The latest tidbits about the 2020 hopefuls and their campaigns.
I ❤ STEVE HILTON: [8:13] – Steve discusses his idea of what it means to be an American, and reveals that he has started the process to earn his own American citizenship.
TRUMP APPROVAL: This must have really galled the TDSers at ABC and the Washington Post –
“Donald Trump reached the highest job approval rating of his career in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll. … Forty-four percent of Americans approve of Trump’s overall job performance, up a slight 5 percentage points from April and 2 points better than his peak early in his presidency.”
FROM THE BOWELS OF HELL: Cometh the Democratic Party’s 2020 Platform – Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Tulsi Gabbard and Mike Gravel have come out in favor of legalizing prostitution.
FOX & FRIENDS: The AOC-Pelosi feud [7:05] – This is the first episode I’ve ever watched that did not break down into squabbling cross-talk. Very refreshing! And everyone, including my least favorite one, made good points. Worth watching!
BETO: “You can’t practice identity politics if you have no identity of your own. And he doesn’t.” [6:56] – After shredding Beto, The Five actually have an interesting discussion with less than the usual cross-talk squabbling (which I hate).
My take on the subject is that it’s ridiculous to apply modern principles to historical events. We should only examine the founding of our nation in the context of its own historical milieu. For its time, it was an astonishing leap forward for human rights over government rights. Period.
As for only white, land-owning males having a right to vote … well, duh, because they were the only people at that time who were educated. Sheesh.
