Yesterday, with the Philadelphia Eagles football team mostly unwilling to come to the White House for a commemoration of their Super Bowl championship, President Trump welcomed Eagles fans and others for a different kind of celebration.

A Short Flag Tutorial
It seems a member of the Seattle “Let’s Get Upset About Everything” community thought she saw a CONFEDERATE FLAG flying on her street. Never mind ASKING THE NEIGHBOR about the flag, right? No, she REPORTED it to the Seattle Times.
Journalists RACED to the scene, only to learn from the confused homeowner that it was the flag of Norway, which was flying during the Olympics, because her parents had
immigratedemigrated from Norway and the Norwegians are totally killing it in Korea.
I thought I’d make a side-by-side of the Norwegian and Confederate flags to illustrate this story and learned that the flag (above) most of us think of as the “Confederate flag” was never the official flag of the Confederacy (pictured below).

Character
Michelle Lyons Cossar, who snapped the picture, wrote:
“Standing for the National Anthem at the Old Town Waterville football game today and from behind the stands we hear, ‘Hey, look! They aren’t kneeling.’ When I turn to see who said it, this is what I saw…three men roofing a house and respecting the flag. #classyroofers #nokneelinginWaterville”
One of the men told Fox News that they weren’t aware that a picture was taken. They stood for the anthem playing at the nearby football field, because it was the “right thing to do.”

A Moment of Real Patriotism in Professional Sports
On April 25, 1976, Rick Monday of the Chicago Cubs, grabbed and secured the American flag from two individuals as they were attempting to burn our flag in the middle of the playing field at Dodger Stadium. Monday says now, “It was wrong then and it’s wrong today. … I get letters every week from servicemen and kids thanking me.”

Patriotism Anyone
DNC adviser Zac Petkanas presumed to disparage the patriotism of Trump supporters. I don’t think “patriotism” means what he thinks it means.

Zac Petkanas: Spokesman for the Loony Left
Tucker Carlson had Zac Petkanas on his show. Petkanas called Trump a “monster” for declining to spend tax dollars providing local schools with information that is available on the internet. He also called Biology a “right wing pseudo science.”

MAGA BEGINS TODAY
My favorite line in President Trump’s inaugural speech was, “Patriotism leaves no room for prejudice.”
“You will never be ignored again,” President Trump said in his inaugural speech.
“Your voice, your hopes and your dreams will define our American destiny. Your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way. Together we will make America strong again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again.”
“Together, we will make America great again.”
