Bits & Bytes

2020: President Trump’s final debate performance inspired a record fundraising haul from supporters … more than $26 million. A surge in online donations also occurred prior to election day in 2016, but this one is triple the size and a week earlier.

60 MINUTES: [37:51] – President Donald Trump has released the full length recording of his interview with 60 Minutes journalist Lesley Stahl in order to prove it was disgraceful.

She says, “I’m not going to fact check you,” but she also keeps telling Trump “No, no.” Biden can lie his face off and jerknalists just nod and smile. Example: Trump says, “He’s in the midst of a scandal,” and she says, “No, no.”

He says states should “open up carefully,” then she bleats, “You don’t say ‘carefully’!” Uhhh … he JUST DID.

BACK THE BLUE: [:30] – Cops are awesome!

CALIFORNIA: San Francisco [1:12] – Burglary is up burglary is up 53% in Nancy Pelosi’s “leftest of the left” city. The net result is not pretty.

CHAZ/CHOP: CLICK https://www.facebook.com/aklavan/videos/670555263888804 [5:30] to see funniest home videos from the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone which is now, literally, “utopia” (which means, literally, “no place”).

CLEAN AIR: Trump’s EPA has been focused on enforcement and compliance and it is paying off. Since 2017, criteria air pollutant emissions have fallen 7 percent, making our current air quality the best it’s been since modern record keeping began

COVID-19: The Food and Drug Administration has approved the antiviral drug known as remdesivir for treatment of the novel coronavirus. The drug, sold under the name Veklury, will be used for hospitalized COVID-19 patients. It is the first coronavirus disease treatment to receive FDA approval.

DISHWASHERS: [2:29] – The Trump administration has finalized plans to release a new rule allowing one class of dishwashers to clean a load in less than an hour. The actual regulatory text will be posted in the Federal Register by the Department of Energy in two weeks.

“President Trump has once again made good on his promise to free Americans from ludicrous government regulations—this time bringing a commonsense reform to dishwashers,” Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought said in a public statement.

EARLY VOTER REGRET: On October 23, the number of people googling for information on how to change their votes skyrocketed.

FACEBOOK: Protecting our delicate princess eyes from inconvenient (to Democrats) truths again.

The upside of this is that people who would not normally paid any attention to that post have definitely clicked to see the image! LOL

FOSSIL FUELS: CLICK https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1319491234042269696 [:50] to hear all the times Joe said he absolutely opposes all forms of fossil fuel – coal, oil, and fracking.

If Joe eliminates oil, maybe we can go back to slaughtering whales. I hear their oil makes good lubricant.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING: In 2018 alone, more than 23,000 human trafficking victims were identified in the United States. Of these victims, 65% were women. More than 1 in 5 were children.

Rather than dismantle law enforcement agencies, as the far left demands, President Trump has doubled funding for the Department of Justice to combat human trafficking, signed the largest DOJ grant package in history to stop trafficking (which includes grants to provide safe housing for survivors), and signed nine pieces of bipartisan legislation that target human traffickers, both domestically and internationally.

On Oct. 20, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the opening of its Washington-based Center for Countering Human Trafficking, calling it the first operations center of its kind supporting federal criminal investigations in the United States.

The initiative is part of a government commitment to combat human trafficking, an issue that President Donald Trump has made a hallmark of his administration.

KENTUCKY: Unlike King County Library System in Washington (see below), the University of Kentucky decided that “separate but equal” didn’t go nearly far enough to deal with the systemic racism that is literally bred into the very DNA of white people.

UK’s Resident Assistant training included sessions where RA trainees were separated by skin color.

People of Pallor were directed to the White Accountability Space were provided with “materials” that included a list of 41 ways in which they are awful.

People who self-identify as being “of color” went to the Healing Space for Staff of Color where they could do what they pleased, minus any helpful “materials.”

NOT HITLER: For years, they told us Trump is literally Hitler, that his Big Goal was to become the fascist Dictator of America, like his hero Adolf.

Except he never did any such thing, not even when “under immense pressure by the media and other Democratic operatives, at a time when nearly all global leaders were using the pandemic as an excuse to seize greater control, Trump did not.” -Mollie Hemingway, The Federalist.

NPR: The biggest scandal in American history … OR … not really a story?

PEACE: Folks remarked how Joe Biden did manage to get through Thursday’s debate without losing his toons and spewing word salad. I’d like to point out that he took all of Monday through Thursday off to “prepare for the debate.” (And rest up.)

Meanwhile, Trump spent all of Monday through Thursday preparing for the debate, flying out to campaign rallies, giving interviews, doing his usual presidential duties … and brokering yet another peace deal to help keep Israel safe.

On October 23, 2020, Israel and Sudan agreed to make peace and to normalize their relations in another landmark agreement brokered by President Trump.

In the coming weeks, the two countries will begin negotiations on cooperation agreements in agriculture, economy, trade, aviation, migration issues, and other areas of mutual benefit.

This historic peace agreement follows similar agreements between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain.

TENNESSEE: Amy Coney Barrett was graduated magna cum laude Rhodes College in 1994. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree and was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa sorority and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. In her graduating class, she was named most outstanding English department graduate

More than 1,500 alumni of Rhodes signed a “letter of concern” stating that they are “firmly and passionately opposed to Rhodes administrators’ attempts to embrace Amy Coney Barrett as an alumna of our beloved alma mater.”

Rhodes is a small, private institution in Tennessee with historical ties to the Presbyterian Church. The signees included alumni who graduated as far back as 1959.

TEXAS: Sweetwater – The Executive Director of a Sweetwater museum has resigned, three days after posting the above. Good riddance.

WALK AWAY: Today’s excerpt is a song written and performed by a couple to document their journey. CLICK https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3298484236903572 [3:35]. This is worth watching, not just listening. Lyrics –

VS 1: You had me back then, oh sister suffragette
Trade happy lives for nine to fives and empty nests
How I was misled by those well intentioned souls
And starry-eyed, I joined the fight to wake up alone

CHORUS: Shoulder to shoulder, into the fray
Beautiful soldier, the price you paid
They speak of love, but all they love is hate
That’s why I’m walking away

VS 2: Cast off your shackles, yet still under lock and key
Once strong and proud, debased now on EBT
Gone are the gospels, families scattered all around
This victimhood’s the bait and hook, it’s the hand holding you down

CHORUS: (change “Beautiful soldier” to “Buffalo soldier”)

VS 3: They changed the meanings, stole the truth right from our minds
No questioning the doublethink, no wrong or right
Lost our direction, we are weapons in their war
Like Babylon, like Ancient Rome, forsaken we will fall

CHORUS.

FINAL CHORUS: Shoulder to shoulder, into the fray
History shows us the price we’ll pay
They speak of love, but all they love is hate
That’s why I’m walking away

WASHINGTON: The King County Library System in Washington State decided that the only way to end racism was by returning to the old “separate but equal” thing we abandoned decades ago because it was racist.

King County is named after Martin Luther King, Jr. ::smh::

WOLVES: [4:33] – The fascinating story of what happened after wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone Park.
