CALUMNY: Lying about others in a way that damages reputations, causes others to make false judgments, and causes unjust injury.
By destroying the reputation and honor of one’s neighbor, those who commit calumny offend against the virtues of justice and charity.
DOBBS: Spygate report … worth watching [11:33] – Dobbs says a new report from the Senate Intelligence Committee says the opposite of a report by the House Intelligence Committee on the same subject.
So, did our federal intelligence agencies mess up big time or not? The House report says did; the new Senate committee report says didn’t.
BUT, the evidence says did, plus the Senate committee appears to be packed with NeverTrumpers.
House Intelligence Ranking Member Devin Nunes, R-CA, talks with Dobbs about the two reports and about how he believes the Democrats weaponized the Mueller Report and the Steele Dossier to take control of the House in 2018.
After you listen to this, please go back to the top and reread “Calumny.”
MEDIA MALPRACTICE: Speaking of calumny, TV talking heads are insisting that President Trump has blood on his hands.
“There is death after death after death that is on the President’s watch,” MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski slammed on her April 6 morning show. “How many people have to die?” CNN’s Don Lemon blasted that night. “More people are dead and dying in America tonight because Donald Trump is President,” host Lawrence O’Donnell asserted on MSNBC back on March 12. And on, and on, it goes.
What is actually happening is that Trump’s America is faring far, far better than other nations during this global pandemic.
Our per capita test rate is higher than any other nation; our per capita death rate is lower than any but Germany, Iran, and China (of which we maybe possibly can believe Germany’s numbers).
We’ve had total transparency, with daily briefings by POTUS and his Task Force; because of their efforts, no American who has needed a hospital bed or a ventilator has been denied one.
What else is actually happening is that lying Democrats and their lying shills in the Slime Stream Media are trying to use the same vicious tactics that allowed them to take the House in 2018.
If you didn’t listen to Rep. Nunes in the video above, go do that now. Then reread “Calumny.”
MEDIA MALPRACTICE: Joe Biden appeared for a softball, pillow-fluffing interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday night.
The interview ran for 24 minutes and 42 seconds without once mentioning the elephant in the room – i.e., that Biden’s former staffer, Tara Reade, has accused him of having pinned her to a wall in the Senate building, reached under her skirt, and penetrated her with his fingers.
Corden never brought up Reade’s accusation. Instead, he asked, “How are you, sir? Are you well?”
Also, “How frustrating is it for you as the presumptive nominee to be in quarantine in your basement on Zoom calls, while the President is getting to do these — we’re calling them press briefings?”
When Biden opined that Trump “doesn’t have a whole lot sense of empathy.” Corden jumped in with, “But you do. There are many differences between you and the current president of the United States. But empathy, I believe, is an important difference, and there will be families watching this who aren’t scared about next week, they’re scared about tomorrow. They’re scared about the day after that. And what would you say to them to calm their fears?”
That last bit makes me sick. Trump has said repeatedly at the Task Force briefings that he thinks part of his job is to keep our spirits up. Then the media condemns him for giving “false hope.” If he wasn’t trying to keep our spirits up, they’d be condemning him for NOT giving us hope.
JERRY SPRINGER: “The public is not being helped,” says the host of a vicious television show that polluted the public for years.
I never watched The Jerry Springer Show, but according to Wikipedia, “A typical episode of Springer began with a title card warning viewers that the show may contain graphic or mature content. Springer then entered the stage by sliding down a stripper pole.”
Apparently, Springer’s idea of television content that helps the public is to bring people together who have problems with each other, then aggravate those problems in hopes that they would get into a brawl.
The live studio audience was largely college age. In later seasons, men would “moon” the audience in hopes of getting a reward from Springer.
HARVARD: [1:09] – Supposedly they didn’t ask for the money and they’re not going to take it. Or they’re going to take it, then give it back. Or they already have it, but they’re going to give it back. I’m confused. Just yesterday, I read that they had it and were refusing to give it back.
VIRUS AID PACKAGES: MRCTV Reality Check [5:26] – In the midst of the coronavirus crisis, CNN is finding silver linings for the planet and AOC is praising the death of the oil industry as a chance to usher in her Green New Deal.
For liberals, the coronavirus is a shiny new opportunity to seize the only thing they’ve ever really wanted: control. And if millions of Americans have to suffer in the meantime, so be it.
A Washington Examiner editorial says, “Some believe that these temporary measures will empower the Left to advance a sweeping social welfare agenda. The problem for those seeking a dramatic expansion of government is that, once the dust settles on this crisis, there simply won’t be any money left for permanent expansions of government.
“If there is a silver lining to this disaster, it is that scarcity has a way of forcing sobriety. In the wake of the coronavirus, the nation will surely lose its appetite for dramatic new spending proposals on ever-growing liberal wish lists.”
GEORGIA: [1:54] – Most businesses in the Peach State will be allowed to reopen today, but will still have to follow some strict COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Trump said he thinks it’s too soon, but that the governor has to do what he thinks is right.
AOC: [1:03] – Far-left (read: clueless) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) says that when the U.S. economy reopens from the coronavirus shutdown, people should refuse to return to their jobs. She sneers that only in America does “liberation” mean going “back to work.”
“I think a lot of people should just say, ‘No, we’re not going back to that. We’re not going back to working 70-hour weeks just so that we can put food on the table and not feel any sort of semblance of security in our lives.”
Comment seen on Facebook: My 10 year old grandson asked me, “What is wrong with her?” He said, “She doesn’t make sense.” Even he knew something was off. – Lore Graham
What’s even worse is that she gets paid six figures for this kind of out-of-touch, moronic thinking and is continuing to get all her salary and benefits while she and her fellow Congress Critters are sitting on their butts, at home, eating gourmet ice cream instead of voting to increase fund to the PPP.
ABORTION: “I come from a religious background,” he said. “I’m an ordained minister. And I believe in compassion, and service above self. So that’s my calling. And I do abortion services — I no longer do primary care.”
And very, very sad. Jesus talked about people like this.
“But Lord, I killed babies in your name.”
“I never knew you.”
IRAN: US Navy Video [3:04] – On April 15, 2020, armed Iranian boats harassed U.S. military ships operating in international waters in the Persian Gulf.
Trump responded by instructing the United States Navy to DESTROY any and all Iranian gunboats if they do it again.
HORNET DETERRENT: Crocheters are such clever people. 🙂
If you don’t crochet, I’m thinking you could cover a balloon with papier-mâché and paint it.
