Saturday Shorts

Just a lazy Saturday. Got to WalMart early to fight the food stamp crowd. Finding a handicap parking space is nearly impossible, as are electric carts… at 9:00 AM. A few hits, a few near misses, and back home again.

Here’s How Democrats Plan to Destroy President Trump
Despite all the chaos and firings in the Trump administration, President Trump is delivering for middle class voters. Americans don’t care about Sean Spicer, Reince Priebus or Anthony Scaramucci. They care about jobs, rising incomes, and their retirement accounts.
Donald Trump isn’t a politician — he’s a one-man wrecking ball against our dysfunctional and corrupt establishment. We’re about to see the deluxe version of the left’s favorite theme: Vote for us or we’ll call you stupid. It’s the working class against the smirking class.
They want to marginalize you – to make you feel as though you are in the minority.
So they insult you, demean you, dismiss you – all in hopes that you simply stay home and stay quiet.
But Donald Trump changed all that. He began a movement. Or, as they saying goes, he awakened the sleeping giant.
And the insufferable Smirking Class despises him for it. This is why they want to get rid of him.

‘Everything The President Wants To Do, McMaster Opposes,’ Former NSC Officials Say
“Everything the president wants to do, McMaster opposes,” a former senior official said in a wide-ranging interview. “Trump wants to get us out of Afghanistan — McMaster wants to go in. Trump wants to get us out of Syria — McMaster wants to go in. Trump wants to deal with the China issue — McMaster doesn’t. Trump wants to deal with the Islam issue — McMaster doesn’t.

Top Trump officials addressed the ‘staggering’ number of intelligence leaks
Following Sessions remarks, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats similarly expressed “grave concern” about the number of intelligence leaks, saying that they jeopardize the safety and security of Americans, as well as give foreign adversaries an advantage.
“We won’t tolerate it,” Coats said defiantly. “We will find you.”
He continued, “We will will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law, and you will nto be happy with the result.”

Report: McCain Wants Congress to Pass ‘Gang of Eight’ Amnesty Bill When He Returns
McCain, before leaving Washington to get cancer treatments in Arizona, reportedly spoke to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) about joining forces again to pass the “Gang of Eight” bill. After joining Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) to defeat the GOP’s “skinny repeal” of Obamacare, McCain, who has always wanted to be known as a straight-talking independent, was lionized by Democrats and the legacy media, with CNN paying homage to his “maverick moment.”

Neil Cavuto Slams Newsweek Over ‘Lazy Boy’ Trump Cover: ‘This Cover Is a Sin’
On Friday, Neil Cavuto ripped Newsweek for their latest cover depicting President Trump as a ‘lazy boy’, calling it “over the top.”
“I wouldn’t say representative all of mainstream media, this is a bit extreme- but this is an opinion piece that just bashes the president,” he began, “and six months into his presidency, seems to take the conclusion he’s a total disaster with little chance of turning things around.”

John McCain is a Lying Traitor

If he had kept his campaign promise, the vote would have been 50-50, allowing the Vice President to break the tie and pass REPEAL.

NINE months ago, McCain promised to REPEAL and REPLACE Obamacare. [4:34]

THIS WEEK, McCain voted NO to REPEAL and REPLACE Obamacare. [1:18]

I think this betrayal confirms every suspicion we’ve ever had that McCain was a traitor in Vietnam, that the Democrats have proof of it, and that they have used it to control him throughout his career. I briefly entertained some hope that his imminent appearance at the Pearly Gates would lead him to flip the bird at his Democrat masters. I’m certain they made sure to remind him before this vote that they would not hesitate to destroy his reputation forever if he didn’t toe the Democrat line on this critical vote. It’s sad that he would be more concerned with his temporal reputation than with his eternal destination, but that’s how he has lived his whole life. He’ll reap what he has sowed.

