Clutching at Straws

The democrats and the media (IBID) have been trying to put forth the illusion of a united front despite deep divisions between the DC elite and the outspoken and violent class of ‘progressives’ that follow full-blown socialists like the Berniecrats.

There have been a number of special elections since the coup d’etat administered by one Donald J. Trump.  They poured tens of millions of dollars into trying to show they’re still relevant.  Up until now they’ve come up empty and heartbroken.

They finally managed to flip 2 seats in statewide races and now feel like they’re on a roll. Nothing can stop them now. The future is theirs. The House will be back in their clutches after the midterms. How glorious it will be when San Fran Nan gets that big-ass gavel back so she and her homies can stop Trump’s efforts to strengthen America and put people back to work.

Democrats Just Flipped Seats In 2 Districts That Voted For Donald Trump

Two districts that voted for Donald Trump in last year’s presidential election selected Democrats for state legislature seats in New York and New Hampshire on Tuesday night.

NY Democrat Christine Pellegrino defeated Republican Thomas Gargiulo in a special election in a Long Island, New York, State Assembly district that Trump won by 23 percent.  Pellegrino served as a delegate for Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention last year.

NH Democrat Edith DesMarais won a special election for a seat in New Hampshire’s GOP-controlled House of Representatives.  Trump won that district by 7 points.

The Democrats Think They’ll Ride a Wave in 2018

RUSH: Here’s the headline: “Is a Wave Election Forming for Democrats? — Democrats are increasingly bullish about the prospect of a wave election in 2018 amid backlash against the House Republicans for repealing Obamacare.” And, of course, all the mess with Trump. Now, it’s true to say, is it not, that practically every election the Democrats think that they’re gonna win it in a landslide?

The stakes will be even higher in two upcoming special elections for the U.S. House of Representatives. Democrat Rob Quist is hoping for an upset win over Republican Greg Gianforte in a race for Montana’s sole house seat later this week, while in Georgia, Republican Karen Handel aims to keep her district red in a race against Democrat Jon Ossoff next month.

Republicans Becoming More Worried About Montana Congressional Race

But some are questioning whether Trump’s decreasing popularity amid the ongoing investigation into links between his campaign and Russian officials could affect the election.

In a recent story about Gianforte’s campaign strategy, the New York Times wrote, “And voting day, which is May 25, will be watched nationally for any signs that Mr. Trump, his tactics, or his style of politics are wearing thin with voters who overwhelmingly supported him in November.”

Questions Continue to Swell: No Record That Rob Quist Registered for Selective Service Says National Archives

The Montana Democrat turned 18 during Vietnam War, opposed it as a college student.

It is unlikely that Quist would have been able to acquire a medical deferment as he played basketball at the University of Montana. He would have been eligible for a student deferment as a college student, though he dropped out after starting a band.

Quist’s Republican opponent Greg Gianforte registered with the Selective Service System in 1980, according to records viewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

Dem IT aides suspected of major security breach escape to Pakistan

Democrat IT specialists are accused of stealing equipment from members’ offices without their knowledge and committing serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network.

Many of the Democrats who employed the Awans are members of the House Committee on Homeland Security, the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

They had access to members’ emails and confidential files. In addition, one was given the password for an iPad used by then-Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Florida Democrat.

The five came to the U.S. from Pakistan and have fled there to avoid prosecution.

Dem Rep Paid Sister’s Law Firm Nearly $30,000 in First Quarter

Democrat Rep. William Lacy Clay’s campaign committee paid out $47,000 in the first quarter of 2017.  Nearly 60% of this money  went to his sister.  Since 2002, she has received more than $800,000 from his campaign, which also made payments to Clay’s father’s scholarship fund.

Hoyer Called Out for Accusing Trump of Cutting Funding for Medical Research

[CtH; I have often wondered that too.  Wikipedia says Steny is a variant of his Danish father’s name, “Steen.”  A baby name site says Steen is a Nordic first name.]

Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comey

If you remember this from all the way back in 1959, you’re REALLY showing your age.

This play on words comes from the dark recesses of my mind, which is a very dangerous place to be.

Trump mocks Comey backlash: President accuses Cryin’ Chuck Schumer of hypocrisy after Senate minority leader claims firing of FBI director has ‘shattered’ the criminal justice system
Donald Trump defended his firing of James Comey in a tweet Tuesday night
Said ‘Cryin’ Chuck Schumer’ was acting indignant for saying that he’d told the President that firing Comey was a ‘very big mistake’
Donald Trump fired FBI director James Comey in a letter that read: ‘You are hereby terminated and removed from office immediately’
Comey found out on live TV screens in Los Angeles that he was being fired but thought it was a joke until he was briefed by his staff
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote formal memo saying they had no confidence in him
Trump used letter dismissing Comey to say: ‘I greatly appreciate you informing me, in three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation’
Democrats piled on by comparing Trump to Richard Nixon who fired top justice officials in the Saturday Night Massacre but Clinton aide said: ‘No comment.’
New acting FBI director is Andrew McCabe – and he too is caught in the toxic impact of Clinton as his politician wife got cash from a Hillary ally

This puts Hillary in a quandary; she’s pissed and moaned for 6 months about Comey costing her her rightful destiny. Now that Trump has fired him she has to defend him. This, of course, smacks of rank hypocrisy but we’ve come to expect nothing less from one of the richest criminal enterprises in the course of this nation.

Comey’s Temporary Replacement Has Strong Ties To A Clinton Ally
McCabe was previously the deputy FBI director and following President Trump’s dismissal of James Comey, he will be in charge of the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency. The White House said Tuesday that the search for a new FBI director will begin immediately.

Until the administration finds this director, a man strongly connected to the Democratic Party will be in charge. The Democratic Virginia governor’s PAC donated $467,500 to McCabe’s wife Jill McCabe’s 2015 state Senate campaign. The Virginia Democratic Party also spent a little over $200,000 on the campaign.

The now-acting FBI director’s wife lost the campaign to the Republican incumbent. After the Wall Street Journal reported these findings, then-candidate Trump said, “We’ve never had a thing like this in the history of this country.”

10 Major FBI Scandals on Comey’s Watch

The FBI interviewed almost every terrorist who successfully struck America
Comey will inevitably be remembered for the controversial role he played in the 2016 presidential election, where his agency conducted surveillance of the Trump campaign as well as investigated the Clinton camp for mishandling classified materials, giving both sides arguments for how the FBI ultimately swayed the vote.

But even before the 2016 campaign, the FBI endured a number of humiliations under Comey’s tenure. Most damning were revelations that the FBI was generally aware of almost every terrorist who successfully struck America over the last eight years.

‘Mistake’: The White House put out a dossier which consisted of anti-Comey statements from Democrats including Senator Chuck Schumer – but Schumer said the president needed to now appoint a special prosecutor to look into the claims of collusion with the Russians.

The democrats have used Comey as their scapegoat for the chaos in their party, saying his investigating, dropping, then resuming the search of Hillary’s e-mails is what cost them the White house. Now they must pivot to claim he was fired because he was about to indict somebody in the Trump-Russia election tampering case.Anybody with a functional brain knows this never happened, which leaves out the democrat electorate. They just swallow the liberal horseshit whole.

Liberals are predictably having the vapors over the dismissal of a man who had no business being there in the first place.
The dems’ best friend, Juan McAmnesty, sided with them, along with Linda Graham who claims everyone was aware of the Russian collusion.

