ECONOMIC RECOVERY: Economic indicators are ticking up. And Democrats are very sad.
A top former economic adviser to Obama says, “We are about to see the best economic data we’ve seen in the history of this country.
Left-wing site Politico reports this in an article called “The general election scenario that Democrats are dreading.”
“This is my big worry,” said a former Obama White House official who is still close to the former president. Asked about the level of concern among top party officials, he said, “It’s high — high, high, high, high.”
COVID-19: New scientific studies reveal that the Democrats’ jackboot coronavirus shut downs are not justified – A German virologist studied the spread of the disease in his country and found “infection didn’t come from supermarkets or butchers or restaurants. It came from long periods together in closed spaces.“
Several studies also show supermarkets pose relatively little risk, even for grocery workers who spend long hours working in them. In the U.S., a mere one-third of one percent of workers contracted the virus.
HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE: The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the country’s top body in the field, has found that consuming the drug hydroxychloroquine reduces the chances of getting infected with Covid-19 and is now expanding usage of the anti-malarial drug for this purpose.
OBAMAGATE: Until two days ago, Richard Grennell was the Acting Director of National Intelligence. During his brief tenure (February 20, 2020 – May 26, 2020), he declassified documents that blew the lid off the the Left’s attempts to destroy the Trump administration.
As one of his final moves as acting spy chief, Grenell wrote a letter to the Senate Intelligence Committee’s top Democrat defending his work against claims that he was the one selectively declassifying material to benefit President Trump and his allies politically.
Fox & Friends: [6:01] – Grenell has been replaced by John Ratcliffe, whose nomination was approved by the Senate on May 21, 2020.
SPYGATE: [4:43] – Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), the GOP ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, said Republicans have expanded their investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe and will be making criminal referrals against special counsel Robert Mueller’s team.
SESSIONS: Trump’s former attorney general, Jeff Sessions, is running for his old Alabama Senate seat. He will face off against former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville, who has received Trump’s endorsement.
THE CLINTON FOUNDATION: The Clinton Foundation has a web page dedicated to virus response. I have a jaundiced view of this scam organization, so maybe there’s more of substance there than I am willing to credit. But, to me, it looked like links to digital resources and bragging on what “our partners” are doing to help deliver meals.
It’s hard to know what “our partners” means. I mean … I donated $20 into the crowdfund for The Gosnell Movie, which technically makes me a co-producer or something equally absurd. And I once listened to a movie commentary by Tom Clancy. He was listed as an Executive Producer but his commentary was non-stop snark about all the mistakes that were in the movie. I thought it was clear he hadn’t actually worked on the film at all.
THE OBAMA FOUNDATION: The Obama Foundation’s stated goals include “connecting and strengthening communities, empowering leaders, and inspiring hope through storytelling.”
Call me crazy, but it sounds like a lot of hot air … which, come to think of it, makes perfect sense. This is the OBAMA foundation, after all
Here are the things they say they’ve done to continue their mission during the pandemic:
- Worked from home … like everyone else on the planet.
- Shared “uplifting stories we’ve seen from around the world” … like everybody else who has email or a Facebook account.
- ”Hosted virtual speaker trainings, webinars, and calls to help offer relevant expertise, while connecting people battling the outbreak on the frontlines to share best practices. President Obama has been a recurring and reassuring presence on several of these online gatherings.”
- “Sent meals to volunteers at the Southside Center for Hope, one of the longest running women’s shelters on Chicago’s South Side located in Woodlawn. The facility usually houses 30 women with their families, but due to COVID-19, the Center for Hope has taken in significantly more families, and we wanted to do our part to help them respond to the increased need.” … At first blush, it sounds like they sent extra food for all those extra mouths, but I’m pretty sure that the women and their families who are housed there are not the same people as the “volunteers” they send meals to. They don’t say how many meals of what kind were sent. It could’ve been nothing more than a couple of large pizzas. However, given the organization’s stated goals, that one act of practical charity is above and beyond.
The O Foundation’s “Our Response” page also notes that, “even in this environment, our plans to build the Obama Presidential Center on the South Side of Chicago continue to progress, and we look forward to the new gardens, paths, and play areas—as well as new jobs and investment—the Center will bring to our neighbors.”
Methinks that building the Obama Presidential Center to immortalize the Wizard of O may be the true function of the foundation, while the other padiddly business is just window dressing.
PAPER BALLOTS: In 2004, Democrat Jerry Nadler said paper ballots are very susceptible to fraud [1:08] – Republicans are suing California Gov. Gavin Newsom in federal court over his unprecedented unilateral order requiring that all registered voters be sent vote-by-mail ballots for the general and presidential elections.
Republican National Committee (RNC) chief Ronna McDaniel says Newsom’s “radical plan is a recipe for disaster that would create more opportunities for fraud & destroy the confidence Californians deserve to have in their elections.”
In West Virginia, a letter carrier has been charged with violating a federal statute that imposes criminal penalties for anyone who “attempts to deprive or defraud the residents of a State of a fair and impartially conducted election process.”
He says he altered ballots that were mailed from the towns where he does pick-up and delivery as a “joke.”
BIDEN: “If I’m president, charter schools are gone.” – Since charter schools are enormously popular with black families stuck in neighborhoods with crappy public schools, this is a racist position.
HERTZ SUCKS: Just days before filing for bankruptcy, the top executives paid themselves a total of $16.2 million in bonuses.
Last month, Hertz car rental company began laying off 2,500 of employees who are owed roughly $11 million in severance pay that they’re unlikely to get since the bankruptcy filing.
IOW, the people who led the company into failure got a big pay off, while the workers and creditors all got screwed.
ABORTION: On Wednesday, Sidewalk Advocates for Life announced they have helped their 70th abortion worker to leave the industry.
Please keep these individuals in your prayers as they seek healing from the trauma of working in an abortion facility and turn their lives over to Christ.
GRAMMY NOTES: Our family was excited to learn that the American founder of the Knights of Columbus is on his way to canonization. On May 26, 2020, Pope Francis approved a miracle attributed to the intercession of Father Michael McGivney.
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization. Army Prince is a member and I had an uncle who made it to the top level where he got to wear the cool outfit.
“The Knights of Columbus really integrated Catholics into civil society and into America as patriotic. They wanted society to understand that Catholics were just as patriotic and just as devoted to their country,” Ryan Scheel explains.
“They helped politicians understand that Catholics were their constituents, and that they were very patriotic, good, tax-paying, law-abiding citizens who would fight to the death to defend this country.
“One of the things that they did as part of this program was petition multiple politicians to get the words “under God” added to the Pledge of Allegiance.”
