MEDIA MALPRACTICE: “Now that the public is finally getting around to acknowledging that Ukraine’s government did insert itself in the 2016 election for the purpose of hurting President Trump’s campaign, the national media are pretending that it didn’t happen. In the case of the New York Times, they’re pretending that they themselves weren’t the ones to initially report on it.” – Eddie Scarry

HUNTER BIDEN: Joe Biden’s son has three children with his first wife Kathleen whom he divorced in 2017. She cited the money he spent on his drug habit and at strip clubs as contributing factors.

After separating from Kathleen in 2015, Hunter started a relationship with his recently deceased brother’s widow. They split up in late 2017 or early 2018.

An Arkansas woman has filed a paternity suit against Hunter, seeking child support for the “love” child he fathered while he was still involved with Beau’s widow. DNA tests have confirmed he is the baby daddy.

On May 16, 2019, Hunter was secretly married to a woman he had reportedly known for 10 whole days.

MOVIE RECOMMENDATION: Pick of the Litter [1:21]Five stars worth of feel good entertainment. This engaging documentary follows the two-year progress of five dogs born and trained from puppy-hood to serve as guide dogs for the blind.

From birth, through home training by volunteers, through multiple evaluations and tests, formal training, and final placement. This was an unusually successful litter. On average, only 3 out of 8 make the cut. But in this litter, only 2 of the 5 washed out.

  1. “He says he didn’t die, because angels caught him.” Broken arms, legs, and head trauma in addition to the stomach wound. I would think angels could have done a better job of catching, or I overestimate their abilities. (!)

Seriously, my older sister tumbled down cement stairs while vacationing in Mexico a couple of months ago, and broke ribs, shoulder, and vertebrae. Thanks to modern trauma therapy and, of course, angels (which I don’t think she believes in), she is up and about, even driving again, with just some back pain. And 70yo is not as resilient as 5yo Landon! The miracle of healing.

The dark part of the story: with plea-bargaining, a man who was convicted of attempted first-degree murder of a child was only sentenced to nineteen years’ imprisonment. I’d go by what Vic on A♠ calls the hundred-year-ago rule. That guy would be swinging from a rope. Cold comfort that his fellow prisoners may be the type that don’t like child murderers and he won’t live out his sentence anyway.