See, I Told You So

At the time of my last posting the vote on the “skinny repeal” had not been cast yet. As expected, at least by many of us, it stood absolutely no chance of passing. All it took to defeat it was three reliably-democrat votes by republicans. Good ol’ Johnny McC and his his stable of whores, Lisa “Lips’ Murkowski and Susie “the Lisp” Collins betrayed the country and relegated it to what will ultimately end up being a single payer system. The government just has to run the private insurers out of business, which it is in the process of doing. My Medicare supplemental insurance carrier sent me a letter today saying my monthly premiums are going up more than 10% in September. Thanks, jackasses.

Obamacare Repeal Collapses as Senate GOP Blocks Health Bill
Democrats immediately called for a bipartisan debate on how to fix Obamacare.
“We are not celebrating. We’re relieved,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York said after the vote. “Let’s turn the page and work together to improve our health care system.” He also said Democrats would be willing to help expedite bipartisan legislation and to advance Trump administration nominations.

Penalty for refusing to get health insurance remains intact
Opponents of President Barack Obama’s health care law who wanted to get rid of the penalty people were assessed for not having health insurance will have to wait longer for relief after the Senate early Friday defeated the GOP’s scaled-back version of legislation repealing the Affordable Care Act.
One of the main reasons GOP lawmakers had given in their quest to overturn Obamacare was that they want to lower premiums for people who buy individual health insurance policies, particularly constituents who get no help from the law’s tax credits. Some states are facing a second year of double-digit hikes.

Cryin’ Chuck Praises Liar John McCain for Speaking “Truth to Power” and Sticking Americans with O-Care
Senator McCain ran on repealing Obamacare.
He is a liar.
Senator McCain has cancer.
He was given a hero’s welcome when he returned.

John McCain does not have Obamacare.
He has a special exemption for Senators and lawmakers from Obamacare.
He does not have to worry about the Arizona premiums which have doubled since Obamacare was implemented.
Last night Senator McCain, 48 Democrats and two fellow Republicans killed Obamacare repeal.
On Friday Cryin’ Chuck Schumer praised John McCain for sticking the American people with Obamacare.
It was a fitting ending to a treasonous career.

Schumer: McCain Ranks as Great as Ted Kennedy
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) today declared Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) to have joined the ranks of late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) when it comes to greatness in Congress.
“And the credit goes to a lot of people, but at the top of the list are the three who showed amazing courage to resist the pressure and do what’s good for the country. John McCain at the top of the list,” Schumer, who hugged McCain after the vote, said. “He and I have been friends for a very long time, ever since the Gang of Eight which we put together.

The Potomac Two-Step

Far and away the most popular song on every juke box in every watering hole in the nation’s capitol for the last four decades is The Potomac Two-Step, as performed by Little Johnny McCain and the RINOS.

Here’s how it goes:

Time to get elected, step to the right, put your hands in the air and “who you gonna call?”
Time to head back to DC, turn yourself around
Grab your favorite democrat by the hand and dough-see-dough.
Ain’t nobody cuttin’ in, it’s our party and we’ll lie if we want to.

The GOP elite have entrenched themselves firmly in the deep pockets of the big money interests who grease the wheels of corruption that propel Washington. They’ve made it painfully clear that they will give Trump no help, as he is an outsider. The normal procedure for both parties on any important legislation is to come up just short of the votes to move anything. That way they can go back to their home districts or states and proclaim they fought for it, but, darn it, the votes just weren’t there. We need more people, so we can act like we’re gonna change anything.

Only democrats do that, and it took billions in bribes to get Obamacare shoved through. Now that it is law, it’s become painfully obvious that republicans lack the will to repeal it. They think you can get rid of the mandates and the government interference while keeping the perqs, like children insured until age 26 and covering pre-existing conditions, the costliest parts of this disaster. Obama knew, like a drug dealer, give them the free stuff up front. Then, like boiling a frog, turn up the heat without it noticing until it dies.

Face it, Republicans Have No Intention of Repealing Obamacare
“if you’ve got that anger working for you, you’re gonna let it be”
What’s happening with Obamacare repeal, you ask? That is a fantastic question. But at this point, it’s quite clear that Republicans who campaigned on repealing the ACA have zero intention of doing so now that the opportunity has presented itself.

