EUCHARISTIC MIRACLE: On Christmas Day 2013, at St. Hyacinth’s Church in Legnica, Poland, about 200 miles from Krakow, a consecrated Host accidentally fell to the floor. As required by Canon Law, the priest at once placed it in a container with water to dissolve and closed it in the tabernacle.
Two weeks later, two priests noticed that the Host had not dissolved. Keep in mind that hosts dissolve in one’s mouth in less than a minute. Even more astonishing, the host had acquired a red spot that covered a fifth of its surface.
The priests informed the bishop, who established a special theological scientific commission to analyze the event. Three specialists at different locations examined samples. They determined that the red section was composed of human heart muscle that showed alterations that often appear during agony.
Once the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith was given the results, it recognized this as a supernatural experience.
