2020: Not-President-Elect Joe Biden is taking calls with foreign leaders. ::coughMikeFlynncough::
2000: On Election Day, November 7, 2000, the networks called that election’s key swing state of Florida for Gore, then for Bush, then said it was too close to call. Gore conceded, then rescinded his concession. For the next 36 days, there were multiple legal challenges and stops and starts to the recount.
Officials conducted an electronic recount, in which ballots were re-fed into the same machines, but Gore asked for a hand recount. The Florida Supreme Court ordered a recount of undervotes in all of Florida’s 67 counties, which was quickly appealed by Bush, and the case headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
The court voted 7-2 that the Florida recount, as it was being conducted, was unconstitutional on the grounds that there were no clear standards that were being applied consistently to all ballots. Then, the court voted 5-4 (along ideological lines) that time had run out to devise a remedy, which stopped the count with Bush ahead. About 80 percent of poll respondents told Gallup that they accepted the results as legitimate.
The whole thing dragged on for five weeks. Trump has only been challenging the outcome for a week and a half.
ABUSE: I saw this graphic on FB with “The Left is akin to an abusive spouse who blames their victim for the terror they dish out. It’s truly repulsive.”
ARIZONA: The race in Arizona is very tight and will likely go to a recount.
President Trump’s campaign filed a lawsuit in Arizona this week demanding a hand count of ballots it says were incorrectly counted.
FOX NEWS: CLICK https://twitter.com/ScottAnthonyUSA/status/1325839471800160256 [:45] to see the clip. They run it twice just so you can fully savor the Leftist witch’s sneering disregard for the Constitution.
Under Roger Ailes, Fox News was reliably conservative. But now the network is run by his Leftie son, Lachlan, who has swampy NeverTrumping Paul Ryan on his Board. Within a week of the election, Fox went from trouncing CNN and MSNBC in the ratings, to trailing them both. Meanwhile, formerly loyal Fox viewers have switched to OAN and NewsMax.
STOP THE STEAL: [10:04] – L. Lin Wood, the lawyer who successfully represented teen Nicholas Sandmann in a defamation suit against The Washington Post and CNN, has joined the president’s efforts to challenge attempts by Democrats and the media to steal the election for Joe Biden.
“This country is under attack. This was nothing more than a revolution. They’re trying to take away your rights. They’re trying to take away your Constitution. They’re trying to take away ultimately your freedom. Don’t let them do it. Donald Trump is for the people that’s why the people voted for him.”
GRAMMY NOTES: Mama passed this on from one of the Mascot’s teachers – “I am not in the military, but the next best job is teach the kids of people who are!”
