BORDER SECURITY: Updates —
Trump — “Well, I think that she was very rigid — which I would expect — but I think she’s very bad for our country,” the president said, when asked what he learned after negotiating with Pelosi in recent weeks. “She knows that you need a barrier. She knows that we need border security. She wanted to win a political point. I happen to think it’s very bad politics because basically, she wants open borders. She doesn’t mind human trafficking or she wouldn’t do this.”
Pentagon — “The Department of Defense will deploy ~3,750 additional US forces to provide the additional support to CBP at the southwest border…This will raise the total Active Duty forces supporting CBP at the border to ~4,350. Additional units are being deployed for 90 days”
Trump —“More troops being sent to the Southern Border to stop the attempted Invasion of Illegals, through large Caravans, into our Country. We have stopped the previous Caravans, and we will stop these also. With a Wall it would be soooo much easier and less expensive. Being Built!”
William A. Jacobson at Legal Insurrection — “Trump could spend double what he sought from Pelosi for the border wall. He who laughs last, laughs best.”
WISHFUL THINKING: When Obama was in office, Democrats blamed George W. Bush for the sluggish Obama economy. But since the economy had finally begun to pick up a bit toward the end of his two terms, they now want to credit Obama with our current economic boom. And while I will grant that a national economy takes time to respond to shifts in government policy, I think they’re blowing smoke when it comes to Obama’s economic prowess.
The 2007-2009 recession lasted only six months into Obama’s eight year administration, so he had more than seven years to steer us back to prosperity. Compare his recovery with those of previous recessions, particularly the two that were as bad or worse and that lasted quite a lot longer.
To those who attempt to blame Bush for Obama’s poor leadership and then credit him for the Trump economy … BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
WAPO SUCKS: The Washington Post has been “keeping us free” by driving the Russian collusion FAKE NEWS fantasy for the past two years. WaPo also demonstrated its politically-driven suckage with these three stories —If it serves the Progressive cause, it doesn’t matter that it never happened.1. In 2017, the Washington Post ran unsubstantiated 30-year-old child sexual assault charges against Republican Judge Roy Moore.2. In 2018, the Washington Post ran unsubstantiated 34-year-old sexual assault charges against Republican Judge Bret Kavanaugh that were refuted by EVERY potential witness. If it doesn’t serve the Progressive cause, it didn’t happen.3. In 2018, the Washington Post “carefully investigated … for several months” a 15-year-old sexual assault charge against Virginia Lt. Governor and DEMOCRAT Justin Fairfax, before spiking the story for being unsubstantiated.
COVINGTON UPDATE: The video above is from Nick Sandmann’s attorneys. It is worth your time. Besides skillfully juxtaposing actual video directly with all the lies spread by Nathan Phillips and the press, it also contains little or never seen video footage that is worth seeing.
The lawyers representing Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann have also sent legal notices to over 50 media organizations, politicians, celebrities and reporters, instructing them to not destroy any documents connected with the case. A partial list of potential lawsuit targets is listed at the URL below.
WHAT’S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE: At least five rural counties in Illinois have declared themselves “sanctuary” counties for gun rights, co-opting a word that most conservatives associate with the liberal policy of ignoring federal immigration laws. The resolutions aim to send a message to the Democrat-controlled legislature that if it passes the proposed gun bills, such as increasing the minimum age for owning a gun or a bump stock ban, the counties will instruct their employees to ignore the new laws.
DEMOCRAT CALIFORNIA: San Francisco has about 24,500 injection drug users, which is about 8,500 more than the approximately 16,000 students enrolled in the public high schools.
In Los Angeles, a Deputy City Attorney in Los Angeles caught typhus, she believes from fleas in her office at City Hall East. Fleas often live on rats, which congregate in the many heaps of trash that are visible across the city of LA, and are a breeding ground for typhus. The California Department of Public Health reports a 55% increase in reported cases of typhus for 2018, with over 160 cases reported across the state.
SOCIALISM SUCKS: Pity the children of Venezuela — More than one in seven currently suffers from malnutrition as their hard-working parents’ salaries no longer cover the soaring cost of everyday living.
- Common curable diseases kill children in huge numbers.
- Desperate mothers are selling their daughters’ young bodies for sex to buy food.
- Other poverty-stricken parents abandoned their children in the street to fight for themselves.
“Venezuela was once the richest country in Latin America. Patients would come to Caracas because we could provide the best care in the region. Now we can’t even feed the patients.” – Dr Huniades Urbina, a director of Caracas’ main children’s hospital
BISHOPS SPEAK OUT: “Abortion has always been built on a lie. Today, the lie is switching from ‘abortion is a choice’ to ‘abortion is health care.'” – Archbishop Joseph Naumann
“Politicians who reside in the Catholic Diocese of Spokane, and who obstinately persevere in their public support for abortion, should not receive Communion without first being reconciled to Christ and the Church.” – Bishop Thomas Daly
MEASLES: From cdc.gov/measles — Before the measles vaccine, 400-500 people died each year from measles complications. For every 1,000 cases of measles, 20 develop pneumonia, one develops encephalitis (swelling of the brain that can lead to convulsions and can leave the child deaf or with intellectual disability), and one or two will die. Children younger than 5 years of age and adults older than 20 years of age are more likely to suffer from these complications.

WORD NERD: Senate dates back to ancient Rome, where the Senatus was originally a council of elders composed of the heads of patrician families. Its root word, senex, means old. Familiar related English words include senior and senile. Less common words include senescence and senectitude, which both refer to the final stage of the normal life span. E.g., botany: the growth phase in a plant or plant part (such as a leaf) from full maturity to death.
THESE HORSES RULE! A truck that got stuck in an icy driveway in south Minnesota got a lift from two Belgian draft horses. The horses’ owner said while the animals regularly pull heavy loads, a semi-trailer was a first for them.
THIS IS SUCH A COOL DIY PROJECT: Mama Buzz could’ve really used one of these when she was a girl. Her “must have” stuffy collection barely left room in the bed for HER. LOL
MAKE YOUR KID USEFUL: When Mama Buzz was just hours old, Dearest said, “Now I’ll have someone to take the trash out for me.” It never occurred to either of us to use her to clean snow off the car. Stupid us!
