COVID-19: [4:52] – World-wide update.

2020_08 07 Voting and virus

MAIL IN VOTING: David Catron at Spectator has an interesting analysis of the Democrats’ desire to eliminate in person voting.

His conclusion is that it is likely to hurt Biden the most.

Worth reading in full.

SPYGATE: [5:49] – Obama’s Deputy Attorney General, Sally Yates, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday and it looks like former FBI Director James Comey has been designated as the Spygate fall guy.

Sen. Lindsey Graham: “Did Comey go rogue?

Sally Yates: “Yes.”

I’m guessing Dems would lurve it if Comey could just fall on his sword and that would be that. But I’m not seeing Trump or Barr or Graham or Nunes letting this thing drop any time soon.

2020_08 07 Star spangled over Portland by terrell

RIOTS: Yet another riot broke out in Portland late Tuesday as a mob vandalized, broke into, and set fire to a police union building.

Portland police officers in the area told them to stop over loudspeaker, but the group ignored them.

The mob attacked a woman wearing an American flag as a cape when she tried putting out a fire they started next to the building.

RIOTS: CLICK [3:00] to hear Sen. Rand Paul expose the inconvenient truth that it is the Black communities that are suffering the most from the Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots that Democrats refuse to police.

2020_08 07 defund

DEFUND POLICE: A trucking company has decided they will no longer deliver to areas that are calling on a defunding of the police.

The owner cites driver safety as the first priority, but also concern for protecting the valuable cargo their clients entrust them with.

So now the inner city, largely minority communities will not only have no nearby stores to shop at, because rioters burned them all to the ground, but also the more distant stores will have trouble getting supplies delivered.

Congratulations, Democrats and rioters. Way to show everyone how much you care.

2020_08 07 NYT no bias ha

MEDIA MALPRACTICE: A recent Gallup poll showed –

92% of us say it is “critical/very important” for the news media to be accurate and fair.

86% of us say the media is to blame for the sharp political division in this country.

79% of us say the news media tries to persuade people to adopt a certain viewpoint.

73% of us say news media bias is a major problem.

A recent study of more than 2,000 Washington, D.C.’s political journalists found that they lock themselves into “microbubbles” where they primarily talk only to others who share their viewpoints.

The largest grouping – dubbed the “elite/legacy” cluster – was the most insular of the identified groupings.

These reporters, who include some of the most well-known reporters who work for major publications like CNN, NBC News, NPR, the Washington Post, and the New York Times – primarily interact only with one another.

This goes a long way toward understanding why the Slime Stream Media use identical buzz words and talking points on the exact same days.

2020_08 07 No contrary facts

MEDIA MALPRACTICE: The police body cam videos largely exonerate the cops who have been charged with murdering George Floyd.

CBS and NBC aired highly-edited soundbites that greatly reduced their impact.

ABC’s World News Tonight skipped them entirely.

2020_08 07 Ariana

MEDIA BIAS: Ariana Pekary, an MSNBC producer for Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell has quit her job and posted a harshly critical open letter on her personal website condemning the divisive propaganda the station forces journalists to spew.

Excerpts: “This cancer risks human lives, even in the middle of a pandemic. The primary focus quickly became what Donald Trump was doing (poorly) to address the crisis, rather than the science itself. As new details have become available about antibodies, a vaccine, or how COVID actually spreads, producers still want to focus on the politics. Important facts or studies get buried. …

I understand that the journalistic process is largely subjective and any group of individuals may justify a different set of priorities on any given day. Therefore, it’s particularly notable to me, for one, that nearly every rundown at the network basically is the same, hour after hour.

Pekary is the third major news industry figure to depart in a month over toxic media culture, following Bari Weiss and Andrew Sullivan.

2020_08 07 ed buck

DEMOCRATS: Democrat mega-donor, Ed Buck (65), faces life in prison without parole on multiple felony charges.

Buck is believed to have used social media to solicit men to come to his home for sex and drugs, then overdosed them, possibly because he gained sexual gratification from killing them. At least three men died there.

One of his victims wrote in his journal that Buck was “the one to thank” for his becoming addicted to drugs.

“He gave me my first injection of crystal meth, it was very painful, but after all the troubles, I became addicted. If it didn’t hurt so bad, I’d kill myself, but I’ll let Ed Buck do it for now.”

2020_08 07 traffic

SLAVERY: Yesterday, I posed a mostly rhetorical question about what Democrats have ever said or done about sex trafficking.

Today, I found one answer.

Children of the Immaculate Heart (CIH) is a religious charity in California that specializes in helping girls and women recover from the horrors of being sex trafficked. They have a refuge for adult women and money to open a second one for girls age 12–17.

But California’s “compassionate” Democrats were offended by the group’s Catholic identity. Before granting them a license to operate the refuge, they insisted that CIH agree to promote LGBT events, drive residents to get abortions, and support children in their care receiving trans hormones.

CIH said they couldn’t, because it would violate their religious beliefs, and turned to the courts. After three years, they finally have their permit. That’s three YEARS that young girls who have been used and abused have NOT had a safe place to heal and get their lives back.

Congratulations, Democrats. Way to show how anti-slavery you all are.

2020_08 07 Biden duct tape

BIDEN: CLICK [1:03] to see the latest Biden clip that’s been getting a lot of discussion. I’ve heard/read a bunch of different commentary about it. Personally, I  found his “Come on, MAN” really, really annoying.

A CNN political analyst said Joe Biden shouldn’t debate President Trump, because Trump “will take the truth and destroy it, and Biden will be in the position of correcting him over and over and over again. I don’t think he should give him that platform.”

Yeah. I’m so sure that’s the reason. It couldn’t possibly be because Biden would spend the debate dribbling on himself and saying nonsense like this.

CLICK [:13] to hear Biden say, “By the way, what you all know but most people don’t know, unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.”

2020_08 07 Michigan 3

2020: Rep. Justin Amash (I-MI-3) just lost the GOP primary to Republican Iraq War veteran Peter Meijer.

NeverTrumper Amash switched while in office from Republican to Independent and angered conservatives by siding with Democrats on numerous votes, including impeachment.

2020_08 07 Democrat Privilege

WALK AWAY: I’m the product of two hard-working immigrants from the Dominican Republic, who raised me to believe that Democrats were for the poor and Republicans were for the rich. It wasn’t until I was watching a (Hispanic network) with my mother one night where Trump was giving a speech and it was being translated to Spanish, I was shocked to see that what he was saying was not even close to what was being said in Spanish. Immediately, I turned to my mother and told her that they were not accurately translating what he was saying. Thereafter, I began listening to more of Trumps speeches watching Fox News and reading about republican policies. I began to see how much lies, hate and corruption the left stood for.

2A: [1:43] – The Second Amendment is there to protect all the rest.

IRAN: [6:40] – Iranian police complain they don’t have enough officers to adequately enforce hijab rules, something they call “social policing.”

Women who defy Iran’s hijab rules are threatened with rape, torture, and long prison sentences. Last August, Tehran’s Islamic court sentenced a 20-year-old women’s rights activist to 24 years, including 15 for “spreading prostitution by taking off her hijab.”

Even men who dare to speak out against the law can end up in jail.