Democrats Go WILD! Conspiracies, Condemnation, and Vitriol Over Comey Firing
Democrats were quick to ascribe blame to Comey when it had to do with Clinton’s losing of the Presidential election. Now that President Trump has fired him, Democrats are inversely hot to call this an “abuse of power”.
Take a look at the leftstream media’s condemnation of Comey:

Brian Williams: Comey Firing “May Become Known as the Tuesday Afternoon Massacre”
MSNBC has wasted no time in drawing parallels between Watergate/Richard Nixon and President Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.

Hosting the network’s special coverage this afternoon, Brian Williams said the firing “may become known as the Tuesday Afternoon Massacre” at the FBI.

Rolled Again

Did I miss something? Did we win anything last November? You wouldn’t know it by the mugging republicans took at the hands of their pals the democrats during the budget fiasco that was just passed. Democrats get their way nearly all the time no matter who has the majority. They have discovered, much to their delight, that there is virtually nothing the GOP is willing to fight for. They have been terrified of the specter of a government shutdown since the former president, Ben T. Penis, got Newt Gingrich to back down over a staged government shutdown that was pre-arranged to lay the blame on republicans. They know that the press will blame them 100%, all of the time.
The republican elite have proven time and again they care less about working with President Trump than about keeping their status among the DC party crowd. It leaves conservatives all across the country asking themselves: “What have we won?”

Paul Ryan and House Republicans included strict language in their trillion dollar budget that prevents any and all funding of President Trump’s border wall.

Paul Ryan’s new budget bill will fund:
** Planned Parenthood
** Central American illegal immigrant centers
** Domestic spending will increase
** No cuts in funding to EPA despite Trump’s promises
** Continue payment on Obamacare subsidies
** No funding cuts to sanctuary cities

But the House budget includes language that FORBIDS the President of the United States of building a border wall with Mexico.

Paul Ryan’s bill is so bad Democrats are fundraising off of the plan in celebration.

Frustrated conservatives ready to start winning under Trump
The spending deal struck over the weekend to avoid a partial government shutdown is just the latest failure of GOP-controlled Washington to deliver for conservative activists. To them, that bill is part of a larger pattern of putting off fights with the Democrats for another day only for tomorrow to never come — a trend they were already experiencing with run-of-the-mill Republicans, but one they hoped would end under Trump.

Conservatives Fume Over Complete Concession To Democrats On Budget Deal

How do we win Congress and Presidency and still get this as a result?
Conservatives are blasting the five-month, fiscal 2017 spending deal written by Republicans and Democrats as nothing short of a “cave in” by the GOP despite its control of both the House, Senate and White House.

The Gentlemen Losers Strike Again
And this spending bill is the same kind of crapola Congress sent to Obama year after year.
Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are getting everything they wanted.
Meanwhile the Gentlemen Losers — Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell — get one more opportunity to prove that they really are nice guys who want to work with the Democrats.
Good grief. It’s infuriating.
But this pile of crap is just more of the same.
And isn’t this exactly why Americans voted for Donald Trump?
We’re sick and tired of this nonsense.

Speaker Paul Ryan Defends Pile of Crap Budget Plan that Excludes Funding for Trump Wall
Ryan defended his 1,665 pages long budget that includes an average of approximately 210 words per page — —or about twice as long as the stimulus law (the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act”) that President Barack Obama signed less than a month after his inauguration in 2009.
Ryan and GOP leaders inserted language that specifically restricts any and all funding of the Trump border wall.

We didn’t elect Donald Trump just to have Paul Ryan put on Nancy Pelosi’s skirt and pearls and deliver for the Democrats.

Chuck Schumer: Trump ‘Did Not Play Much of a Role’ in Budget Negotiations
“Our Republican colleagues I give them a lot of credit — Mitch McConnell — we worked very well together — Leader Pelosi, Speaker Ryan as well,” Schumer said, adding the names of the Democrats and Republicans in both chambers responsible for leading on appropriations.
“We all worked as a team,” Schumer said. “And we came up with a very good solution for the people here.
“But it shows we Democrats want to work with our Republican colleagues,” Schumer said. “And when they work with us, it’s great.”

