Not the Only Mystery

May 21, 2015 · 3:04 amA lot of sort of big words
Two former Secretaries of State published an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal last week that was critical of the Iran nuclear deal.
John Hayward at Breitbart said, “It was a very weighty piece, filled with serious criticism that … the agreement … would not do much to slow down Iran’s nuclear ambitions.”
President Powderpuff’s State Dept Spox, Marie Harf, dismissed the entire thing as “a lot of sort of big words and big thoughts.”
A reporter suggested that one of the big thoughts in the piece was that “there are not enough big words and big thoughts in what the Administration is pursuing … in the Middle East right now.”
Harf responded, “Think about either an Iran with a nuclear weapon. Think about how that would create even more instability. Think about having to utilize other options to prevent them from getting a nuclear weapon and the kinds of instability that would lead to.”
Uhhhh … yeah. That is what we ARE ALL THINKING ABOUT!
What we wanted from you was some clarification of how the criticisms of two former Secretaries of State are somehow not justified, some small reassurance that the plan Obama is pursuing is going to prevent a nuclear Iran. Somehow “a lot of sort of big words” doesn’t put one’s mind to rest, you know? But hey … not to worry! Cuz Our President Can Shoot Rainbows Out of His Hand!

It’s Official: Marie Harf’s Legacy has been Enshrined in the Lexicon
She told us to get a dictionary:
But she also told us we might be too thick to understand what we found.
I really don’t think this is so hard to grasp.
The only question is, which definition is official?
There are so many that fit…
Curmudgeon’s definition is just one word: ‘Liar.’
Others, just three: “Not self-aware.”
In any case, I plan to start using this new word A LOT. I think you should, too.

“Jobs for Jihadists” Applications Flood State Department
D.C. Clothesline – After U.S. State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf announced that the long-term strategy in the fight against ISIS was to create jobs for potential jihadists, countless terrorists began filling out applications. Here are a few examples (along with a blank application for potential jihadists on the job hunt). Please, keep in mind this is satire, ok?

How would you Know if your Government were Telling the Truth about Ebola in Texas?
Heh! Trick question! When was the last time our government was completely truthful about anything? How’s your healthcare living up to promises lately? But seriously, if you want to know what they expect to happen after our first case of Ebola was confirmed by the CDC in Dallas, Texas, you should first look at what they say about it, and then look at how they act. Clearly, how they prepare – what they actually do – is a better indicator of what they believe than what they say.
What they say about the current situation in Texas can be summed up by CDC director Thomas Frieden’s statement yesterday as quoted by CBSDFW news in Dallas:
Several minutes into the press conference, Frieden paused and stated clearly, “The bottom line here is that I have no doubt that we will control this importation of this case of Ebola so that it does not spread widely in this country.”
Frieden did admit that it is possible that a family member or other person who had contact with the patient while he was infectious could develop Ebola in the coming weeks. But, he said, “There is no doubt in my mind that we will stop it here.”
How they are preparing for what they really expect is indicated by a statement issued three weeks ago by Lakeland Industries, Inc. In their statement, they indicated that they were struggling to meet demand for “Hazmat Suits” specifically advertised for Ebola prevention, citing a single U.S. State Department bid for 160,000 suits. As ZeroHedge pointed out today, it’s not clear why the State Department has ordered so many suits of the kind usually chosen to work with airborne viruses, when their official statements indicate that Ebola is not airborne.
