HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION: Remember, my Catholic readers, that tomorrow is the Feast of Mary, Mother of God. It is a Holy Day of Obligation.

2018_12 30 Kids arrive

WALLOWING IN LOVE: Gotta be quick here — The Buzzers are at the Science Center getting their energy out so they don’t demolish Grammy, so I can do a quick blog so long as I finish up before they return. 🙂 They are heading home on Wednesday morning, then Army Princess and her crew arrive mid-day on Thursday!

BORDER: Democrats don’t care — Sunday morning on FOX and Friends author and columnist Deroy Murdock broke down the Democrat Party’s record on border security. On issue after issue Democrats have voted against securing the borders and Democrats have protected illegal entry into America. This is a very dangerous policy. Thousands of Americans die each year from violent assaults and illegal drugs.

2018_12 31 Obama's walls

MEANWHILE: Trump’s outgoing chief of staff, John Kelly, says — “To be honest, it’s not a wall. The president still says ‘wall’ — oftentimes frankly he’ll say ‘barrier’ or ‘fencing,’ now he’s tended toward steel slats. But we left a solid concrete wall early on in the administration, when we asked people what they needed and where they needed it.”

2018_12 31 Liberal Logic - It's the law

OBAMACARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL: No appeals — A federal judge who recently declared Obamacare unconstitutional has stayed (or halted) his decision to allow for appeals. Judge Reed O’Connor says he stands by his earlier conclusion that the law was effectively invalidated by the recent tax law that reduced the penalty for not getting insurance to $0.

HYPOCRISY: Can somebody come up with as good a nickname as “Fauxcahontas” for this Hispanic-American Princess? — Ocasio-Cortez was forced to change her campaign bio page after she was caught lying about living in two worlds when she grew up in Worcester. She left the Bronx when she was five years old. She grew up in a small, homogeneous, affluent suburb, where she attended excellent schools before pretending she grew up in the Bronx.

2018_12 30 Net neutrality

RAKE STOMP OF THE YEAR: Net neutrality freak-out — A year ago, Democrats were predicting doom if Obama’s net neutrality rule was overturned.

Chuck Schumer: “If #NetNeutrality is eliminated, the Internet may start to resemble a toll road, with the highest bidders cruising along private “fast lanes” while the rest of us inch along a single, traffic-choked public lane.” Bernie Sanders called it, “An egregious attack on our democracy.” Nancy Pelosi predicted “higher costs and less choice.”

Real life proved them all wrong, as per usual. My favorite nyah-nyah tweet: The internet is better now, but only because so many people died from overturning net neutrality that it freed up more bandwidth.

2018_12 19 Gas prices

TRUMP ECONOMY: This makes Democrats nuts — Under President Trump “unemployment rate is matching its low point of the last half-century…An all-time high 130 million Americans now have a job…Wages are rising…Americans are again the most productive & among the highest-paid workers in the world.” — Sarah Sanders

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY: Year end wrap up Tom Gilson takes a look back at the major religious liberty stories from 2018, from the Little Sisters of the Poor to baker Jack Phillips to the outlawing of Catholic adoption services in Philadelphia.

2018_12 31 If Islam

MASS GRAVE OF CHRISTIANS: ISIS victims found in Libya — A mass grave of 34 Ethiopian Christians executed by the so-called Islamic State group in 2015 has reportedly been unearthed in Libya. The bodies have been exhumed and will be eventually repatriated to Ethiopia, the Libyan interior ministry says.

