BORDER: Statement from the President Regarding Emergency Measures to Address the Border Crisis “As everyone knows, the United States of America has been invaded by hundreds of thousands of people coming through Mexico and entering our country illegally.  This sustained influx of illegal aliens has profound consequences on every aspect of our national life—overwhelming our schools, overcrowding our hospitals, draining our welfare system, and causing untold amounts of crime.  Gang members, smugglers, human traffickers, and illegal drugs and narcotics of all kinds are pouring across the Southern Border and directly into our communities.  Thousands of innocent lives are taken every year as a result of this lawless chaos.  It must end NOW!”

drug prices

TRUMP ECONOMY: The high cost of prescription medication is one of the biggest problems in health care – The Trump administration is delivering results. For the first time in 46 years, the official government measure of inflation in drug prices dropped for all of 2018. More than a dozen companies froze and even reduced their prices. And starting in July, drug companies will be required to include prices in their TV ads.

SENATE:If you asked me to name one thing America could do right now to remedy many of our national problems, my response would be simple: Repeal the Seventeenth Amendment. Do it yesterday.

The Framers of the Constitution originally gave state legislatures the power to participate in federal lawmaking by choosing senators to represent their interests in Washington. Through a campaign of misinformation, progressive reformers successfully removed that rightful power from the states. It’s high time we gave it back.”

CALIFORNIA: What happens when Progressives run things – Last October, after at least nine reports of the disease, Los Angeles officials cleaned up some of the worst piles of garbage. But now, the trash has accumulated once again. It could reportedly take up to 90 days for the trash to be removed once again, according to NBC Los Angeles. The outlet also reported that the city has no plan for controlling its rodent population, which is carrying typhus-bearing fleas.

OBAMA: I hate giving him even a minute of my attention, but come ON! – He allegedly taught classes in constitutional law. Plus, you know, he was a State Senator, then a U.S. Senator, then POTUS. Sheesh.

Also, this – On May 30, former president Barack Obama was a keynote speaker at an event in Brazil, during which he spouted six lies and about gun laws and one truth. Click to read about them.

ABORTION: In an effort to further dehumanize the unborn, The New York Times has adopted bizarre new language that ignores the science Leftists claim to worship. When describing the fetal heartbeat, the NY Slime used the words “the pulsing of what becomes the fetus’s heart”, as if it is questionable whether an unborn baby actually has a heart or a heartbeat.

In the real world … “Today, modern technology such as the fetal doppler and obstetrical ultrasound enable earlier detection of the heartbeat, and moms can also listen in on those exciting first heart sounds of their baby.”

2d A: Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed important self-defense bill into law that creates a new concealed carry permit in Tennessee that would make it more accessible for Tennesseans to exercise their right to self-defense.

VAPING: Vaping is not a safer alternative to smoking cigarettes – Many scientific studies show it can greatly increase you risk of respiratory disease, including lung cancer. There is also research suggesting that vaping can also harm your cardiovascular health, increase blood pressure, and affect your brain function. All that seems like a pretty high price to pay for … what exactly? I never have understood the appeal of any kind of smoking.

  1. Those doggies-at-play clips are great.

It’s always a delight to realize how utterly built-in the creators made “play” — at least, especially for us higher mammals. It seems so… “human” (he said, anthropocentrically).

Just from my front window I’ve enjoyed watching fawns, running and chasing for no other apparent reason than fun. Even see young Angus calves do it before they settle down to just becoming steaks. Cats are a little weirder, as sometimes they are cute, playful kittens, but sometimes they are “playing with their (fresh caught not yet dead) food” — not so cute. Or suddenly clawing at my flesh. But in their minds it’s play.

But seeing the dog going down the “slippery slide” over and over, the dog using the trampoline, you can see they’ve actually experienced something fun, and set up the circumstance to repeat that fun. Serious, intentional, joyous play!

Our old doggie would chase the deer; I really think they were all enjoying playing chase together, knowing he’d never really catch one, because the deer didn’t flee to the woods, they would just run a little ways away, then wait for him to catch up. When the grass was high, we’d see deer leaping, they’d appear and disappear and reappear, followed by Gimli, huffing along, seen only as his shaggy tail sticking up above the grass like a bicycler’s flag. Miss him!

Thanks for the doggie clips. I forgot everything else I was going to comment. Lucky you. 😀

When I was a kid, our next door neighbor’s dog would come to the playground, stand in line for her turn to go up the steep ladder and shoot down the slide.

The same dog had a bunny who would taunt her like the deer did yours. One day, I was in our yard, practicing my gymnastics. I was holding a nice bridge when ::whoosh:: the bunny came shooting through the bushes and ran under me, closely followed by the dog! Note: One cannot hold a bridge while laughing hysterically.

The neighbor told us that Princess had brought the dead bunny to them, very proudly, like a hunter delivering prey to the Alpha. She was pretty sure the bunny had died a natural death and that Princess had just found the body! LOL

Ha. Right. Better your neighbor not realize what a killer the pooch was!
