Theaters Abandon Gosnell Movie

This was highly predictable.

253 Theaters Drop ‘Gosnell’ Amid Media Blackout to Defend ‘Sacrament’ of Abortion

“This movie really exposes something that the Left does not want to report about,” Nick Searcy, the film’s director, told PJ Media in an interview Tuesday. “They’re basically trying to ignore this movie. They’re trying to say that it doesn’t exist because they don’t want to have a discussion about abortion.”

Searcy argued that abortion is tantamount to a “sacrament” on the Left, so any story that paints it in a bad light must be silenced

CtH: For Satan worshipers, abortion actually is a sacrament.

  1. I’m of two minds about the Gosnell movie. We rarely go to movies. I’d like to support them, as opposed to ripping them off from the Internet borrowing a friend’s copy as I do with most movies. I already know what it’s about in gruesome detail, but I would like to see this collaboration by Klaven and Cain, two folks whose work I respect.

Mostly, when these great movies (many of which have been mentioned here on PoliNation) come around, I kinda wish we had a theatrical venue where we could regularly feature these underrated, underpromoted works. I’d imagine there’s a market here in the buckle of the Bible belt.

  2. Wikipedia threatened deletion of Gosnell movie entry, but backed down.