Happy Trails

Since I was granted posting privileges back in February of 2011 I’ve done more than 2970 posts. It’s been a long and sometimes difficult road. Some of the very best friends I’ll never meet have been here from the beginning. CtH,Bluebird,Ting, and a few others have been together going way back to the Hillbuzz days of 2007-08. Not that we cared a lick about Mme. Pantsuit but it was one of the few places you could have a discussion with democrats without the dialogue descending into profanity in short order.
About 2009 FlMom, started a new blog that we migrated to. It was great for some time and had a lot of participation.Eventually she formed what we’ve come to know as the Garden. The discussions were spirited and a lot of people made themselves known. Eventually, people just drifted away,as is their wont. The stalwarts, what I refer to as the hardcore, have seen me through some extremely difficult times. Things would have been much more difficult without their support.
Owing to a nearly unbroken string of bad decisions in my life I’ll be forced to work until I die.At 68 years old I’m working overnights in a gas station to make ends meet. Not complaining,it’s the price I pay for being irresponsible for decades.Due to my severe sleep apnea, my days are spent working, sleeping and spending a few precious hours with my grandchildren. It’s all I have left.
I was truly blessed to have grown up in a time when dads worked(there were a LOT of dads back then),mom stayed home and took care of the kids and schools taught such now-archaic things as civics, history, mathematics and job skills. There was no day care for 15 year old students who were already mothers. You had to actually read books, use a library and use a pencil and paper to show your work.Electronic devices and Google didn’t exist. All the kids you started school with graduated together.
The teachers union,in league with the democrat machine has reduced what was once education to socialist indoctrination where individual achievement is discouraged and everybody gets a medal. This makes for more compliant masses to feed the dependency machine that keeps the left viable.
In three days the democrats will take over the House they successfully stole last month. From the beginning they will eschew the business of running the country, save raising taxes and trying to bring in millions more illegal, potentially democrat voters. From day one they will concentrate on trying to impede the president with endless subpoenas and harassment just because they hate the fact he spoiled their party. If it hurts the country, they’re all for it.
When you grow up in an age where the family watched television together and good always triumphed over evil it’s an anathema to see how things have turned around. Evildoers triumph while innocents suffer because no one holds them responsible. Those we elect to represent us raise a sound and fury but it’s all for show. And the show will go on.I simply choose to step away and concern myself with what little I can control.
I may return some day,but that remains to be seen. Thanks for all the memories.

Mugging Taxpayers in the Swamp

The big dollar muggings in Washington these days are not done with pistols. The sophisticated weapons of choice are “sole source contracting,” lobbyists, and insiders. And the victims are not tourists, but taxpayers.

Large multinationals game the system using the revolving door between government and the private sector, with the help of aggressive lobbying. There are so many examples, but one is the fourth largest privately- owned company in the United States, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, which originated as one of the biggest accounting companies in America.

Federal contracting is big business, governed by dozens of federal statutes enacted by Congress, explained in dozens of legal volumes that can be found in every law library across the nation. Federal policy as provided in that governing law is based on the concept of “competitive bidding,” because as the most rudimentary economics shows, better results in terms of price and quality are obtained by competition rather than by monopoly.

But if a company is a crony favored by contacts, friends, or relatives of company employees, or of lobbyists working for the company, that company can get “sole-source contracts” or even sole source grants, not subject to any competition. The money flows just when the contact, friend or relative working inside of some contracting government agency signs on the dotted line, giving away some share of the federal government’s trillions in annual spending.

Frau Merkel: Nation States MUST “Give Up Sovereignty” to New World Order

Nation states must today be prepared to give up their sovereignty”, according to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who told an audience in Berlin that sovereign nation states must not listen to the will of their citizens when it comes to questions of immigration, borders, or even sovereignty.
Merkel has previously accused critics of the UN Global Compact for Safe and Orderly Migration of not being patriotic, saying “That is not patriotism, because patriotism is when you include others in German interests and accept win-win situations”.

Her words echo recent comments by the deeply unpopular French President Emmanuel Macron who stated in a Remembrance Day speech that “patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism [because] nationalism is treason.”

