My latest update from the campaign trail.

2020 Two greatest presidents

TRUMP: People started lining up on Saturday evening for the Trump rally that begins at 7 pm in Fayetteville, North Carolina today.

FYI: If I had made that meme, I’d have written, “greatest modern presidents.”

WILLIAMSON: Red Pill Moment [8:49] – Democrats are mean. They lie. And their economic policies are bad for minorities.

BTW, I appreciated Huckabee praising Whoopi. While I hate a lot of the little I have heard her say on The View, I can second what Huckabee said about her being a nice person in general. She came to my home town to teach a summer class and a friend of the family waited on her at a local store.

I agree with Dave Barry that the way people treat those who serve them says a lot about their character. Our friend said Whoopi was really nice to her as she helped the mega star pick out a television for her summer rental home.

2020 Bernie Linda

BERNIE: “The kosher pickle I had for lunch is more Jewish than Bernie – This week, the man who says he wants to be our first Jewish president invited Linda Sarsour to promote him on the campaign trail. Sarsour is the famously anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, pro-Sharia Law activist.

From Thomas Lifson at American Thinker: “It is sometimes maintained that Bernie Sanders can’t be as anti-Israel as some of his positions would indicate, because he spent time on a kibbutz there. [But the kibbutz in question was] part of the communist organizational support system, dedicated to the triumph of communism under the leadership of the Soviet Union. …

This sojourn in Israeli communist kibbutz is fully consistent with Sanders’s honeymoon visit to the Soviet Union (where, Rand Paul quipped, he stayed), his visit to Nicaragua’s Sandinista revolutionary leader Daniel Ortega as the first U.S. elected official when he became the mayor of Burlington, and his 1980s visit to Cuba where he met with the mayor of Havana.”

2020 Biden blames

BIDEN: Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden suffered yet another verbal mishap at a Friday campaign event in Laconia, New Hampshire, when he referred to George W. Bush as “the last president.”

2020 kamala

KAMALA: A voter in New Hampshire asked Senator Kamala Harris this question.

I don’t buy that argument that impeachment does not make sense, and like when — I don’t buy that argument. There needs to be accountability. I mean, what are you going to do in the next one year to diminish the mentally retarded action of this guy?

The audience laughed and applauded.

Kamala Harris also laughed and said, “Well said, well said.”

The backlash was quick and intense, so now the Queen of Backtracking now says she didn’t really “hear or process” what the questioner said.

IOW, you don’t listen to voters. Good to know.

2020 beto

BETO: Demonstrating just HOW out of touch Robert Francis is with the American people – On Saturday, he said law enforcement would not need to go door-to-door to enforce a mandatory assault weapons ban.

I see Americans complying with the law.”

2020 Sanford

CHALLENGING TRUMP: Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford announced Sunday that he will challenge President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination in 2020.

I think we need to have a conversation about what it means to be a Republican. I think that as a Republican party we have lost our way,” Sanford said.

Lost our way.” That’s rich. Sanford couldn’t hang on to the governorship of South Carolina; after two terms, Nikki Haley beat him out of the job.

And now he decides he’s going to run against Trump’s 72% approval among Republicans for the national Republican nomination. BWAHAHAHA!!

  1. Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford hopes everybody has forgotten about his adulterous affair with the Appalachian Trail, but I haven’t, and I’d assume Trump hasn’t forgotten. A man that shameless is in the wrong party.

“I think we need to have a conversation about what it means to be a Republican,” he says? Methinx he has missed the last three years when Trump has been doing exactly that, defining what the GOP ought to be, and by contrast what the Democrat Party is. It’s one of his greatest accomplishments.

Tuned into the Fayetteville rally last night, just in time to hear Pence introduce the President. Milady and I sat down to watch, but really didn’t think we’d watch it all. Same old same old, we figured. But Trump keeps it fresh and the crowds are always fun – we watched his whole speech.

I can imagine no scenario where any gathering of Democrats would be having that much joyous fun, much less the enthusiastic patriotism.

This needs a meme! Do you want credit?

Democrats … according to Dearest, they’re no different at the micro-level. He is on the local GOP committee as well as does some county level work, fund-raising and helping to pick candidates mostly.

He says all the GOP meetings are convivial and productive, following a clear agenda and getting everyone home to their families promptly.

But he also occasionally sits in on village, town, and county board meetings, all of which I believe are currently Democrat majority. He says they’re argumentative and chaotic, often have no clear agenda and last for hours and hours without getting a darned thing done.

His suspicion is that the PTBs make their decisions behind closed doors, ram them through behind the public’s back, and hold public meetings just for show.
