AMERICA’S GOT TALENT: The 2017 Overall Winner’s performances – This is wonderful and truly worth 20 minutes of your life. [19:56]

BORDER: Nearly 700,000 foreigners have been apprehended in the past eight months, which is more than the population of Miami.

But when a reporter asked Nancy Pelosi her opinion of Trump’s threat to impose tariffs if Mexico doesn’t stem the tide, she slammed her hands on the lectern saying, “This is not a way to treat a friend.”

Wait, wut? She thinks “a friend” would be allowing tens of thousands of illegals to invade us?!

GOOD MORNING BRITAIN: Emily Thornberry recites all the usual bs, while ignoring what a flaming hypocrite she is for liking Obama and supporting policies Trump supports. Piers Morgan takes her apart. [9:00]

trump protest

SAVE THE PLANET: One tweeter noted, “After every @exxonmobil shareholders meeting in Dallas, environmentalists leave their trash all over the streets and vandalize buildings.”

$15 MINIMUM WAGE: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Wrong About the Minimum Wage – She says it benefits the little people while sticking it to big corporations. But raising the mandatory minimum wage has always increased prices and decreased jobs.

History and common sense show that the “feels so good $15” harms those on fixed incomes, like the elderly and disabled, by raising prices overall, while stealing jobs from the lowest and most vulnerable of wage earners.

Restaurants and other small businesses are forced to cut back or close completely. And would-be entrepreneurs face such daunting employee costs that fewer can even start.

Add it all up and you can see that AOC has it exactly backwards. Big corporations are much better able to absorb the costs of a minimum wage increase. The rest of us cannot. [3:10]

ABORTION: Abortion Pill Reversal – Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts has signed into law a requirement that women receiving the abortion pill be informed that it can be reversed. Nebraska joins Arizona, Arkansas, South Dakota, Utah, Idaho, North Dakota, Kentucky, and Oklahoma in choosing to require women be informed about abortion choices.

BABY BODY PARTS: The Trump administration has ended the government’s contract with a bioscience company that provided human fetal tissue from elective abortions for testing purposes.

Live Action ban

MEDIA BIAS: Twitter says that scientific facts are unacceptable if they dignify the humanity of unborn babies or reveal the barbarism of abortion procedures.

Women's right to choose

2d A: Don’t tell your doctor anything about your guns – One of the Left’s most recent efforts to circumvent your right to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the Second Amendment, is to have your personal physician inquire about guns in the home, which he/she will then document on medical records that are increasingly becoming computerized, and, thus, available to government snoops via database sharing.

But according to Doctors for Responsible Gun Ownership, a pro-firearms medical organization that “values the foundational tradition of firearm ownership in the lives of Americans,” you are under no obligation to tell your doctor anything about guns in your home — what kind, how they are kept, where they are kept, whether they are locked, etc.

RACISM: Can anyone talk faster than Ben Shapiro? [4:23]

SCRIPPS NATIONAL SPELLING BEE: This year’s U-N-P-R-E-C-E-D-E-N-T-E-D contest EIGHT winners. Winnowed down from 562 starting contestants, the final eight proved unconquerable through 20 rounds. After the 20th round, the judges had run out of challenging words. Whereupon they ruled that each would each take home a first prize trophy and an accompanying $50,000 check.

Catholic scientists

CATHOLIC SCIENTISTS: These giants of modern science were all devout Catholics –

  • The Father of Genetics = Gregor Mendel (1822-1884)
  • Inventor of Pasteurization = Louis Pasteur (1822 – 1895)
  • Pioneer in treating diabetes with insulin = St. Giuseppe Moscati (1880 – 1927)
  • Nobel Prize (1929) in Quantum Mechanics = Louis de Broglie (1892 – 1987)
  • First to propose the Big Bang Theory = Fr. Georges Lemaître (1894 – 1966)
  • Discoverer of cause for Down Syndrome = Dr. Jerome Lejeune (1926 – 1994)

  1. Thanks for the morning bits & bytes, chrissy.

Slight cut-and-paste error, looks like, in the Border paragraph. “Nearly 700,000” got stuck in twice.

“Can anyone talk faster than Ben Shapiro?” Is that why he’s so unbearably high-pitched? Ben needs an autotuning, or fake-voice, something to bring him down to the level he can be heard by humans and not just dogs.
