VETERANS DAY: President and Mrs. Trump lead New York City’s 100th annual Veterans Day Parade [18:56] – Trump is the first sitting president to participate, but this isn’t the first time that he supported the event in a big way.
Back in 1995, less than three months before the big day, organizers were completely broke. Even military contractors had given them nothing. Then-businessman and always-patriotic Donald J. Trump stepped in to the tune of $700,000, unleashing a windfall of donations that allowed the parade to go on.
ABORTION: A Doctrine of Demons [21:40] – This documentary juxtaposes the stated values of abortion activists with those of Satanic groups. For example, the Satanic Temple teaches that defending abortion access is a worthy form of Satan worship.
MEDIA MALPRACTICE: [3:25] – PolitiFact recently declared Mostly False a Trump ad that said Democratic presidential candidates “support giving illegal immigrants free health care at our expense.”
So … what? We somehow did NOT see and hear what we DID see and hear?
CLIMATE: It’s going to be a bitterly cold winter – When the weather is unusually hot, global warming activists shriek about how we’re all going to burn up if we don’t stop burning fossil fuels. This winter, expect them to shriek about how we’re all going to freeze to death if we don’t stop burning fossil fuels.
Man’s fossil fuel burning does have a small impact on global climate. But the main driver has always been sun spot activity. Low sunspot activity is associated with colder annual temperatures on Earth and higher with warmer temperatures.
Some climate scientists are concerned that we are in for another period similar to the Maunder Minimum, a prolonged period of very little sunspot activity that lasted from ca. 1645 – 1715. The unusually short growing seasons and bitter winters led to massive food shortages and much human suffering.
HOMEOPATHY: Doctors all said a woman with a huge kidney stone (11×6 mm) had to have surgery. She was in severe pain and suffering many complications, but she was terrified of surgery. She sought out a homeopathy doctor. After 21 days of taking the remedies he prescribed, she was completely fine.
BOOK RECOMMENDATION: I could hardly put this down. It’s extremely well written and very timely in our politically polarized era. The author grew up in, but ultimately left the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas, of in-your-face “God Hates Fags”and “Pray for More Dead Soldiers” fame. Her memoir is an intelligent and compassionate look at the mechanics, psychology, and spirituality of extremism.
GRAMMY NOTES: I had the first half of my second crown done today. It went really well and I’m not in much pain … just wiped out.
