DEPRIVATION:One thing every Catholic should agree about regarding the suspension of public Masses in multiple dioceses across the globe: we now will experience the deprivation that our brethren in the Middle East and China experience on a daily basis. Unite your sufferings with theirs, and PRAY!” —Matthew Balan

HOW TO REDUCE TRANSMISSION OF THE VIRUS … actually, germs in general:  Keep your distance. Wash your hands. Don’t touch your eyes, nose, mouth.

BAGS and HANDSHAKES: [7:15] Kudos to Greg Gutfeld for pointing out that reusable grocery bags are a vector for disease. Hey, New York … give me back my plastic grocery bags! I am responsible about how I use mine. If you don’t like them littering the countryside, put some money into clean up efforts.

And also, heck yes, please ban the handshake. I had to give it up years ago because of arthritis. The last time I let anyone shake my hand, he used such a firm and manly grip, I almost sunk to my knees with the pain. The poor man was mortified.

As a culture, we need to find a new, sanitary, less painful greeting. Personally, I’d vote for the fist-in-palm gesture, which I believe carries the same ancient meaning – i.e., “I come in peace. My hand holds no weapon.” It would be ironic if we did adopt the fist in palm salute, since it originated in the same place as the Chinese Coronavirus.

MORE VIRUS NEWS: Bipartisan legislation passed March 18 has made tens of millions of N95 masks classified for industrial use now available to hospitals.

California and Illinois have imposed statewide “shelter in place” orders instructing citizens to stay home, with a few exceptions for essential workers, such as health care, grocery stores, gas stations, and pharmacies. Citizens would still be free to take walks.

At least 60 potential treatments for the virus are being investigated right now. Thankfully, none of them use pieces of aborted babies.

2020_03 22 schumer

SCHUMER: I am disgusted that this awful man and his lapdog, Kirsten Gillibrand, continue to be my state’s representatives in the U.S. Senate.

On the bright side, I am NOT represented by Nancy Pelosi in the House!

PRAISE: TDS  is being swamped by the reality of an existential crisis [3:25] – Democrats are slowly starting to acknowledge that President Trump and his administration are doing an awesome job. The far left governors of New York and California both heaped on praise and, in even more surprising news, CNN’s Dana Bash said, Trump is the “kind of leader that people need” and Rep. Ilhan Omar tweeted, “Politics aside, this is incredible and the right response in this critical time.”

Three separate polls show that Americans approve of the way President Trump is handling the coronavirus pandemic. Axios-Harris = 56%, ABC News = 55%, Emerson = 49%.

This week, one of President Trump’s most outspoken critics, Gov. Gavin Newsom of California, said this about the president and his team’s response to the cruise ship in Oakland: ‘Every single thing [Trump] said, they followed through on. Every single thing,’” Reps. Dr. Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Dr. Brian Babin (R-TX) write.

Also, the link won’t embed, but I heard on Fox that Chinese Coronavirus is hitting men twice as hard as women. The reasons appear to be the prevalence of pre-existing cardiovascular disease. Also, in two hard hit nations, China and Italy, smoking is much more prevalent among men.

Italy has a huge outbreak, but is also doing a piss poor job of handling it; their  mortality rate is truly terrible. This should be of interest to Democrats who think socialized medicine is the way to go. Italy’s National Health Service was created in 1978. In 2000, the WHO ranked it number two in the world. (France was number one.) Uhhhhhh…

CHICOMS: [:52] – Last fall, their government chose to suppress information about the existence of the virus. We’re all paying a heavy price, but none more than the Chinese people.

On March 19, the government claimed there were no new infections in the entire country. But the video above, dated March 21, shows they are sealing off areas they’d opened up. And in Wuhan, residents say they see long lines at hospitals and construction of more facilities to house sick people.

In the second video [1:48], the police who found two people dead in their apartment argue about how they cannot report these as coronavirus deaths. It gives me goosebumps to think how much of a risk it is to the people who take these videos, especially ones like this where the videographer could easily be identified by the others who were there.

Another Epoch Times report says a Chinese crematorium director complained of bodies arriving with cause of death labels saying, “Unidentified pneumonia.” He and his staff are frightened. “Do these bodies contain contagious viruses?… Our staff at the funeral home don’t have protective suits.”