White House Pushes Budget Deal As A Win For Republicans After Democrats Get Under Trump’s Skin
Congressional leaders reached an agreement Sunday night on a budget that would keep the government open through September and avoid a looming shutdown. Because the bill includes funding for Planned Parenthood, money to help Puerto Rico with a projected shortfall in Medicaid and restricts the allotted $1.5 billion for border security from going to the new wall, Democrats began touting it as a win.
Clearly, it frustrated President Trump.

Democrats confident they can block Trump’s agenda after spending bill win

Democrats think they have set the stage to block President Trump’s legislative priorities for years to come by winning major concessions in a spending bill to keep the government open.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) secured nearly $5 billion in new domestic spending by exploiting disagreements between Trump and GOP lawmakers over spending priorities.

Limbaugh grills Pence on budget: ‘What is the point of voting Republican?’

Host to VP: ‘We’ve been told this for 15 years, we’ll get ‘em next time’
Radio host Rush Limbaugh received a call from Vice President Mike Pence on Tuesday, and he wasn’t shy about voicing his displeasure over the 2017 budget deal.
“The Rush Limbaugh Show” rarely has guests, but a $1.2 trillion federal spending deal made between Republicans and Democrats to avoid a government shutdown prompted an interview with Mr. Pence.
The theme of the exchange boiled down to one question: “If this is what happens, Mr. Vice President, why vote Republican?”
“What is the point of voting Republican if the Democrats are gonna continue to win practically 95 percent of their objectives, such as in this last budget deal?” the conservative host asked.
Limbaugh to Pence: What Is the Point of Voting Republican If the Dems Are Going to Continue to Win?

There is a last ditch effort to pass a new health care bill coming. It stands not a snowball’s chance in hell of passing. The entire fiasco was orchestrated by Paul Ryan to ensure enough poison pills in it for conservatives to vote against it. The democrats know Obamacare will never go away. No government program ever does. They just suck up more and more money. As professional spenders, the liberals know once you give people something free (or at least free to THEM), it can never be taken away without a rebellion. It would not be a bit surprising if Trump decided since his own party won’t deal with him he may go to the democrats to negotiate. After all, they’re still the real power in Washington.

Obamacare Repeal Stalled by Moderate Republican Opposition
Congressman Billy Long (R-MS), a strong House leadership ally, said that he would not support the bill over concerns that the bill “strips away any guarantee that pre-existing conditions would be covered and affordable.” Long said in an interview on Monday, “They got 40 Freedom Caucus votes,” asking, “Why do they need me?”
Fred Upton, the former Energy and Commerce Committee chairman, said Tuesday he will not vote for the Obamacare repeal bill. He said, “I’ve supported the practice of not allowing pre-existing illnesses to be discriminated against from the very get-go.” Upton told WHTC this morning. “This amendment torpedos that, and I told leadership I cannot support this bill with this provision in it.”

Delusional Democrats

Dem Tourettes by Terrell

Sen. Schumer said on ABC’s “This Week” that Democrats are willing to work with Republicans, as long as Republicans do what Democrats want.  Clearly, they learned NOTHING from the trouncing they got in the last 4 elections.

Seriously, Chuck?

2017_03 26 Seriously Chuck

There’s also this from Chris Conover at Forbes on Aug 28, 2013:

It’s arguably the favorite myth of progressives, the oft-repeated claim that Republicans have no health plan. Hence, President Obama was fully justified in ignoring them and proceeding to enact a comprehensive health reform law on a strict party line vote—something completely unprecedented in American political history.

Democrats blocking Trump confirmations

DEM It's not fascism when we do it

Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democrats are stalling confirmation of not just Trump’s top cabinet picks, but also his choices for the 1,987 vacancies further down the food chain within the administration.

Their underlying goal is to allow remaining Obama-appointed bureaucrats to do as much damage to the Trump administration as they can before leaving.