Democrats: A plague on the nation

These people, these Democrats in Congress, are among the most privileged persons on the planet. They have enjoyed, more than most, the blessings bequeathed by the Founders, the authors of the Constitution. Yet they are determined, like Obama, to transform us into something this nation was never meant to be: a land without borders. While all of them are on record supporting a border wall in the past, now that Donald Trump is president, they all oppose it with every fiber of their being. They know that it will work, and they cannot abide Trump having a win.
They cheated in 2016 and are still stunned that their carefully calculated strategy did not work – thus, the cover-up, AKA the Mueller investigation, of their many crimes committed over the Obama years, many at the direction of Hillary Clinton with Obama’s knowledge and approval. Our once most revered institutions, the DOJ, the FBI, and the CIA, have been thoroughly corrupted. Mueller, a willing participant in that corruption, is up to his eyeballs in the cover-up.

Will any of these people at the DOJ, the FBI, and the CIA, ever be held accountable? To date, they have not been. The power they have within the Deep State is beyond formidable; it is seemingly absolute.

The Democratic Party of today is an abomination. The assault on our constitutional republic began with Woodrow Wilson, and their long-range plan to overhaul what the Founders built is still operational. The left has nothing but contempt for ordinary Americans, especially those who voted for Trump.

Leftists are dangerous when challenged, like a pack of jackals dismembering its prey. They need to be defeated, indicted, arrested, tried, convicted, and imprisoned. They are a scourge on the nation as founded. They do not love this country; they seek to destroy all that was and is good within it.

Never Say Never

Tomorrow is the end of the year. It would be a fitting time to also be the end of my posting here. The entire American political situation is a farce, albeit a tragic one on the people who hold our rights as a sovereign nation sacred.Donald J. Trump is a generational figure we may not see twice in a lifetime. He stands firm in the face of scurrilous attacks on his character, outrageous verbal assaults on his wife and children and his supporters suffer mindless violence just because some sick animals feel like hurting somebody. He has borne more lies, slander and defamation than any president ever has or likely will have. All because he won an election that was completely rigged for Hillary Clinton.
He’ll fight hard;that’s just how he is.He gave up an idyllic lifestyle as a billionaire reality TV star to withstand the savagery of a cabal of hate mongering pricks who want to destroy him. They may get him in 2020,it may take until 2024 but they will get him. There will be no one after him with the balls to stand up to a fraction of what he’s been made to put up with.
At that point they will be free to set about their scheme for a One World government with the united Nations being the arbiter of all things.I just can’t continue to read and report on the screaming banshee Nasty Pelousy and her equally deranged cohorts trying to make each day a living hell for Donald Trump. The media will never relent. He’ll get credit for nothing and blame for everything. We know it’s all bullshit but it’s not aimed at us. It’s aimed at the single digit I.Q. thumbsuckers and bedwetters who want to believe the worst at all times. They all want blood but they can’t explain why.
There may be a time when I have the will to take part in the discussion that comes to no resolution. one must never say “never”.

2018_12 29 Works by Faith

2018_12 26 FrontPage Sarah Sanders

OH NOES THE SHUTDOWN: President Trump canceled his Christmas trip to Mar-a-Lago to work during the shutdown, but Pelosi jet-setted to Hawaii while 800,000 government employees are currently not working. Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters was spotted partying in the Bahamas. Democrats are blaming President Trump for the shutdown, saying he’s acting like a spoiled child. But when he offered a compromise, they turned him down flat.

RUH ROH: President Donald Trump on Friday issued an executive order which would halt a planned 2.1 percent pay increase for federal government workers, something that is done automatically. Currently, about 800,000 federal employees are on furlough or working without pay because of the partial government shutdown. The only workers who are exempt from the blanket order are members of the military who are scheduled to receive a 2.6 percent pay raise

2018_12 25 FLOTUS class

TRIP WAS UNANNOUNCED: Why would you want to tell the enemy that POTUS is coming?Former Secret Service agent, Dan Bongino, says, “Dear Libs, Presidential trips to conflict zones are NOT scheduled days in advance. They’re scheduled weeks in advance with advance teams on the ground up to 1-2 weeks prior. Your dopey suggestion that Trump took this Iraq trip in response to your criticisms this week is just dumb.”

