News, Too

Tonight is President Trump’s first formal address to a joint session of Congress.

Rosie O’Donnell to Lead Anti-Trump Protest Outside White House
CHAIN HER TO THE BUFFET TABLE… PROBLEM SOLVED
The rally — dubbed “A Resistance Address: Defending American Values in a Time of Moral Crisis” — is set to begin Tuesday at 6 p.m. Eastern.
O’Donnell’s decade-long public feud with Trump reached a new low after the election when the former View host shared a video on social media that questioned whether or not Trump’s youngest son, Barron, was autistic. While O’Donnell eventually apologized to Melania Trump for attacking her 10-year-old, the 54-year comedienne ratcheted up her criticism of Trump’s administration.

Democrats Prepare to Troll President Trump During Major Speech to Congress
Each legislator is allowed a handful of tickets for the public gallery, so that interested constituents and guests can be present for what is typically the President’s most important speech of the year.
This year, Democrats will be using their tickets as part of an organized effort to invite the families of illegal immigrants, DREAMers protected by former President Obama’s executive orders on immigration, and Muslim-Americans they claim will be harmed by Trump’s temporary travel ban. (A court has stayed Trump’s travel ban.)

Dems bringing young undocumented immigrants to Trump’s speech
Rep. Ami Bera (D-Calif.) is bringing Alfredo Rivas, a 25-year-old student who came from El Salvador at the age of 13 and wants to be an immigration attorney.
“When people ask me where I’m from, I say ‘California’ but I have worried every day since the election that my family or I could get deported at any time,” Rivas said in a statement.

Trump’s joint session speech to feature anecdotes from listening sessions
“A lot of what went into this came from the sit-downs and listening sessions that President Trump has done with healthcare industry leaders, law enforcement officials, union representatives and coal miners,” a senior White House official told reporters Monday night in reference to the president’s upcoming speech.

The official said Trump is still working with his team to put finishing touches on the major speech which will focus renewing “the American spirit” and providing “an optimistic vision for real Americans.”

“Americans have been waiting for help from their leaders for too long and during his speech the president will let them know that help is on the way,” the official said.

Widow of Murdered Police Officer Invited to Attend Trump’s Address to Congress
Elizabeth Snyder, the wife of murdered St. Louis County police officer Blake Snyder, has been invited by President Donald Trump to attend his address to Congress on Tuesday.
Snyder said she is honored to be invited to sit in House chambers and looks forward to what Trump will say about law enforcement, Fox 2 in St. Louis reported Monday.
Snyder’s husband was killed while responding to a disturbance call on the evening of Oct. 6.
Police believe Blake Snyder was shot dead after he asked to see 18-year-old Trenton Forster’s hands.
He was rushed to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.

Trump invites families of those killed by illegal immigrants to speech
President Trump has invited the family members of those killed by illegal immigrants and the widow of Justice Antonin Scalia to attend his address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night.

Maureen McCarthy Scalia will attend the speech, along with Jessica Davis and Susan Oliver — both widows of California police officers killed by an illegal immigrant in 2014.
The president is expected to highlight his campaign to deport illegal immigrants who have committed crimes in the United States.

Times presents ‘news’ that’s just propaganda for Bam
Want to know why President Trump rails about a “dishonest” press? Consider a Page One “news” story in Monday’s New York Times.
The headline, “Widespread Cuts in Trump Budget Bypass Military,” suggests news about the president’s spending plans. But the piece never says much about them — because it gets lost recalling the glories of President Barack Obama to rebut Trump’s claim that he inherited a “mess.”
By the time Obama gave his first speech to Congress (Trump gives his Tuesday), the Times claims, he already had an “impressive string of accomplishments,” including “actions that would ultimately help stabilize the financial and automotive sectors.”
Uh, no: Congress OK’d the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program while George W. Bush was president, and it was TARP that calmed the financial crisis. And the $800 billion “stimulus package” Obama pushed through in his first weeks was a flop. He himself later admitted those “shovel-ready jobs” didn’t exist.

Trump was telling the truth about Sweden

Just hours after Sweden’s Prime Minister slammed Donald Trump for claiming Sweden was in crisis because of its liberal refugee policy, a riot broke out in a refugee-heavy suburb of Stockholm.

2017_02-20-riot-in-sweden

When police tried to arrest a wanted person, a mob of about 30 attacked the officers and set ten cars on fire.

A group also attacked a photographer who was reporting on the incident.  “I was hit with a lot of punches and kicks both to my body and my head. I have spent the night in hospital,” he said.

Officials have identified more than 50 “no go” areas of Sweden where they admit they do not have control over the unruly refugee populations.

About ten days ago, police officers were assaulted by a mob. Three of the officers had to be hospitalized for their injuries.

One Swedish police officer took to Facebook to share his frustration.

