JOYLESS: My news feed regularly includes ridiculous crap that Joy Behar has spouted on The View. I’ve decided to include her in my “Who Cares” file, along with Barack, Michelle, Hillary, Algore, Rosie, and Cher.
SOUR GRAPES: Republican Brian Kemp is ahead by about 18,000 votes in the Georgia gubernatorial race. Democrat Stacey Abrams admits he won, but refuses to concede. She wants a new vote based on a Georgia election law that allows losing candidates to challenge results based on “misconduct, fraud or irregularities … sufficient to change or place in doubt the results.” That’s rich! All the voter fraud we’ve seen has been perpetrated by HER party. IOW, her big gripe is that Georgia Democrats didn’t cheat good enough to get her into office. For the record, Abrams never had more votes than Kemp. Not before the recount and not after. This will not stop the Democrat Truthers from adding Abrams to Gore and Hillary in their Whiner’s Hall of Fame.
VOTER FRAUD: A day after Florida’s election left top state races too close to call, a Democratic party leader directed staffers and volunteers to share altered election forms with voters to “fix signature problems on absentee ballots.” The forms listed a date later than the state’s actual deadline. These altered forms surfaced in Broward, Santa Rosa, Citrus and Okaloosa counties and were reported to federal prosecutors to review for possible election fraud. An email obtained by the USA TODAY NETWORK – Florida shows that Florida Democrat party leaders provided staffers with these forms BEFORE THE ELECTION along with step-by-step instructions for getting as many voters as possible to print out, sign, and submit them if the election didn’t go their way.
JUDICIARY COMMITTEE: Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is moving over to chair the Finance Committee. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) will take over for him as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Graham, a close ally of President Trump, made headlines this fall with a forceful denunciation of Democrats during Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
ASIA BIBI: Cases like hers are why the West created asylum laws. So why isn’t the UK doing more to grant asylum to a persecuted Pakistani Christian? For the same reason that this woman is being threatened with death. Anti-Christian Muslim extremism. Great Britain has allowed so many intolerant Muslims to immigrate that they now fear what would happen if they give this Christian woman asylum.
FAKE NEWS: CNN’s headline makes it sound like both Democrat Kihuen and Republican Meadows were harassers. But the fact is that ONLY Democrat Kihuen was a harasser. Republican Meadows believed, respected, and protected the woman when she reported that his STAFFER had sexually harassed her. Just one more example of why we HATE CNN.
IMMIGRATION and JOBS: You know what we need? SKILLED workers. You know what’s in the caravan of “gimme gimme no borders for America” invaders? UNSKILLED workers. Trump wants to reform immigration to give priority to people who have the skills to fill the empty jobs we’ve got here. Democrats just want more welfare voters.
CRICKETS: Some drunken butthead stood up and shouted “Heil Hitler! Heil Trump” during a Baltimore performance of “Fiddler on the Roof.” Trump Haters made the news viral as they decried our “Nazi-emboldening” president. When the news that the drunk in question HATES TRUMP was tweeted out, 57 people retweeted it.
SECOND AMENDMENT: On November 2, 2018, the First Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Second Amendment, which ensures “the right of the people to keep and bear arms”, does not apply outside the home. So yeah. You can “bear” your guns, just so long as you don’t do it outside. Sheesh. It used to be that nudity and one’s sexual preferences were supposed to be “only at home” things. Now they’re flaunted on the streets while the ACTUAL right to bear arms is being shoved inside.
SOCIALISM IS IMMORAL: Allie debunks socialism in just two minutes. This is good!
SOCIALISM and COMMUNISM: “Of all the disturbing developments in culture and ideas over the last several years—including violence against legitimate authority, violence against the average citizen, and violence against the very ideas that undergird the West—few have been more disturbing than the reemergence of communism and socialism. Why is this happening?”
WEIGHT LOSS: “People have a hard time believing that weight control isn’t just a matter of calories eaten and calories burned. But there is an alternate hypothesis about obesity, which is what my group studies. The carbohydrate-insulin model argues that overeating isn’t the underlying cause of long-term weight gain. Instead, it’s the biological process of gaining weight that causes us to overeat. Our findings suggest that a more effective strategy to lose weight over the long term is to focus on cutting processed carbohydrates, not calories. ,,, Participants in the low (20%) carbohydrate group burned on average about 250 calories a day more than those in the high (60%) carbohydrate group, just as predicted by the carbohydrate-insulin model. [With no change in food intake], that difference would produce substantial weight loss — about 20 pounds after a few years. If a low-carbohydrate diet also curbs hunger and food intake (as other studies suggest it can), the effect could be even greater. “
IT’S LIKE RIDING A BIKE: Long-term memory is divided into two types: procedural and declarative.
- Procedural memories are related to procedures or skills we learn to perform.
- Declarative memories are events and facts we are aware of knowing and can declare (i.e., communicate) to others.
Procedural memories are more resistant than declarative memories to loss. IOW, we may not be able to remember all the capitals of the world that we memorized in grade school, but we pretty much never forget how to ride a bike.
DOG VIDEO: I agree that the initial image in this six second video is really disturbing. But watch it. You’ll be so glad you did. The end is LOLOL.
