POST-MUELLER: Enough is enough – President Trump said on Tuesday that he doesn’t want current and former White House aides to testify in front of Congress. The White House cooperated with Mueller’s investigation. “There is no reason to go any further, and especially in Congress where it’s very partisan — obviously very partisan,” Trump said.
The New York Post editorial board agreed with his position. “With House Democrats in full witch-hunt mode, President Trump is unquestionably right to dismiss them — that is, to cite executive privilege and other legitimate reasons to frustrate Rep. Jerry Nadler & Co.’s fishing expeditions. Nadler’s Judiciary Committee is looking to win points with the Democratic base by conducting endless re-investigations of everything covered by special counsel Bob Mueller’s extensive probe.”
OBAMACARE SUCKS: A new report by the Congressional Budget Office says that, from 2016 to 2018, the number of uninsured climbed by 1.4 million people. ALL of them were middle class Americans who couldn’t afford the massive rate increases Obamacare’s mandates and regulations caused, but who were ineligible for any kind of assistance.
BORDER: Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has changed his policy for migrant caravans, amid pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump. Migrant groups that used to be welcomed in Mexico are now being detained by police and sent back. They have also established a checkpoint near the country’s southern border in an effort to curb the flow of migrants that burden Mexico’s economy. About 15,000 migrants from Central America have already been deported.
ILLEGAL CRIMINAL: A man who has been deported 5 times has been arrested here again. This time, he beat an infant to death. In its story about the killing, WaPo buried the man’s illegal status and deportation record.
JUSTICE: Two charged for helping illegal escape – Judge Shelley Richmond Joseph and court officer Wesley MacGregor were charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice, obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting and obstruction of a federal proceeding.
The indictment stems from an April 2018 incident from when they helped Jose Medina-Perez, slip out of the courthouse covertly through a back door to evade ICE agents. Jose Medina-Perez had been deported two times, had a fugitive warrant out for his arrest for drunk driving, and had been arraigned on narcotics charges.
AOC: Another idiotic tweet – First, the Kentucky GOP tweeted out this photo of Kentucky Democrat Representative John Yarmuth standing with a cardboard cutout of AOC.
Second, AOC shot out a snarky response about older male members of the GOP posing with cardboard cutouts of young, female legislators.
Third, alert tweeters pointed out to her that the guy in the photo is a Democrat who, you know, sits on the same side of the House of Representatives as she does. Also, this fact is stated in the original tweet which AOC apparently didn’t bother to read.
Fourth, AOC deleted her snarky (I mean, stupid) tweet.
Fifth, it was too late.
INDOCTRINATION: Teaching kids that President Trump is mentally ill and that his supporters are racists – By the People: A History of the United States, a high school history textbook used by advanced placement students, includes a virulent anti-Trump section entitled “The Angry Election of 2016” that includes passages like this:
“Most thought that Trump was too extreme a candidate to win the [Republican] nomination,” it says, “but his extremism, his anti establishment rhetoric, and, some said, his not-very-hidden racism connected with a significant number of primary voters ― more voters than any other single Republican candidate.”
Curious how “most” were so wrong. My guess is the “most” refers to the textbook author and his Elitist Liberal Bubble Buddies.
ABORTION: Do we need Born Alive bills? – Democrats argue against it by claiming that infanticide is already illegal. But is it really? Many states passed legislation decades ago recognizing that abortion survivors do have rights. However, even within these laws there is a deficiency.
It has become clear that there is little enforcement. An abortionist merely needs to say that the child is not his patient.
From testimony on behalf of the North Carolina born alive bill that passed the state House and Senate, then was vetoed by Governor Roy Cooper:
Nurses told of stories of the babies that were born alive and [had] been taken by the doctor and turned over with their faces down in the saline to drown.
ABORTION: Indiana Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb signed two pieces of pro-life legislation this week. One bans dismemberment abortion procedures; the other allows more types of health professionals to opt out of providing abortion-related services.
COMA PATIENT AWAKENS: A woman who spent almost 30 years in a coma is now alert and talking after her family refused to give up hope for her recovery.
PROJECT VERITAS: Record Your Interviews! – Project Veritas got dragged into court for “selective edited.” It was stupid, since PV had posted their raw footage for whoever wanted to watch it. And the court agreed their edits had not changed the meaning of anything that was said.
Now PV is exposing the MSM’s habitual practice of selectively editing and encouraging anyone who gets interviewed to record for themselves. If the MSM edits it in a deceptive way, PV wants you to send to send the recording to them, so they can expose yet another example of FAKE NEWS.
AMAZING KIDS: A couple of ten-year-olds in Medford convinced the city to paint 3D crosswalks by their school – The video is embedded at the link. It’s a fun (also short) piece, so click on over.