“I’m so f***** tired. What I’m writing here isn’t politically correct. But I don’t care. Our pensioners are on their knees, the schools are a mess, healthcare is an inferno, the police is completely destroyed. Everyone knows why, but no one dares or wants to say why.”

So What Are We Protesting Today?

Apparently I’m not the only one who noticed the #STOP (pick a name) signs Tuesday night:
Senator Finds Hilarious Proof Liberals Were Ready To Protest Any Trump SCOTUS Nominee
Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse found evidence that liberal protesters at the Supreme Court Tuesday were ready to protest any nominee put forward by President Donald Trump.
Trump nominated Judge Neil Gorsuch to be a Supreme Court associate justice.
Sasse found signs that read “Stop,” with Gorsuch’s name written in marker.

UC Berkeley cancels right-wing provocateur’s talk amid violent protest
“This is what tolerance looks like at UC Berkeley,” Mike Wright of Berkeley College Republicans, the group that invited Yiannopoulos to the campus, said outside the student union building as smoke bombs went off around him.
As he spoke, someone threw a glass bottle of red paint at him. The bottle shattered and splattered paint on his clothing. “It’s sad,” he said.

Donald Trump Threatens to Cancel Berkeley Federal Funds After Riots Shut Down Milo Event
President Donald Trump reacted to the massive rioting at UC-Berkeley in response to a scheduled campus speech by Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos.
“If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view – NO FEDERAL FUNDS?” Trump wrote on Twitter early Thursday morning.

Thousands of protesters gather outside Chuck Schumer’s apartment
WHERE THE HELL DO THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?
Thousands of angry demonstrators gathered outside Sen. Chuck Schumer’s luxury Brooklyn apartment building — holding up signs and chanting “What the f–k, Chuck?!” — to protest his lukewarm stance on President Trump’s cabinet picks.
“Senator Schumer needs to know we’re watching him,” fumed Brad Wolchansky, a 40-year-old soccer coach from Flatbush who was carrying a cardboard cutout of a giant eye on Tuesday night.

Variety Writer Calls for Protests at Oscars: ‘Our Very Perception of Reality is Up For Grabs’
Gleibermann concedes that in recent years “Oscar-night advocacy has become, more often than not, a breed of self-abrogating kitsch…conforming to what I’m tempted to call the Susan Sarandon Principle: The bigger the star, the more off-putting — and therefore ineffective — the display of high-minded compassion.”
However, to Gleiberman, protesting President Trump is not about specifically policies but because Trump lacks empathy.

RNC Highlights Democrats’ ‘Hypocrisy’ Over SCOTUS Nominee Filibuster

The new video from the RNC includes clips of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.), ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Patrick Leahy (Vt.), and Sen. Warren. The clips come from a variety of television appearances and Senate floor speeches in which lawmakers urged their Republican colleagues to hold hearings and votes on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee from last year, Judge Merrick Garland.

His Terrible Swift Sword

At some point the two-legged reptiles who slither around Washington are going to realize doing battle with Donald Trump is a fool’s errand. But resist they will, because it is what defines them. Those who cross him pay a price.

Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, Appointed By OBAMA, Tells Justice Department Not Defend Trump’s Refugee Order

”I am responsible for ensuring that the positions we take in court remain consistent with this institution’s solemn obligation to always seek justice and stand for what is right,” Yates said in the letter.

“At present, I am not convinced that the defense of the executive order is consistent with these responsibilities nor am I convinced that the executive order is lawful.”

Meet the ex-DOJ official who defied Trump
The unusual act of defiance was all the more remarkable considering Yates, a DOJ veteran who is 56 years old, only assumed that role Jan. 20, when the administrations changed.

The White House ousted Yates Monday night following her show of defiance, appointing Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to serve as acting attorney general instead.

This president will not tolerate insubordination from people sworn to follow the law.

Trump names new acting director of immigration enforcement
ap_330948377227_s878x585
Acting ICE Director Daniel Ragsdale was relieved of his temporary duties Monday night and replaced by Thomas Homan.  Mr. Homan has been ICE’s executive associate director of enforcement and removal operations since 2013. Mr. Ragsdale will go back to previous job as deputy director.

Meet the man the White House has honored for deporting illegal immigrants
Thomas Homan deports people. And he’s really good at it. Homan is the Washington bureaucrat in charge of rounding up, detaining and kicking illegal immigrants out of the country.

New Acting Attorney General Orders Justice Department To Defend The Lawful Orders Of President Trump
In the span of just a couple of hours, President Trump fired a weak acting Attorney General and named her replacement. Dana Boente is the new acting Attorney General until Senator Jeff Sessions is confirmed.

The news acting Attorney General had a very strong message for the Justice Department: “Defend the lawful orders of our President.”