The Epoch Times is doing a phenomenal job of reporting on conditions inside Communist China. They have a lot of videos that have been taken and leaked to the world at great risk. See them @ https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=epoch+times.

2020_03 22 Italy

ITALY: Why this country has such a bad outbreakMerchants can charge higher prices for clothing, shoes, handbags, and other fashion goods manufactured in Italy.

During the past three decades, more and more Chinese investors bought into textile and leather-good factories in northern Italy, but instead of hiring Italian workers, they brought Chinese laborers over to work in those factories.

By 2010, there were something like 60,000 Chinese in Prato, an industrial suburb of Florence. To accommodate Italy’s new foreign labor force, nonstop flights were established between China and Rome.

2020_03 22 protest

PROTEST CULTURE: Apparently, some group of “race warriors” have been occupying an admin building at Syracuse University to protest “systemic racism.”

I’m tempte to rewrite that sentence to say, “Some whiney college students have been skipping classes so they can smoke dope and have sex while feeling virtuous about striking a totally meaningless blow for something or other,” but that would be RAAACIST and un-safe-spacey, so I definitely won’t do that.

Now that SU has closed up and sent students home to finish the semester online, the “race warriors” say they plan to stay on, because “white supremacy at Syracuse University is an ongoing crisis that has not been adequately addressed.”

Or, possibly, they’re afraid to go home and face their parents who have sacrificed so much to give them the opportunity to earn a college degree.

Their statement dismisses coronavirus, except for the media coverage, which they denounce as “racist, xenophobic, and sinophobic.”

They also denounced as “unacceptable” the university’ offer of five new mental health counselors, $5 million for programs dedicated to students of color, and $5 million for needs-based scholarships. These things, they say, do not “begin to acknowledge or repair the white supremacy-based institutional violence the university enacts on people of color.”

I bet these brats would love them some Marvel SJW heroes.

2020_03 22 spring break

MORE IDIOT MILLENNIALS: The ChiComs, Left Stream Media, and Syracuse University whiners are not the only people behaving stupidly. Millennials are also flooding spring break destinations.

The attitude is, “If we get coronavirus, we get coronavirus.” Yeah, and maybe it won’t be much more than a bad cold for them, but what about their parents and grandparents they take it home to?

2020_03 22 sanctions

SANCTIONS: The State Department announced on Wednesday that we have imposed sanctions on nine Chinese companies that have been “engaging in a significant transaction for the purchase, acquisition, sale, transport, or marketing of petrochemical products from Iran.” Iran uses the money from selling its oil to finance terrorism.

2020_03 22 marvel

MARVEL COMICS: This is NOT a joke, although I expect the sales figures will be [4:35]Marvel Comics plans to seriously introduce a team of SJW teen superheroes.

The characters include twins named Snowflake and Safespace, plus Screentime, B-Negative, and one overweight female named Trailblazer.

And they are not mocking SJW culture. They’re trying to celebrate it.

Methinks this going to bomb. As of March 21 at 10 am, the “oh yay, look what’s coming” video at YouTube has 99,000 Dislikes.

ABORTION: [:37]In 2019, LifeNews.com recorded more than 100 reports of assault, vandalism, harassment and other incidents. This year, it’s gotten even worse. They’ve had abortion activists threaten violence, masturbate in front of them, throw glass and eggs, yell “Hail Satan”, steal from and vandalize pro-life displays, smash windows, and set fires.

2020_03 22 after the abortion

AFTER THE ABORTION: This is just one of the images created by photographer Angela Forker for her After the Abortion series. She works with real women (and some men) who are willing to have their stories of post-abortion trauma and healing through Jesus made public. All of the images are amazing, bu this one literally took my breath away. I’ve got goosebumps.

  • After the Abortion Photography Series by Angela Forker is available on Facebook.

SAW THIS ON FACEBOOK: Well, I finally lost it! Was just in the grocery store and saw a man whose cart was FULL to the brim with hand sanitizers, baby wipes, soaps, everything that people need!! I called him a selfish asshole, and gave him a low down about the elderly, moms of children and other people who need these types of things. Told him he should be freaking ashamed of himself for his hoarding!

He said: “Are you done? Cause I really need to get back to restocking the shelves now…”

  1. I have reusable shopping bags, but I made sure to buy the kind you can run through the washer and dryer, because I’m a germaphobe. 🙂
