NADLER v. BARR: From Beth Baumann at Townhall – “[The House Judiciary Committee] wants to hear directly from Barr about how he determined no obstruction of justice took place. Barr said he would be happy to answer committee members’ questions, but objected to Nadler’s format that allowed the Committee’s counsel to question him.
“It makes you wonder why committee members are insisting on having their lawyer question the Attorney General, given that 15 out of the 24 Democratic members (including Chairman Nadler) have law degrees from highly reputable schools and most of them practiced law in some capacity before running for Congress.”
JUSTICE IS COMING: The coup failed and now the tables will turn – “Sources tell me there is an investigation into how this counter intelligence investigation into Trump began. It’s time to investigate the beginnings of this coup and who in the DOJ, FBI and White House signed on to prevent and overturn the will of the American people.” – Judge Jeanine
ANTI-SEMITISM: From Ben Shapiro – “Israel is being attacked by terrorists firing hundreds of rockets at civilian areas. The terrorists care so little about their own citizens that their rockets hit their own people. Israel is retaliating by specifically targeting terrorists. Yet the world draws moral equivalence.
“If you consider it morally abhorrent for a white supremacist terrorist to target Jews for death, you should consider Hamas and Islamic Jihad the same way. Yet many do not, which certainly speaks to their lack of seriousness about Jew-hatred.
“By and large, the Jeremy Corbyn Left, the New York Times editorial board, the sophisticates at western universities treat Jew-hatred differently based on the source of the Jew-hatred. Which means Jewish blood is a political tool for them, not a problem.
“Spare me the crocodile tears about Chabad of Poway or Tree of Life if you’re now making excuses for Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
“Anti-Semitism is anti-Semitism. It always was and it always will be. And those who provide cover for it are complicit in it.”
BORDER: Both houses of the Florida state legislature have passed a bill banning sanctuary cities in the Sunshine State. Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has promised to sign it.
DAVID HOGG: No, sir. It’s a legal term – An “alien” is any person who is not a citizen or national of the United States. An alien can be in the U.S. legally or illegally. Hogg is on his way to Harvard where methinks he will single-handedly lower the student intelligence quotient.
FREE SPEECH: This week, Facebook banned online pundits Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos, Laura Loomer, Paul Joseph Watson, former congressional candidate Paul Nehlen, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, and Jones’ InfoWars organization from Facebook and Instagram. They also promised to ban anyone who posts their content on these platforms, unless the purpose is to condemn it.
From Twitter –
Donald Trump, POTUS: “So surprised to see Conservative thinkers like James Woods banned from Twitter, and Paul Watson banned from Facebook!”
Maggie Haberman, NY Times: “Watson is an Alex Jones protege who among other things has trafficked in 9/11 conspiracy theories.”
Sharyl Attkisson, investigative journalist: “So should everyone who traffics in conspiracy theories that turn out to be false, (say the idea that Americans colluded with Russia), be banned from social media and Google searches? Discuss.”
PRO-LIFE IS PRO-WOMAN: Pro-aborts say, “You are not strong enough to be a mother, therefore you must trample on the rights of your young.”
Pro-life says, ”You are strong and capable enough to be a mother, and we will stand by you and your child!”
ABORTION PILL REVERSAL: Kansas voted to keeping female patients ignorant of their real choices – The Kansas legislature passed a bill requiring doctors to tell women that the abortion pill can be reversed if the woman changes her mind after taking it. The governor vetoed it. The Kansas Senate voted to override the veto, but the House failed by a single vote to reach the two-thirds majority needed. It kinda seems like “pro-choice” should include, you know, CHOICE.
NRA FUNDING: A CNNMoney analysis of federal campaign finance records shows that most of the money the NRA uses for political action comes from everyday Americans, not corporations.
EDUCATION: Getting the feds out of it – President Trump has signed an executive order to start pulling the federal government out of K-12 education, following through on a campaign promise to return school control to state and local officials. The effort will start with a 300-day review of regulations and directs Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to modify or repeal measures she deems an overreach by the federal government.