Seven Republican Senators voted against a so-called “clean repeal” bill Wednesday. Sens McCain, Murkowski, Capito, Lamar Alexander, Collins, Portman, and Heller are responsible for tanking the latest repeal effort. The bill offered no replacement but promised to delay full repeal, giving lawmakers time to figure out the rest.

The bill failed after the world fell apart Tuesday, blaming Sen. McCain for single-handedly sentencing millions to certain death because he had the audacity to vote to open up debate…for a bill he voted against less than 24-hours later

McCain, RINOs vote with Dems to keep federal funding for abortion

With the amendment what was just shot down in flames suppose to have seen ObamaCare ending in two years, this is seen as a real setback for President Trump, despite Republicans having a majority in the Senate.

Among the provisions that today’s vote might have ended would be federal funding for abortions.

But thanks to the likes of Arizona senator John McCain, unborn children will continue to literally be ripped limb from limb, courtesy of the US taxpayers.

[CtH: Apparently, my optimism about his brain tumor making him concerned about final judgment was misplaced.]

Republicans repeal and replace the Tea Party

Even when Republicans control the White House and both houses of Congress, liberalism remains the default ideology of the federal government.

A Republican Senate could not muster even 50 votes for the full repeal of Obamacare’s taxes and spending. Six Republican senators who had voted for repeal in 2015, when the party was merely pretending it was possible, flipped on Wednesday rather than deliver.

ObamaCare’s GOP Preservers

Congress had passed and sent to Barack Obama’s desk a similar measure in 2015, with support from every current Senate Republican except Susan Collins of Maine. This time seven voted no, including Rob Portman of Ohio and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia, who aren’t up for re-election until 2022 and 2020, respectively. If you’re going to renege on your political promises, better to do it early, we suppose.

Perkins: I Was Told the GOP’s 2015 Obamacare Repeal Was Only ‘a Messaging Vote’

Perkins said the FRC is for a clean repeal of Obamacare. “That’s what we advocated for from the beginning,” he said.

“We worked back in 2015 to get that repeal through. I worked with Majority Whip Steve Scalise to help craft the language on Planned Parenthood and get that into reconciliation,” said Perkins.

Added Perkins, “It passed, went to the president, and I’ve had a couple of conversations with some senators who said, ‘Well, that was a messaging vote.’ I said, ‘Really? You didn’t communicate that to the American people.’”

2016 Ad: ‘John McCain Leading The Fight To STOP OBAMACARE’

That was back when he needed the votes of Arizonans to put him back in the Senate.
Those days are gone. Yesterday, he joined Democrats in sinking the Republican bill to repeal Obamacare. The measure was a clean repeal with a 2 year window to replace the ACA.

So here’s the ad McCain ran just prior to the election in AZ in 2016. He slams his Dem opponent for supporting Obamacare

Levin: GOP ‘Lied Their Way Into Office,’ Perpetrated ‘Greatest Hoax in Modern Politics’

“Here comes rationing, long waiting periods, and massive red-tape,” said Mark Levin in all caps on. “The Republicans lied their way into office in what is the greatest hoax in modern politics.”

Levin’s comments came after seven Republican senators joined Democrats in voting no on a “clean repeal” of Obamacare promoted by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. on Wednesday.

Prayers up for Senator McCain

John McCain has led a colorful life. The son of a Navy admiral, he served in Vietnam (a hell of a lot longer than John Kerry) and spent 4 years as a POW in the Hanoi Hilton. What actually happened while he was a captive will never be known. Whether he suffered torture or got special treatment in exchange for cooperating with his enemies is for other people to say.

What is known is that when he returned to civilian life he married a wealthy beer heiress, was elected to the House of Representatives, and later became a senator. He became one of the democrats’ best allies, nearly always siding with them on any important legislation. He handed the presidency to Barack Obama in 2008 and delights in going on television to trash his own party.