ACOSTA’S TAKE: “O.M.G. Trump signed hats!” — The reality: Troops cheered Trump. Wildly. And the hats? They belonged to the soldiers who ASKED him to sign. Not like Obama, who had free cameras distributed to the troops he deigned to visit AND who handed out White House challenge coins to soldiers while he was actively campaigning.

TRUMP’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS: What the media has ignored over the past two years — It’s a looooong list! Way too much to reproduce here!

2018_12 28 Ronil Singh

COP KILLER ARRESTED: He’s a known gang member — Police have arrested the illegal suspected of murdering California Police Corporal Ronil Singh. Word has it that the shooting happened when Singh stopped the thug on a suspected DUI. Wait, wut? I thought Nancy told us that we’re all SAFER if we have no border, cuz immigrants just want a better life.

2018_12 29 Singh Sanctuary State

DEMS SUCK: A majority of the Democrats in Congress tweeted about the recent and unavoidable deaths of two children while in Border Patrol custody. Not one of them tweeted about the vicious murder of a California police officer by an illegal with known gang affiliation.

2018_12 28 Trump tweet

SHERIFFS WANT THE WALL: A group of sheriffs from around the country recently called on Congress to pass at least $5 billion toward building a wall along the 2,000-mile southwest border. —

The No. 1 issue facing all Americans, I don’t care who you ask, is the heroin epidemic that affects us all. And the Mexican drug-trafficking cartels dominate that industry and they’re controlling it coming into and throughout the United States. … I’m tired of dealing with overdoses. I’m tired of dealing with violent crime. I’m tired of dealing with human trafficking. … We’re making arrests all the time, but they keep coming and they keep coming because our borders are wide open.”

2018_12 29 You don't have a right

VIDEO: Language warning! — It seems like this stuff keeps happening, yet I cannot remember even a single instance of a right-winger insulting, refusing service, or oughtright assaulting ANYone who was wearing an Obama t-shirt or hat. Can any of you? Yet WE’RE THE HATERS?! I. Don’t. Think. So.

2018_12 29 Xhale City

CLIMATE HYPOCRISY: “Do as we say, not as we do” The New York Times published an editorial Wednesday lamenting President Donald Trump’s reversal of Obama-era climate policies. The New York Times flew wealthy readers around the world in a private jet for $135,000 a piece.

REALLY FAKE NEWS: The German weekly Der Spiegel, one of the top-selling publications in Europe, is reeling from a scandal that revealed that star reporter, Claas Relotius, has been making up his “news” stories for years.

2018_12 29 10 weeks 4 days

GOOD RIDDANCE: An abortuary with multiple health code violations is now closed — Whole Woman’s Health of San Antonio, which was aborting unborn babies up to 17.6 weeks, was part of a larger Texas-based abortion chain that has amassed dozens of health and safety violations at its facilities. In 2012, they were caught illegally dumping aborted babies’ body parts. In 2013, they were cited for dozens of health violations, including problems with the sterilization of abortion instruments, lack of an RN or LVN on staff, rusty suction machines and expired and unlabeled medications. In 2017, they were cited for the same problems, including reusing instruments on multiple women without sterilizing and disinfecting them in between.

PROGRESSIVE ECONOMICS: New York’s Mayor Bill De Blasio urged New Yorkers not to patronize a Chick-fil-A that opened up in the city, but he’s going to hire people to pick up dirty needles that junkies leave lying around. Cuz golly gee whiz, those people who have just shot themselves full of whatever crap they use to avoid living in the real world rudely leave their used equipment on the ground rather than carrying it to the handy needle disposal bins the city’s tax payers provided for them. Who woulda thunk?

PROGRESSIVE EATING: How do you know someone’s a vegan? — Just wait two minutes and they’ll tell you. But hey, it turns out you can’t be white AND a woke vegan, because Americans are neocolonialist tools who have destroyed the diets of the native peoples who used to be able to afford tofu and quinoa. Or something.

