ISIS: #2 is dead now tooAbu Hassan al-Muhajir, considered a potential successor to terror leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has been killed by U.S. forces in Syria in a separate attack about a 3-hour drive from where al-Baghdadi was killed.

CALLING OUT SINNERS: Joe Biden regularly delights fellow Democrats while scandalizing faithful Catholics by citing his alleged devotion to the Catholic faith. On Sunday morning, he attended Mass at a Florence, SC, church where the celebrant refused to give him Holy Communion because of his support for abortion.

“Holy Communion signifies we are one with God, each other and the Church. Our actions should reflect that. Any public figure who advocates for abortion places himself or herself outside of Church teaching,” Father Morey said. “I will keep Mr. Biden in my prayers.”

COVINGTON: A federal judge reopened the $250 million defamation lawsuit filed by Covington Catholic high school student Nicholas Sandmann against The Washington Post. District Judge William O. Bertelsman’s new ruling was based on an amended complaint filed by Sandmann’s legal team.

“Nicholas Sandmann deserves his day in court against WaPo. Now he will get it,” said Lin Wood, attorney for the Sandmann family.

ABORTION: A federal judge blocked Alabama’s near-complete ban on abortion, which was scheduled to take effect on November 15.

Alabama State Rep. Terri Collins said: “Our law was designed to overturn Roe v. Wade at the Supreme Court level, and today’s ruling is merely the first of many steps on that legal journey.”

SATAN’S AGENDA: “Forbid marriage” – One route to this is to legalize so many things as “marriage” that the word loses its meaning and they end up in outlawing it. Gay marriage was the first step. The next logical step is polygamy.

CBSN, the digital streaming arm of CBS News, aired an hourlong special on “consensual non-monogamy” Sunday night. The network also lamented the “legal hurdles in non-monogamous relationships.” ABC News, The Daily Beast, and The New York Times have also recently promoted polyamory or openly non-monogamous relationships.

GEORGE WASHINGTON: [3:25] “As his legend began to grow, many people considered the future President George Washington to be bulletproof! But it wasn’t because of something he did in the Revolution, it was from his heroics in a battle 20 years earlier.

“During the Battle of Monongahela (1755), Washington earned this legend by leading his troops even when all other officers around him had been shot off of their horses. He left that battle with 4 bullet holes in his coat, one in his hat, bullet fragments in his hair, and 2 horses shot out from under him, but he was unscathed.

“The French were mystified. The Indian sharpshooters were amazed. Was Washington just lucky, or was he protected by a higher power?”

CHEWY.COM: I just saw this on social media“My sister and brother-in-law tragically lost both of their dogs this past weekend. After this happened they received two 40 pound bags of dog food that they had ordered from Chewy.com. My brother-in-law sent them an email requesting permission to send the dog food back for refund minus the shipping cost. They responded with unbelievable kindness. They credited their credit card for the full purchase price and asked them to donate the dog food to a local shelter. They sent a second email requesting a picture of one of the dogs to put in there memorial book to honor her. And then today my sister and brother-in-law received these beautiful flowers from Chewy.com. I wish I could tell everybody this story. This is the kind of story that needs to go viral. This is an incredible company.”

PATRIOTISM: In July, the 14-year son of a servicemember began knocking on doors in his neighborhood and passing out flyers hoping to encourage his neighbors to fly an American flag outside their homes to honor our military.

He also teamed up with his local Lowes, offering a discount for neighbors who purchased large American flags there. The community response was “overwhelming” and Fox Nation is set to present him with its “Unsung Hero” award on Nov. 6.

  1. Well, chrissy, if you’re going to steal and deface repurpose 🙂 my cartoon, I wouldn’t mind a little credit, at minimum a linky. 😉 Oh, I didn’t leave a link with the comic? Whoops.

Hey, folks (except those on the front page who can’t read this because it’s below the fold), the “Prayer” cartoon is a Mindful Webwork, from a long, silly, rambling comic called Spirit Contact and Dreams, originally published as a print mini-comic in April, 1992. Spoiler: There’s not really much to say about spirit contact and dreams, the text is kind-of dry, but I had lots of fun doing the drawerings.

“Answer to Prayer” used to be available as a poster before CafePress obliterated my stores. Keep meaning to make it available again.

I really like “Be the America Hong Kong thinks you are.”

Dirty truck artist sure has some talent!

Also “woman cut in front of me” – very funny.

      • Heh-thanks, BoB.

I re-read that whole Dreams comic today, for the first time in years. I realized I drew that almost three decades ago. It’s been many years since I enjoyed doing such brush and ink work, or any by-hand cartoonery or drawing, for that matter. Most stuff in more recent years was all done digitally. Is that weird that I look at those illustrations and think, “Wow, I wish I could draw like that”? 🙂

Happy spooks & pumpkins day, PoliNation peoples.

I wanted to give credit, but I wasn’t sure it was yours (though it looked like your style) and you hadn’t signed it. If I hadn’t been so busy this week, I would’ve reached out. Oh wait, I don’t have any contact information for you. ::sigh:: Anyway, my apologies.
