Today the church is a church of martyrs

How many Stephens there are in the world these days. We think of our brothers whose throats were slit on the beach in Libya; we think of that young boy burned alive by his fellow citizens because he was Christian; we think about those migrants who were thrown into the high seas by others, and many others whom we don’t know about, who suffer in prisons because they are Christians. Today the church is a church of martyrs.” – Pope Francis, April 21, 2015

2015_04 Pope Francis - martyrs

“[Stephen], filled with the holy Spirit, looked up intently to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” But they cried out in a loud voice, covered their ears, and rushed upon him together. They threw him out of the city, and began to stone him. The witnesses laid down their cloaks at the feet of a young man named Saul. As they were stoning Stephen, he called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell to his knees and cried out in a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them”; and when he said this, he fell asleep. – Acts 7:55-60

Obama-Backed Muslim Ex-Dictator Wins in Nigeria

As another Christian leader falls in Africa, thanks very much to the efforts of the Obama Administration and the American taxpayer, willing or not, Boko Haram is celebrating in Nigeria today. That’s because their preferred candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari is now President, and they have very little to worry about.

The truth is, Boko Haram had very little to worry about before the election. Recently, former U.S. Congressman Steve Stockman, who was in Nigeria last summer investigating Boko Haram, confirmed that the U.S. military was prepared to give the government of Christian former-President Goodluck Jonathan intelligence that would have allowed it to crush the terrorist group. This was blocked by the Obama State Department using the excuse that they were holding out for concessions in Nigeria’s position on same-sex marriage. Stockman admits that this makes little sense, because the opposition Muslim candidate, General Buhari, now in power, would be considerably less likely to liberalize laws on any gay-rights issues.

In summary, our U.S. State Department, under the leadership of Barack Obama and SecState John Kerry, so badly wanted the next President of Nigeria to be a 72-year-old Muslim ex-dictator, that they were willing to risk it being known that they intentionally failed to help fight Boko Haram during the height of their brutal reign of terror in that country. This means that they decided not to rescue hundreds of kidnapped schoolgirls married off and converted to Islam against their will. They decided not to help stop the slaughter of thousands of Christian martyrs who refused to convert. They decided to purposely weaken the only leader who had a chance of opposing Boko Haram in the future, and they elected to provide an embarrassingly absurd lie about why they chose to do so.

Why did they do this? What motivated our own leadership to behave in this catastrophic, reckless way? If anyone knows, they’re not telling. But it’s certainly unfortunate for all Christians in Africa that they succeeded this time.

UPDATE: Obama refused to help #BringBackOurGirls

2015_03 31 Stockman confirms BHO refused to help fight BokoHaram

2014_05 Boko Haram - war on Christianity and democracy

Other statements from Boko Haram leader:

I am the one that captured your girls and I will sell them in the market. … Any infidel is a sheep to be sold. … Prophet Muhammed took slaves himself.

I will not follow anyone except Allah; I will not model anyone except Prophet. … Even if you kill me, other fighters will rise better than me; I am nothing and worthless before God who I am working for. That is Islam.

May Allah help us to do what is in Qur’an. … This is a war against Christians and democracy. … I am against government of the people by the people. I am for government of the people by Allah.

So Obama refused to help Nigeria fight Boko Haram and rescue 300 black girls from slavery, because Nigeria’s laws aren’t friendly to homosexuals?

Yup … or so he says.

Obama’s foreign policy actually makes perfect sense once you recognize that his real agenda has always been to advance the rise to global rule of the apocalyptic Muslim “messiah”, the Imam Mahdi.

Please, listen to these videos all the way through. They are BOTH really important.

Obama Treason Offense #371 is So Demonic I Can’t Write the Headline

All I can do with this one is point you to NiceDeb’s excellent article yesterday on the REAL reason President Obama has not been helping the Nigerian government of Christian President Goodluck Jonathon to fight Boko Haram. I’ll give you the money lines from her article:

What do you suppose has been behind the Obama Regime’s abject refusal to help this ally fight terrorists?

Would you believe that there’s a presidential election coming up in Nigeria, and Obama’s favored Muslim candidate is in a tight race against the Christian President Goodluck Jonathan?

And would you further believe that a political consulting group founded by Obama confidante David Axelrod is assisting that candidate – Retired Gen. Muhammadu Buhari – who hails from Muslim-dominated northern Nigeria from whence Boko Haram was spawned?

That’s right. Obama is using your tax dollars to influence yet another election to benefit muslim activist control, this time in Africa. In doing so, he’s profoundly HELPING Boko Haram and contributing to the abduction, forced conversions and deaths of thousands of African Christian children. How do you feel about that?

Hashtag diplomacy

WEEKS after a Nigerian activist launched the #BringBackOurGirls campaign that helped get journalists interested in the terrorist kidnapping of 276 Nigerian schoolgirls, FLOTUS used her massive personal influence to further the cause of rescuing the girls before their savage kidnappers sell them into slavery.

She sent a tweet.

2014_05 07 Michelle hashtagBringBackOurGirls

Via Twitchy:

  • Your husband is President and a hashtag on twitter is the best you can do?!?
  • Changing the world. Failure.
  • Yeah, that hashtag is literally the least you can do.
  • There’s something peculiarly end of civilization about the First Lady’s tweet.
  • Surely a hashtag will tug at Boko Haram’s heartstrings, right?
  • Especially when it’s got a real serious looking FLOTUS selfie HOLDING a hand written sign!
  • Hashtag Foreign Policy. Take it to Twitter. That will show ’em.
  • Michelle’s tweet further proves that action is not as important as “feeling” for the left.
  • Modern liberalism, at its core, is an ideology of talking, not doing.
  • Yup. Someone “calls on government” to do something and the world gets fixed. It’s that easy!
  • Hashtag activism may be the the ultimate example of completely pointless self-satisfaction.
  • They don’t *actually* care. They do it to inflate themselves. It is the emptiest of empty gestures.

Hillary Clinton … whose husband refused to go after Osama bin Laden … weighed in with her own self-aggrandizing and nonsensical tweet that suggested somewhere in the world there exists a conscionable reason to target innocent girls.

2014_05 04 Hillary Clinton tweet bringbackourgirls

Please note Clinton’s tweet was THREE DAYS before Mooch got around to hers. But then, Mooch included a selfie and a hand-written sign, so undoubtedly took  lots more time and thought. Or something.

Via Mark Steyn:

“Just as the last floppo hashtag, #WeStandWithUkraine, didn’t actually involve standing with Ukraine, so #BringBackOurGirls doesn’t require bringing back our girls. There are only a half-dozen special forces around the planet capable of doing that without getting most or all of the hostages killed: the British, the French, the Americans, Israelis, Germans, Aussies, maybe a couple of others. So, unless something of that nature is being lined up, those schoolgirls are headed into slavery, and the wretched pleading passivity of Mrs Obama’s hashtag is just a form of moral preening.”

Last October, Steyn reported another Boko Haram atrocity:

“The other day, members of Boko Haram, a group of (surprise!) Muslim ‘extremists’, broke into an agricultural college in Nigeria and killed some four dozen students. The dead were themselves mainly Muslim, but had made the fatal mistake of attending a non-Islamic school. ‘Boko Haram’ means more or less ‘Learning is sinful.'”

Yeah. Cuz you know what terrorists respond to? Smoking holes where their buddies used to be. Not hashtags.