Although he has continually angered and frustrated conservatives, he now faces the fight of his life against a formidable foe. It’s a form of cancer called glioblastoma. It was discovered during a minor surgical procedure.

About 20,000 people in the U.S. each year are diagnosed with a glioblastoma. The American Cancer Society puts the five-year survival rate for patients over 55 at about 4 percent.

Because glioblastomas can grow rapidly, the most common symptoms are usually caused by increased pressure in the brain. These symptoms can include headache, nausea, vomiting, and drowsiness.
Glioblastoma can be difficult to treat because the tumors contain so many different types of cells, the association says.

As expected, the tributes have poured in for the senator from all over. Fortunately, he has the best healthcare on the planet, but cancer does not discriminate when it comes to its victims. My grandson Tyler is eight years old and has been doing battle with it for almost two years.

Sen. John McCain diagnosed with malignant brain tumor
In a statement, McConnell said: “John McCain is a hero to our Conference and a hero to our country. He has never shied from a fight and I know that he will face this challenge with the same extraordinary courage that has characterized his life. The entire Senate family’s prayers are with John, Cindy and his family, his staff, and the people of Arizona he represents so well.”

Say It Ain’t So, Joe

It has been reported that the president will pick his new FBI director.
Rumor is he will tap Joe Lieberman.
Joe Lieberman?
He has to pick a fossilized old former democrat-turned-independent-stiff?
This is the best man for the job?
He backed McCain over the Magic Negro in 2008.
He switched party affiliation from democrat to independent, even though he caucused with the dems. He could get away with this because, like many politicos who spend decades in DC, their reelection is almost automatic. The democrats dislike him, the GOP elite love him.
That was proven with the Obamacare votes. They all just come with different price tags.
I do not regret voting for Trump, he’s done some good things. But there are a lot of things he does that are simply head scratching. He is who he is and that will never change.

Trump ‘very close’ to picking new FBI chief, leaning toward Lieberman
Lieberman would be an unusual pick for the job — past FBI chiefs have either worked at the bureau or served as a federal judge or prosecutor. He was attorney general of Connecticut before being elected to the Senate in 1988.
The former Democratic vice presidential nominee currently works at the law firm Kasowitz Benson Torres in New York – the same firm as Trump’s attorney Marc Kasowitz.

Senate Democrats say ‘hell no’ to Trump’s choice of Joe Lieberman for FBI Director
According to Politico, if Trump thought that Lieberman would be a choice welcomed by Democrats, he got it squarely wrong. Lieberman is not popular among his former Senate colleagues. From a series of policy defections on key issues to Lieberman’s decision to run as an independent in Connecticut after he lost the Democratic primary to challenger Ned Lamont in 2006, the former senator made many enemies among his own caucus.
Furthermore, critics of Trump’s decision stress that the role of FBI director should be filled by someone who isn’t a politician. Lieberman was Al Gore’s vice presidential running mate in 2000 and ran for president himself in 2004.

McCain To Democrats Criticizing Lieberman Over FBI Position: He Has More Experience Than All My Dem Colleagues, So Screw Them
In 2008, there were rumors circulating that Lieberman could be picked as McCain’s running mate. McCain reportedly wanted to make that happen. It didn’t, though Lieberman did address the Republican National Convention that year. He also endorsed McCain for president, which caused his Democratic colleagues, with whom he caucused with, some heartburn.

Spraying the field and hope I hit something. The media never take any time off from their jihad to bring the president down. The Democrat Party doesn’t have to lift a finger.

3 Republican Senators reject repeal of Obama’s draconian methane emission rules

President Trump has scored significant successes undoing the toxic eco-activist legacy of his predecessor, including the executive orders moving the signing of Keystone and Dakota Access Pipelines forward.
However, it seems that he cannot rely on certain establishment Republicans to continue his efforts. Before reading this piece further, pause for a moment and ask yourself which 3 GOP Senators would, when given a chance to vote to repeal Obama’s drilling rules, would just say “NO”.

If you guessed John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Susan Collins, you would be correct.