IN OTHER NEWS,TRUMP WILL ANNOUNCE HIS PICK FOR SUPREME COURT JUSTICE AT 8 THIS EVENING. THE CHANCES OF THE DEMOCRATS HOWLING LIKE SCORCHED CATS AS THEY LAUNCH A FILIBUSTER ARE ABOUT 100%.  IF THERE WERE A DEPARTMENT OF SCRAP AND RECYCLING THEY’D FILIBUSTER FRED G. SANFORD IF HE WERE NOMINATED.

Trading a Show Horse for a Work Horse

The differences between Barack Obama and Donald Trump are stark.

Barack Obama received his education at the exclusive Punahou School in Hawaii, paid for by his maternal grandmother who, decades later, he would refer to as a ‘typical white woman.’ There is no evidence he ever did homework, as he eschewed work as it interfered with his love for goofing off and getting high with his ‘choom gang.’

He realized early in life his white half got him no special favors. Being black earned him a pass to Columbia, and later to Harvard after he applied as a foreign student (Indonesian). He was named head of the Harvard Law Review, strictly so the school could brag about having a black man in that position. He never wrote a single sentence or published one article while at the Review.

No one will ever know what kind of student he was since he had his records sealed by court order before he ever ran for office. What we do know is that for his entire term, he avoided as much work as he could. As an Illinois state senator he rarely made legislative sessions and almost never voted except ‘present.’ His friend, Senator Emil Phillips, wrote a couple small, almost meaningless bills for him to present as his own. His reputation at the Chicago School of Law was as a lazy person who never attended meetings. The school’s board insisted he be given an office and a class. You can draw your own conclusions why. He is lazy, narcissistic, and a world class hedonist.

Donald J. Trump received an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. In 1971, he took charge of his family’s real estate and construction firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son, which was later renamed The Trump Organization. During his business career, Trump has built, renovated, and managed numerous office towers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses.

Rather than avoid work, he thrives on it. He is strong-willed, which is a must if you want to run the country, but is not dictatorial. He realizes that to succeed you need people who are experienced and are the best at what they do. He worked for everything he has and apologizes to no one.

Unlike Obama, who has to squat on other peoples’ property for his frequent getaways, Trump owns his own resorts and golf courses. Even though he loves golf as much as Obama, his priorities are focusing on undoing the harm his predecessor wrought. The country is far better off with Barry on permanent vacation.

Obama never did this:
President Donald Trump Calls Husband Of Murdered Orlando Lt. Debra Clayton

According to WKMG, Lt. Debra Clayton’s husband received a phone call from President-elect Donald Trump in the days after her death. Florida State Attorney General Pam Bondi said on Wednesday that Trump and Seth (Clayton’s husband) had a “brief, very touching, private conversation between two husbands.” Lt. Debra Clayton left behind a devoted family and many relationships in the Orlando community.

A little-known fact was that after he first killed his ex-girlfriend then shot Lt.Clayton he had a clear path to escape. Instead, he walked over to the fallen officer and shot her in the face numerous times.

Orlando Police capture suspected cop killer Markeith Loyd after week-long manhunt

Loyd bellowed, “They beat me up,” while cops paraded the nabbed suspect with a swollen and cut face in front of reporters, video shows.
Mina said at a press conference that Loyd received minor “facial injuries” after briefly resisting arrest, and that he had also attempted to flee at one point.

TSK TSK. WHEN YOU BUTCHER A COP, BAD THINGS MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOU ON THE WAY TO THE LOCKUP. ASSHOLE.

Trump pledges federal help after deadly southern storms
Trump said he spoke with Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal on Sunday and planned to speak with Florida Gov. Rick Scott as well.  During the swearing-in ceremony for his top advisers on Sunday, Trump expressed his condolences for the lives lost and damaged caused.

Remember when Obama stood by and did nothing after the BP oil spill for two months until the slick made landfall, wiping out hundreds of businesses and costing tens of thousands of jobs just so he could use it as an excuse to shut down all drilling in the gulf? How about the ice storms that devastated Kentucky or the floods that hit Nashville? The tornadoes in Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas? Oh,wait … those states didn’t vote for him. Sorry, can’t help you.

Trump looks to speed up Keystone XL with executive actions

Trump plans to move soon on issuing the executive order to end the carbon metric, while issuing a second order to remove regulatory roadblocks for approving trans-border pipeline projects such as the Keystone XL project to connect Canada’s oil sands to U.S. refiners in the Gulf of Mexico, Bloomberg reported

The pipeline order would remove the State Department’s authority to review pipeline projects that cross U.S. borders, which appears to be an attempt to speed up project reviews and remove proceedings that could create a way for environmental groups to block the projects.

THE PRESIDENT SHOULD RIGHTLY POINT OUT THAT THE PIPELINE MEANS 20-30,000 UNION JOBS, ALONG WITH ASSOCIATED SERVICES LIKE RESTAURANTS AND MOTELS FOR THE WORKERS.
