged, and on National Freedom of Information Day … but it isn’t hard to imagine the back story.

It’s Official: Marie Harf’s Legacy has been Enshrined in the Lexicon

She told us to get a dictionary:
But she also told us we might be too thick to understand what we found.
I really don’t think this is so hard to grasp.
The only question is, which definition is official?
There are so many that fit…
Curmudgeon’s definition is just one word: ‘Liar.’
Where The Wild Harf Grows
Others, just three: “Not self-aware.”
In any case, I plan to start using this new word A LOT. I think you should, too.

“Jobs for Jihadists” Applications Flood State Department

D.C. Clothesline – After U.S. State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf announced that the long-term strategy in the fight against ISIS was to create jobs for potential jihadists, countless terrorists began filling out applications. Here are a few examples (along with a blank application for potential jihadists on the job hunt). Please, keep in mind this is satire, ok?

How would you Know if your Government were Telling the Truth about Ebola in Texas?

Heh! Trick question! When was the last time our government was completely truthful about anything? How’s your healthcare living up to promises lately? But seriously, if you want to know what they expect to happen after our first case of Ebola was confirmed by the CDC in Dallas, Texas, you should first look at what they say about it, and then look at how they act. Clearly, how they prepare – what they actually do – is a better indicator of what they believe than what they say.

What they say about the current situation in Texas can be summed up by CDC director Thomas Frieden’s statement yesterday as quoted by CBSDFW news in Dallas:

Several minutes into the press conference, Frieden paused and stated clearly, “The bottom line here is that I have no doubt that we will control this importation of this case of Ebola so that it does not spread widely in this country.”
Frieden did admit that it is possible that a family member or other person who had contact with the patient while he was infectious could develop Ebola in the coming weeks. But, he said, “There is no doubt in my mind that we will stop it here.”

How they are preparing for what they really expect is indicated by a statement issued three weeks ago by Lakeland Industries, Inc. In their statement, they indicated that they were struggling to meet demand for “Hazmat Suits” specifically advertised for Ebola prevention, citing a single U.S. State Department bid for 160,000 suits. As ZeroHedge pointed out today, it’s not clear why the State Department has ordered so many suits of the kind usually chosen to work with airborne viruses, when their official statements indicate that Ebola is not airborne. (as best as I can remember them)

The White House has seized on the lame excuse of blaming 20 Middle East countries in flames over a stupid movie. The Libyan President has said the attacks were months in planning.McLame said protesters don’t bring RPG’s and heavy weapons to a demonstration. No matter,Obamao will use any excuse to defer blame from his disastrous  foreign policy.Of course, the media will dutifully report anything he says as gospel. We all see what’s going on and it’s so frustrating to watch him get away with it.The Obama regime and the state department have circled the wagons and will take no more questions on why they took no action when reports said they were warned up to three months before the planned attacks to comemmorate 9/11.

Madame pantsuit personally ordered no Marine security for the Libyan embassy, but Valerie Rasputin received full Secret Service protection for her vacation to Martha’s Vineyard last week.

The Chicago teacher’s union got a new proposal late last week.Moby Dickless said they had to have 2 days to look it over.Apparently they had to find a kid who was educated in private school to read it to them.Yesterday they summarily rejected the proposal and Tiny Dancer is threatening to go to court to order them back to work.I heard an audio this morning from Karen Lewis saying ‘the elephant in the room is the closing of 200 schools.’ I always thought the elephant in the room was that brown behemoth.

It seems Romney is in a difficult position.Republicans want him to define what his plans would be as president and the administration sits on its hands waiting for their media lapdogs to shred anything he says to detract from this epic failure.Polls go up and down but it seems some repubs are panicking because they think obama should be dead and buried by now.

In Wisconsin the libs found a sympathetic judge in Madison to rule the collective bargaining rights law was unconstitutional.Of course, this will be overruled, but they never quit. They are fighting to get the voter ID law overturned, but the SOS said they would enforce it anyway.

This is being posted late because our power went out about 7AM as I was in the middle of typing this and just came back on 4 hours later.Oh,well.Caught up on some reading anyway.

BHO’s schedule this week

Chrissy’s Site Bites @

The week of September 10-14, 2012, featured deadly anti-American violence in Libya, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia and Sudan, including armed assaults on our embassies, which are sovereign U.S. territories. The following is what President Obama did …

Monday, September 10, 2012

Obama took the day off. Dunno why. Nobody else got it off.

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

At 8:45 AM, the President and the First Lady observed a moment of silence to mark the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, then they went to the Pentagon Memorial 9/11 ceremony. In the afternoon, the President visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. At 5:00 PM, the President and the Vice President met with Secretary of Defense.

Meanwhile …

Armed Muslim extremists attacked and burned our consulate in Benghazi, Libya, murdering our Ambassador and three security guards. Our State Department responded with apologies to the attackers for whatever we did that made them so mad at us. The Libyan government and citizenry apologized to the United States for the attack. Romney condemned the attack and the State Department’s apologies. The Obama campaign condemned Romney. Obama said nothing.

The White House let us know that Obama will be Much Too Busy to meet with the Israeli Prime Minister when Netanyahu visits the U.S. later this month, but that Barack will be squeezing an appearance on David Letterman into his “busy” schedule.

Last month, Obama arranged a meeting with Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi for later this month. Morsi is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood whose motto is, “Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations.” Its most famous slogan, used worldwide, is “Islam is the solution.”

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

At 10:35 AM, the President finally got around to delivering a statement condemning the attack, then he went to the State Department for a meeting.

Then he went to a campaign event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Thursday, September 13, 2012

At 1:10 PM, the President went to a campaign event in Aurora, Colorado.

Friday, September 14, 2012

In the morning, the President and the Vice President received the ONE AND ONLY Presidential Daily Briefing of the entire tumultuous week. It lasted all of THIRTY MINUTES.

Then, he and the First Lady welcomed the 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams to the White House.

In the afternoon, Obama went to attend the Transfer of Remains Ceremony to the United States of the remains of the four Americans killed this week in Benghazi, Libya.

In the evening, he went a campaign event.