Wisconsin Democrats still blaming voter ID laws for Clinton’s loss

The subject of “Why did Hillary lose” has become the 21st century replacement for Why Can’t Johnny Read, and there will likely be even more books written about it before this issue ever settles into the dustbin of history. Everyone seems to have their own convenient version of the story, but at least some liberals in Wisconsin have settled on a favorite old stalking horse… voter ID laws.

Wisconsin voter ID law proved insurmountable for many votersBut it is not hard to find the dying woman whose license had expired or the recent graduate whose student ID was deficient — or Harris, who at 66 made her way to her polling place despite chronic lung disease and a torn ligament in her knee.
She had lost her driver’s license just before Election Day. Aware of the new law, she brought her Social Security and Medicare cards as well as a county-issued bus pass that displayed her photo. Not good enough. She was turned away.

Betsy DeVos Booed While Giving Commencement Address at Historically Black University

Half the graduating class turned their backs on DeVos, requiring the university president to intervene. Many students and alumni had objected to having DeVos as speaker in part because they said the outreach by President Trump and the education secretary to historically black schools is an empty gesture. But the president of the university defended her work as a philanthropist and her commitment to education.

NBC’s Lester Holt Interrupts Trump 9 Times in 3 Minutes – Gave Obama a Cake Walk Interview in January
But back in January of this year Lester Holt gave President Obama a cake walk interview.  Holt was nothing but agreeable with the former president who left office with the worst economic and foreign policy record in US history. on Thursday posted a two minute and 34 second preview clip of anchor Lester Holt’s exclusive sit-down with President Donald Trump. The clip features Holt conducting an interrogation-like interview in which the NBC personality interrupted Trump nine times and spoke over the president on many of those occasions.

In the two weeks since the Democrat signed Senate Bill 1, opponents have launched an initiative drive to repeal the $52.4 billion transportation package as well as a recall campaign to eject a vulnerable Democratic state senator who is seen as the deciding vote for the law.

“The voters are enraged,” said Assemblyman Travis Allen, the Orange County Republican behind the repeal initiative, which is pegged to the November 2018 ballot.

Gas is already expensive in California — the state vies with Hawaii for the nation’s highest per-gallon prices — and SB1 will make it more so by dinging motorists with a 12-cent-per-gallon excise tax hike on gasoline, a 20-cent increase on diesel and higher vehicle registration fees in order to fill potholes, repair roads and bridges, and expand mass transit.

Steve Schmidt: McCain, Graham, Sasse Might Want “Democratic Congress To Protect National Security”

John McCain 2008 campaign staffer & MSNBC “GOP strategist” Steve Schmidt said that Republicans who support President Trump have become “faithless to their oaths” and suggested some members of the GOP like Senators Lindsey Graham, Ben Sasse, Richard Burr, and John McCain might be forced to support the Democrats in 2018 on grounds of “national security.”

NYPD cops forbidden from breaking up noisy parties
A new NYPD directive forbids cops from entering a residence in response to a noise complaint — unless they’re given permission.

The bizarre constraint is the result of costly, successful lawsuits against the city by homeowners who complained that cops barged onto their properties without a warrant, multiple sources told The Post.

“Parties will go into early morning, which will involve more drinking and neighbors getting into fights, resulting in more shootings,” noted another law enforcement source.

“It will be a long, hot summer.”

Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comey

If you remember this from all the way back in 1959, you’re REALLY showing your age.

This play on words comes from the dark recesses of my mind, which is a very dangerous place to be.

