Bits & Bytes

GRAMMY REPORT: Happy 37th birthday to Mama Buzz (today) and 9th birthday to Lil Buzz (yesterday). Dearest, Army Princess, and Grandbabygirl left around noon today to beat the blizzard. Daisey and I are tired. But what a great way to get tired, right? Dearest won’t be back until Tuesday morning, so we have lots of time to catch up on our rest.

TODDLER JIM: A federal District Court Judge in D.C., Timothy Kelly, heard two hours of argument today on the motion for a temporary restraining order requested by CNN and Jim Acosta regarding his White House “hard pass.” He intends to announce his decision tomorrow. The tweets Legal Insurrection posted suggest Kelly was underwhelmed by CNN’s arguments.

TUCKER CARLSON: “Call CNN what you will. But don’t pretend they’re defenders of the First Amendment.” This interview with Victor Davis Hanson is well worth watching.

STORMY’S LAWYER: Michael Avenatti, the attorney for Stormy Daniels, has been arrested for domestic violence. Avenatti, who has publicly speculated about a presidential run in 2020, says he is “confident that I will be fully exonerated.” Wait, what? Aren’t we all supposed to #BelieveTheWoman these days? Back when Brett Kavanaugh was being slimed by baseless accusations against him, Michael Avenatti was perfectly fine with flipping due process the bird. But since landing in the hot seat himself, he’s had a change of heart.

BOMBARD BODY LANGUAGE: Michael Avenatti Speech Arrested Released on Bail

CARAVAN INVASION: The Left says, “Don’t believe your eyes.” Denying reality is what they do. I am inclined to cite the Emperor’s New Clothes, but the idea of Nancy Pelosi in the buff is just too mind bleachy. I don’t understand AT ALL how “removing the border between the U.S. and Mexico” would work. Is Mexico going to cede sovereignty to us? Will Trump become their president too? If U.S. citizens decide to wander around Mexico without a visa or identification will they no longer be arrested? I’m thinking what they’re really talking about is not “no border between the U.S. and Mexico”, but a one-way border that protects Mexico’s sovereignty while totally eliminating ours.

CLASSY LEFTIST PROTESTERS: Ben Shapiro spoke at Ohio State this week and was protested, as usual. In case you had any doubts about the Left’s utter lack of anything good, just listen to what they were chanting.

#NEVERNANCY: Seventeen House Democrats have signed a letter vowing that they will not vote for Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House. Unless Democrats “find” some more ballots, they will hold about 227 seats in the House next year, so if these 17 stick to their pledge, she could lack the necessary 218 votes needed to retake the gavel.

GOP LEADERSHIP: House Republicans have selected Kevin McCarthy to be the Minority Leader, 159-43. Steve Scalise, who was shot on a baseball field last year, unanimously won re-election to the No. 2 spot as whip. Liz Cheney will be GOP conference chairman.

FINAL PUSH: House Republicans still have the majority until January 3, and they’re hoping to make the most of it with key votes on the border wall and possibly more tax cuts.

KAMALA HARRIS: During the nomination hearing for Ronald Vitello to be director of ICE, Democrat Senator Kamala Harris talked to him like she was a mommy taking her naughty little boy step-by-step through what he had done and why it was wrong. Then she compared ICE to the KKK, which had just been likened to a terrorist group. The KKK? Really? That’s going to come as a surprise to ICE’s majority non-white work force.

DEMOCRATS HATE RELIGION: Tomorrow marks the 25th anniversary of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), which was signed into law by President Bill Clinton. Back then only 3 lawmakers voted against the legislation, but today over 170 House Democrats publicly back a bill which would effectively gut the RFRA.

OUCH: Now that I’ve got my new puter up and running, I’m happily able to play SCRABBLE again. My current opponents are Frankly the Nut and Mama Buzz. This was my rack yesterday. :0P

PEOPLE ARE AWESOME! This is really fun. 🙂

Hate Him, Hate Her

Melania ‘just a former model,’ too dumb to make staff decisions, CNN panel implies in head-spinning segment

When in business to subvert the President of the United States, one must seize on any and all opportunities and that’s just what occurred Tuesday when CNN’s Jake Tapper and a merry band of Trump-bashers went into full pearl-clutching mode after first lady Melania Trump’s office released a public statement saying deputy national security adviser Mira Ricardel “no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House.”

After all, a “former model” can’t possible hold an opinion that’s substantive.

Looking past the fact that Tapper and his panel have no idea of the backstory at play here, it’s not like first ladies don’t wield significant influence. Nancy Reagan? Hillary Clinton? The only difference is that when it’s a Democrat, the first lady is propped up in the media as a strong, independent woman.

The Shoe Is On The Other Foot

Under his rules, you are guilty unless you can prove you’re innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Michael Avenatti arrested on felony domestic violence charges

Anti-Trump attorney Michael Avenatti was arrested Wednesday on charges of felony domestic violence that reportedly left the woman with a “swollen and bruised” face.

The lawyer for porn star Stormy Daniels and one of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s less-credible accusers was taken into custody Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.

“We can confirm that today LAPD Detectives arrested Michael Avenatti on suspicion of domestic violence. This is an ongoing investigation and we will provide more details as they become available,” the L.A.P.D. wrote on its official Twitter account.

No Contest…The Fix Was In

From the minute Paul Ryan announced he would not run again, his friend and fellow RINO, Kevin McCarthy was pre-ordained to be the minority leader. Jim Jordan is a conservative. They are not welcome in the GOP leadership. Only those who will put up token resistance to being steamrolled by democrats, even when they’re in the minority but act like they care for their voters are permitted.

