CNN Deems Kanye a “Token Negro”

They can get away with that…they’re liberals.

CNN Panel Calls Kanye West ‘Token Negro,’ Mocks Mental Health Issues

“Kanye West is what happens when negroes don’t read, and we have this now,” Sellers said. “And now Donald Trump is going to use it and pervert it, and he’s going to have somebody who can stand with him and take pictures.”

“Listen, black folks are about to trade Kanye West in the racial draft, okay?” Setmayer joked. “They’ve had it with him.”

CNN Panel Calls Kanye West ‘Token Negro,’ Mocks Mental Health Issues: Can you imagine if we said this about a black who supports Democrats?!

And who are they kidding with “Kanye West is what happens when negroes don’t read,”! Democrat ghettos are what happens when black folks don’t read. That’s WHY Democrats make sure ghetto schools are terrible.

Oh, can we say “Negro” again? I didn’t get that memo. I mean, I know “Negro” hasn’t got the onus of, say, the Forbidden Nword, but, since back when we were supposed to say “African Americans,” the term “Negro,” like “colored,” has been sort of been being retired from service. (United Negro College Fund and NAACP notwithstanding.)

But I guess if a Negro engages in wrong-think, anything goes. When do we go back to “darkies”? Having grown up in the semi-South in the middle of the last century, I’ve got a few other now-obscure racial terms we could revive….

So much rancor over one plantation escapee. One might almost think it’s as if the Regressive Party Media wants to “put y’all back in chains.”

    • Lest we forget: Jesse Jackson was the one who decreed that Americans with darker-than-average skin who at least appear to have descended from slaves — formerly known as “blacks,” and before that “Afro-Americans,” and before that “negroes” or “colored people” — were to be called “African Americans.” I have never used the term African American, either as a noun or an adjective, because I don’t take orders from Jesse Jackson.

      • Was that Jesse brought us “African Americans?”

The problem with “Afro American” was that not all of them wear ‘fros. [rimshot]

I’m always amused at the commentators – like James T Harris – who reject this divisive labeling, saying, “I’m not an African American, although I’m an American of African descent, I’m an American.” 👍

Y’know what I hate? When I can’t figure out from context if the abbreviation AA means African American, Affirmative Action. Or Alcoholics Anonymous. At least we know it won’t be American Airlines anymore.
