Biden Trump rallies

BIDEN v. TRUMP: Polls – Biden’s the current front-runner in the Democrat field.

The latest CNN presidential approval poll shows Trump at 43%, the highest that poll has ever recorded.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows 56% of Americans now oppose Congress beginning impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Only 37% currently support impeachment – 62% of Democrats and 10% of Republicans.

WE NEED THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE: Prager U – Five minute civics lesson about how the Electoral College protects our rights by forcing candidates to care about every voter in every state.

FAUXCAHONTAS: Princess Runs-With-Bad-Ideas – In my not-so-humble-opinion, American wannabe college students should be thanking God that low interest, deferred payment student loans are available at all. Period.

GILLIBRAND: What could possibly go wrong? – Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand announced a new plan to give every voter a pile of taxpayer money to spend on the candidates they prefer. And, what a shock … she plans to pay for it with a tax on millionaires.

If each of the 63 million people who voted for Trump in 2016 gave his 2020 campaign $200, he would have about $12 billion more to spend. ::snork::

U.S. SENATE RACES: Even if a Democrat were to win the White House in 2020, he or she would be able to accomplish relatively little of the bold programs they’re promising if Republicans maintain a Senate majority. Republicans hold a 53-to-47 edge in the Senate. If there’s a Democratic vice president to cast tie-breaking votes, Democrats would still need three additional seats to take control.

Last fall, despite a blue wave in House races, Republicans knocked off Democratic Senate incumbents last fall in North Dakota, Missouri, Indiana and Florida. And the Alabama seat is predicted to flip back to Republican.

These prominent Democrats have announced they will NOT run for the Senate seats in their states – Colorado: John Hickenlooper; Georgia: Stacey Abrams; Texas: Beto O’Rourke; Montana: Steve Bullock. Bennet’s seat isn’t up for re-election in 2020.