Kevin McCarthy Beats Jim Jordan for House Leadership

California Congressman Kevin McCarthy has defeated Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan for House Minority Leader in the new Congress. McCarthy currently serves as House Majority Leader, which will change in January after Democrats took control of the lower chamber on Election Day

Stealing Elections In Plain Sight

Why Democrats Would Dare to Steal Elections in Plain Sight

The brazenness of the theft is astounding. Democrat election officials in Arizona and Florida, not finding the will of the people to their liking, are manufacturing a will of the people of their own. In Florida, they’re miraculously finding ballots — overwhelmingly votes for Democrats, of course — that were somehow inexplicably overlooked on election day. In Arizona, the Republican Party has accused Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes of “premeditated destruction of evidence” leading to “voting irregularities.”
The Left is doing this out in the open to send a message:

There is nothing you can do. We will win. If we lose, we will cheat. We will lie. We will steal. And there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that you can do about it.

If the Democrats pull this off, they will have shown conservatives — and the world — that nothing could stop them. The governor of Florida couldn’t stop them. The courts couldn’t stop them. President Trump himself, who has been commenting repeatedly on Twitter about the theft, couldn’t stop them.

Just Go Away,Jeff

This little turd has about six weeks before we’re finally rid of him. He’s determined to make a complete ass of himself in the meantime. I still say he ends up being the “republican on MSDNC.”

Jeff Flake Is Messing With Judicial Confirmations Again

Outgoing GOP Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona will not vote to advance or confirm any judicial nominees until the Senate enacts legislation protecting special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

“I have informed the Majority Leader that I will not vote to advance any of the 21 judicial nominees pending in the Judiciary Committee, or vote to confirm the 32 judges awaiting a confirmation vote on the floor, until S. 2644 is brought to the full Senate for a vote,” Flake said in a Wednesday floor speech, referring to the Special Counsel Independence and Integrity Act.

Cuomo Pretends to Be Tim Russert

Cuomo tries to help Brenda Snipes redeem herself with a CNN interview. He didn’t expect her to make it worse!

CNN likely regrets giving a platform to the Florida elections official under fire for ballot recounts after her interview just seemed to make things worse.

Snipes has repeatedly dodged appeals to divulge the number of outstanding votes, despite Scott’s demands, an order by a judge last week and the state’s law. Her response to Cuomo’s questions about why she’s ignoring the law led Snipes on a rabbit trail in response.

“But you have rules that you’re supposed to abide by and transparency that is very important. You refused to give the Scott campaign the information they wanted. It had to go to court. The judge said you had to turn it over, you didn’t turn it over by the deadline that was given,” Cuomo said. “That is cast as a partisan spat, that you’re doing that because you’re a Democrat. How do you respond to that?”

Can’t Say I Blame Him

He’s been treated with savagery and ridicule since the day he was elected. Why would he go someplace to be mocked and insulted? He has better things to do.

President Trump to Skip Kennedy Center Honors for 2nd Straight Year

A former head of the National Endowment for the Arts, which oversees the nominating process for the arts medal, said he was dismayed.

“The current administration’s disregard for culture and scholarship, as well as presidential tradition, is an embarrassment,” Dana Gioia, chairman of the NEA from 2003 to 2009, told the AP.

Trump is expected to attend the G20 summit in Argentina at the end of the month. Had he gone to the Kennedy Center, it’s unlikely he would have been warmly welcomed by at least some of the honorees, who include Cher and “Hamilton” playwright Lin-Manuel Miranda, both sharp critics of the president.

Last year, honoree Norman Lear said he would boycott the event if Trump was there. The White House then announced the president and first lady would not be going “to allow the honorees to celebrate without any political distraction.”

Don’t Hold You Breath

Court Rules Hillary Clinton Must Answer Key Questions About Her Private Server

At this point, what difference does it make? She won’t remember anything.

In 2016, Hillary Clinton was required to submit, under oath, written answers to Judicial Watch’s questions. Clinton objected to and refused to answer questions about the creation of her email system; her decision to use the system despite warnings from State Department cybersecurity officials; and the basis for her claim that the State Department had “90-95%” of her emails. Judge Sullivan is considering Judicial Watch’s motion to compel answers to these questions.

In her responses sent to Judicial Watch and the court on October 13, 2016, Clinton refused to answer three questions and responded that she “does not recall” 20 times concerning her non-government clintonemail.com email system. She preceded her responses by eight “general objections” and two “objections to definitions.” The words “object” or “objection” appear 84 times throughout the 23-page document submitted to the court and Judicial Watch.

Well Organized, Well Funded

Filmmaker Ami Horowitz: The Caravan is ‘Highly Organized,’ ‘Paid for by a Number of Organizations’

“Approximately 90 to 95% of the migrants are male.

One of the lies the fake news if you will, media is trying to propagate is the fact that all this weird organic thing and all the water and the food and medicine, all dropped from … manna from heaven. It’s bologna. It’s all highly organized. It’s paid for by a number of organizations, we don’t know exactly where the money is coming from.”

They’re coming here for one reason and one reason only. To take jobs to send money back to their own country while living free on the largesse of the American taxpayer. here is only one effective way to stop them. Treat them as foreign invaders our military has been sworn to protect our nation from. Deadly force is the only thing they understand.

Latino turnout up 174% in 2018 midterms elections, Democrats say

“Latino voters played a pivotal role in taking back the House,” Luján said on a conference call hosted by the Latino Victory Fund, a political action committee. He said the Latino vote was especially consequential in a handful of House races across demographically diverse Sun Belt battlegrounds: Nevada, Arizona, Florida and Texas.