Trump mocks Comey backlash: President accuses Cryin’ Chuck Schumer of hypocrisy after Senate minority leader claims firing of FBI director has ‘shattered’ the criminal justice system
Donald Trump defended his firing of James Comey in a tweet Tuesday night
Said ‘Cryin’ Chuck Schumer’ was acting indignant for saying that he’d told the President that firing Comey was a ‘very big mistake’
Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey in a letter that read: ‘You are hereby terminated and removed from office immediately’
Comey found out on live TV screens in Los Angeles that he was being fired but thought it was a joke until he was briefed by his staff
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote formal memo saying they had no confidence in him
Trump used letter dismissing Comey to say: ‘I greatly appreciate you informing me, in three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation’
Democrats piled on by comparing Trump to Richard Nixon who fired top justice officials in the Saturday Night Massacre but Clinton aide said: ‘No comment.’
New acting FBI director is Andrew McCabe – and he too is caught in the toxic impact of Clinton as his politician wife got cash from a Hillary ally

This puts Hillary in a quandary; she’s pissed and moaned for 6 months about Comey costing her her rightful destiny. Now that Trump has fired him she has to defend him. This, of course, smacks of rank hypocrisy but we’ve come to expect nothing less from one of the richest criminal enterprises in the course of this nation.

Comey’s Temporary Replacement Has Strong Ties To A Clinton Ally
McCabe was previously the deputy FBI director and following President Trump’s dismissal of James Comey, he will be in charge of the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency. The White House said Tuesday that the search for a new FBI director will begin immediately.

Until the administration finds this director, a man strongly connected to the Democratic Party will be in charge. The Democratic Virginia governor’s PAC donated $467,500 to McCabe’s wife Jill McCabe’s 2015 state Senate campaign. The Virginia Democratic Party also spent a little over $200,000 on the campaign.

The now-acting FBI director’s wife lost the campaign to the Republican incumbent. After the Wall Street Journal reported these findings, then-candidate Trump said, “We’ve never had a thing like this in the history of this country.”

10 Major FBI Scandals on Comey’s Watch

The FBI interviewed almost every terrorist who successfully struck America
Comey will inevitably be remembered for the controversial role he played in the 2016 presidential election, where his agency conducted surveillance of the Trump campaign as well as investigated the Clinton camp for mishandling classified materials, giving both sides arguments for how the FBI ultimately swayed the vote.

But even before the 2016 campaign, the FBI endured a number of humiliations under Comey’s tenure. Most damning were revelations that the FBI was generally aware of almost every terrorist who successfully struck America over the last eight years.

Trump mocks Comey backlash: President accuses Cryin’ Chuck Schumer of hypocrisy after Senate minority leader claims firing of FBI director has ‘shattered’ the criminal justice system
Donald Trump defended his firing of James Comey in a tweet Tuesday night

Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey in a letter that read: ‘You are hereby terminated and removed from office immediately’

Trump used letter dismissing Comey to say: ‘I greatly appreciate you informing me, in three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation’
‘Mistake’: The White House put out a dossier which consisted of anti-Comey statements from Democrats including Senator Chuck Schumer – but Schumer said the president needed to now appoint a special prosecutor to look into the claims of collusion with the Russians.

The democrats have used Comey as their scapegoat for the chaos in their party, saying his investigating, dropping, then resuming the search of Hillary’s e-mails is what cost them the White house. Now they must pivot to claim he was fired because he was about to indict somebody in the Trump-Russia election tampering case.Anybody with a functional brain knows this never happened, which leaves out the democrat electorate. They just swallow the liberal horseshit whole.

Liberals are predictably having the vapors over the dismissal of a man who had no business being there in the first place.
The dems’ best friend, Juan McAmnesty, sided with them, along with Linda Graham who claims everyone was aware of the Russian collusion.

Democrats Go WILD! Conspiracies, Condemnation, and Vitriol Over Comey Firing
Democrats were quick to ascribe blame to Comey when it had to do with Clinton’s losing of the Presidential election. Now that President Trump has fired him, Democrats are inversely hot to call this an “abuse of power”.
Take a look at the leftstream media’s condemnation of Comey:

Brian Williams: Comey Firing “May Become Known as the Tuesday Afternoon Massacre”
MSNBC has wasted no time in drawing parallels between Watergate/Richard Nixon and President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.

Hosting the network’s special coverage this afternoon, Brian Williams said the firing “may become known as the Tuesday Afternoon Massacre” at the FBI.
