Fracking: Leaner and More Efficient

In 2014, OPEC began flooding the global marketplace with oil in an attempt to depress prices to counter competition, largely from fracking.  Oil prices fell from $105 per barrel in June 2014 to only $29.04 per barrel in January 2016.

But, OPEC’s strategy backfired.  According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), OPEC’s artificially low oil prices succeeded only in making fracking companies “leaner and more efficient.”  In fact, oil production here at home remained relatively constant.

Now, OPEC has announced it will be cutting production, sending the price soaring to $52.04 per barrel, illustrating why we need to decrease our dependence on imported oil and increase U.S. production.

EPA, not fracking, fouls wells

Nov 10, 2016: A landmark report by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) was released today showing the wells in Pavillion, Wyoming, were contamined NOT by fracking, but by the piss poor job the EPA did in drilling the water-quality monitoring wells.

WDEQ officials have also asked the EPA to plug and abandon those two faulty monitoring wells citing the “potential hazard they pose.”

In other news, a five-year study conducted by Obama’s EPA found ZERO evidence that fracking contaminates drinking water anywhere.

Case Closed: Landmark Report Clears Fracking and Debunks Activist Claims on Pavillion

Being a Leftist means …

… never having to trouble your little grey cells with facts.

1970 Life mag

Also, Leftists tried to suppress study results because they show that fracking is “a safe source of jobs, prosperity and low-cost energy.” They find this result “disappointing.” That says a lot about the Left, no?

“Geologists at the University of Cincinnati just wrapped up a three-year investigation of hydraulic fracturing and its impact on local water supplies.

“The result? There’s no evidence—zero, zilch, nada—that fracking contaminates drinking water. Researchers hoped to keep these findings secret.

“Why would a public research university boasting a top-100 geology program deliberately hide its work? Because, as lead researcher Amy Townsend-Small explained, ‘our funders, the groups that had given us funding in the past, were a little disappointed in our results. They feel that fracking is scary and so they were hoping our data could point to a reason to ban it’.”

Surprisingly, this story made it into Newsweek.

Anti-Fracking protests being funded by Russian oil company

Burning Springs

Those of us who have seen FrackNation already knew that Big Oil was funding the anti-fracking whack-jobs who refuse to look at decades of successful fracking wells and test data.  But wow … to have this factoid turn up in the leftie New York Times?!  Shocking!

“Before stepping down in September as NATO’s secretary general, Anders Fogh Rasmussen said, ‘Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called nongovernmental organizations — environmental organizations working against shale gas — to maintain dependence on imported Russian gas’.”

The Russians deny it, of course, but I’m not impressed.

“Russian news media, she added, were curiously active in covering and fueling opposition to fracking in Pungesti. RT, a state-run Russian TV news channel aimed at foreign audiences, provided blanket coverage of the protests and carried warnings that villagers, along with their crops and animals, would perish from poisoned water.”

“Expose: Hollywood’s War on US Energy”

James O’Keefe and Project Veritas expose the truth about the dark funding behind Hollywood’s anti-fracking messaging machine.

An undercover journalist from Project Veritas posed as a member of a Middle Eastern oil dynasty and offered $9 million to American filmmakers to fund an anti-fracking movie for the express purpose of protecting Middle East billionaires from competition from American energy producers.

Ed Begley Jr., Mariel Hemingway and Josh and Rebecca Tickell all agree to take the money and hide the source of funds.

Sample Dialogue:

“Muhammad”: “My client’s interest is to end American energy independence; your interest is to end fracking. And you guys understand that?”

Josh Tickell: “Correct. Yes, super clear. We would never tell about where the funding is coming from. That would be really awkward for us. We’re confident that we can keep this zip locked, you know tight, air-tight forever. If we don’t protect who is kind of funding this thing, if we have to disclose that or that becomes a necessary part of it, the whole enterprise will not work. Money to us doesn’t have a moral vibration.”

Rebecca Tickell explains in detail how their connection to, which is sponsored by the anti-American Progressive George Soros. She also named groups they know that would be appalled by Middle Eastern Big Oil funding. She explains how she and Josh would happily CON these groups to sign on and sponsor the film WITHOUT knowing where it’s funding originated.

About Fracking Fluid

For 3 DAYS out of the decades-long fracking process, the well has fracking fluid pumped into it. This fluid is supposedly the big bugaboo that is ACK POISONING OUT GROUND WATER. Except it isn’t.

“We have not had one case in which the fluids … have returned to contaminate ground water.”

John Hanger, former secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection

And, oh yeah, it’s not poison. It’s mostly water and sand. A tiny percentage is made up of TABLE SALT plus some lubricants and stuff that are found in cosmetics, household cleaners and food. In other words, it’s nothing we don’t all wash down our drains ALL THE TIME.

Fracking Fluid

  • Sodium chloride is common table salt.
  • Ethylene glycol is used in antifreeze. It is weakly toxic to humans, but breaks down in water or soil in a few weeks.
  • Borate salts is sold in grocery stores as Borax. It’s also found in creams, lotions, shampoos, gels, bath salts, and bath bombs.
  • Sodium carbonate is baking soda.
  • Potassium carbonate is used in both human and animal food and to soften hard water.
  • Guar gum is ground up guar beans. It is used as a thickener and stabilizer in many foods.
  • Isopropanol is rubbing alcohol.