I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP: Organizers of the Women’s March in Humboldt County, California, announced Friday that they have canceled the local Jan. 19 event because the marchers are overwhelmingly white.

WAIT, WUT?: On September 20, 2016, Kellogg Community College in Michigan arrested three people for handing out copies of the Constitution on campus. Yes, you read that right…the Constitution, the very document that protects free speech. Only now, a year and four months after the arrests and after a full year of litigation, has KCC finally be forced by the court to change its ridiculous speech policy.

NO, NO, AND NO: California is about to implement new sex education lessons that promote abortion and homosexuality. At least one school district has told parents they will NOT be allowed to opt out of having their children attend.

2018_12 29 Helium

DO BRAIN WORK FIRST THING: According to psychologist Ron Friedman, the first three hours of your day are your most precious for maximized productivity.  “Typically, we have a window of about three hours where we’re really, really focused. We’re able to have some strong contributions in terms of planning, in terms of thinking, in terms of speaking well.”

2018_12 29 Garfield Advent

I’M NOT THE WORST MOTHER IN THE WORLD AFTER ALL: I used to tell my kids I was whenever they complained about my rules — Alissa Evans, 9, had complained that her advent calendar chocolates tasted funny but her mother, Jess Evans, assumed she was just being picky so Alissa ate the candy each day … for ELEVEN days. Then Mommy Dearest read the front “Advent calendar for cats with Yogurt and Catnip Flavour Treats.” Whoops! But wait … an Advent calendar for cats?

Played For Fools Again

House probe of FBI-DOJ’s alleged anti-Trump, pro-Clinton bias hits unceremonious end — with no report

House Republicans unceremoniously ended their investigation into the way the FBI and the Department of Justice handled Hillary Clinton’s email scandal and the bias allegations against President Trump.

The letter came less than a week before the Republicans formally lose control of the House to Democrats, while both Gowdy and Goodlatte are retiring from politics.

The Democrats have long criticized the Republican-led probe as a distraction from Mueller’s Russia investigation, with U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, a California Democrat who sits on the House Intelligence Committee, taunting Republicans for their unceremonious end of the probe.

“This is how the House Republican effort to undermine Mueller by ‘investigating the investigators’ ends. Not with a bang, but with a Friday, buried-in-the-holidays whimper, and one foot out the door,” he wrote in a tweet.

The Problem Is Not Spending,Senator

Sen. Durbin Urges Trump to Reduce ‘Shootings and Homicides’ in Chicago by Increasing Federal Spending

Shootings and homicides are a byproduct of the environment of ignorance and violence you assholes have been cultivating since the 60s.The only answer to any perceived problem you can dream up is to throw more money at it. Chicago’s problems are all due to the democrats who have run this urban toilet for more than 70 years.

“The number of shootings and homicides that Chicago continues to experience is tragic and unacceptable,” Durbin told Trump.

“But while it may be easy to tweet about the problem, generating real and measurable solutions to help Chicago reduce gun violence requires more than 140 characters,” Durbin said. “Reducing violence in Chicago requires a comprehensive approach involving partnerships with local education and health officials, law enforcement, community stakeholders, and the federal government.”

Connecticut ‘Mall Brawl’ Involving Hundreds Of Youths Yields 4 Arrests: 3 Adults And 1 Teen, Police Say

Three adults, ages 18, 18, and 19, and a juvenile, age 17, were arrested inside the mall and charged with breach of peace, interfering with officers, and inciting a riot. The adults were 19-year-old Dynastee McCoy from Wethersfield, 18-year-old Inaija Williams from Hartford, and 18-year-old Naejza Bares from New Britain, according to police.

Police said the 17-year-old refused to leave after the riot had broken up, and was given an additional charge of criminal trespassing. The teen was also carrying a .22-caliber handgun without a permit for which he was charged, police said.
