My latest update from the campaign trail.

DEMOCRAT CAMPAIGN ANALYSIS: “No one is excited about Biden.”This is an interesting discussion. Click to see the results of the latest polls are at Real Clear Politics.

BETO: He supports legal abortion without restrictions of any kind [2:00] – His statement lie about the “maternal mortality crisis in Texas” is based on a faulty report that claimed the maternal death rate in Texas was 38.4 per 100,000 live births in 2012.

The Texas state health department reported it was actually 14.6. The national average that year was 15.9.

SPARTACUS: Cory Booker is promising to root out white supremacism – According to him, “The majority of terror attacks in this country since 9/11 have been carried out by right-wing extremists. … As president I will use the full force of the presidency to root out white supremacist threats wherever they arise.” — Cory Booker, August 26, 2019

And by “majority of terror attacks”, he means “hardly any.”

The following were committed by radicalized Muslims:

  • The inconvenient one he eliminated – 9/11 – killed 3,000 people in a single day;
  • A shooter at Fort Hood, TX, killed 14 (including an unborn baby) and injured more than 30;
  • The Boston Marathon bombing killed 3 and wounded at least 264;
  • A shooter in Chattanooga, Tennessee, killed 4;
  • Two shooters at a holiday party in San Bernardino, California, killed 14;
  • A shooter at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killed 49;
  • A truck driven down a busy bicycle path in NYC, killed 8 and injured almost a dozen.

Terror attacks since 9/11 that were carried out by white supremacists:

  • A car driven into a group of protesters in Charlottesville, NC, killed 1 and injured 19.
  • A mass shooter at a Walmart store in El Paso, TX, killed 22 and injured 24.

Note: I have not included other mass shootings where the motivations behind them were not political. These tended to involve young, depressed males who became obsessed with becoming famous and often dying after committing mass murder.

STEYER: The new USA Today–Suffolk University poll is out – In it, billionaire environmentalist, Tom Steyer, was supported by one person, or .24% of those Democratic voters surveyed. This is well below the 2% threshold he needed to be assured a place at the next Democratic debate in two weeks.

ILHAN OMAR: The Muslim congresswoman has been named as the “other woman” in a divorce suit [1:43] – Dr. Beth Mynett says in her divorce filing that her cheating spouse, Tim Mynett, told her in April that he was having an affair with the Somali-born US representative, that he was in love with her, and that he wanted a divorce.

Omar has reportedly split from her first/third husband, Ahmed Hirsi, and is headed for divorce. Her second husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, is widely believed to be Omar’s brother, a claim she has said is “absurd and offensive.” Reporters and commentators have speculated that the marriage involved immigration fraud and have urged the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate the matter.

Since 2018, Omar’s campaign fund has paid approximately $230,000, allegedly for fundraising consulting, digital communications, internet advertising and travel expenses. Omar has already been found guilty of improperly using campaign funds to pay her own personal expenses. If Mynett’s travel costs related to romance rather than political consulting, or if the fees charged were inflated for the joint personal benefit of Mynett and Omar, it would represent another violation on Omar’s part.

Siraj Hashmi, a writer for Washington Examiner, said that “for many traditionally conservative Muslims, this goes beyond the pale. Dating/marrying outside the religion is enough to ostracize her. However, given her politics, I can imagine them giving her a pass,” he said.
