Bits & Bytes

MASCOTS: My mother-in-law turned 98 this past week-end, so there was a family reunion birthday party for her in Dearest’s home town. Mama Buzz took the little Buzzers. Among other things, they got to explore Nonno’s home and home town, see his elementary school and all the places where he and his sibs played when they were growing up and where Mama Buzz and her sisters played when they visited Grandma and Grandfather.

DERSHOWITZ: Long-time defender of civil rights weighs in on Ford’s demands.

Alan Dershowitz: Every civil libertarian in the country, liberal, conservative, Republican, Democrat, led by the Civil Libertarian Union should be outraged by this demand. It is so un-American. You’re the accuser. You get on the witness stand. You testify. You make your accusation. You get cross-examined. THEN the accused responds. It turns the entire legal system on its head. It is INSANE to ask an accused person to deny the accusation before he has heard the accusation being made and cross-examined. Sure, the FBI should continue its background check. It should also call everyone else who may have been at this party. All of that is true. But the idea that he goes first? I want to hear from the American Civil Liberties Union. Where are they? This is the most fundamental denial of due process.

KAVANAUGH: Three named witnesses have now denied they were even at the alleged high school party where Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh allegedly pinned Christine then-Blasey now-Ford to an alleged bed when he was allegedly drunk, then allegedly covered her mouth and allegedly tried to remove her clothing. The latest is someone who claims to have been one of Ford’s besties for practically ever.

2d ACCUSER: A second liar, I mean Democrat, I mean woman has accused Brett Kavanaugh of inappropriate sexual behavior, this time in college … while she was blind drunk … and only after she had been coached for six days to “remember” the incident … which witnesses deny ever happened.

PROJECT VERITAS: The second installment in an undercover video series unmasking the deep state  features DOJ and HHS employees reportedly using government-owned software and computers to push the “Resistance” and their socialist agenda.

COOKING HACKS: There are some really clever, easy ideas in this video.

HBD to theyhyphenated mom-in-law from some stranger on the web – whose mom is also 98 – and aren’t they amazing!

Meanwhile… besides the 2nd accuser, I think I read (sorry no link) that Ford’s lawyer now has a “victim” who says Kavanaugh was running a drugged-out gang-rape ring – at some unspecified place and or time, probably with Bill Cosby.

    What all these accusations deserve:

    • Had this splinter itching in my head, telling me I’d erred somewhere. Found it. Unless I’m erring again…

I said Ford’s lawyer. I meant Avanetti, the porno gal’s lawyer.

“…besides the 2nd accuser… Sloppy Daniels’ lawyer Avanetti now has a ‘victim’ who says Kavanaugh was running a drugged-out gang-rape ring – at some unspecified place and or time, probably with Bill Cosby.”

Now I’m reading on Ace that some anonymous tipster claims to have “catfished” Avanetti, got him to offer up to $35K plus fame and gofundme riches, before figuring out it’s a trick, admitting he had no one, and canceling his Twitter account. (repeat previous laugh clip)

  2. I was watching that last video when my three-year-old grandson popped in for a visit. He loves kitchen gadgets and anything having to do with food preparation, so he climbed up onto my lap to watch it. He carried on a running commentary, talking about how smart the person was who did all those cool things, and when we got to the end, he immediately asked if we could watch it again!

Budding chef? 🙂 I think this was the video that suggested onion to keep avocado from browning. We tried it with our guacamole and it works a treat!

      • He’s really into culinary arts. If I’m working in the kitchen, he sits on the counter and helps me. Other times he plays with a cute little wooden kitchen that I got when my kids were little. I bought him a bunch of kid-sized pots and pans and cooking utensils, and a really cute little tin tea set–tea kettle, cups, saucers, etc.–so we can have tea parties. 🙂

Mama Buzz bought a set of kid-safe knives that cut fruits and veg, but not kids. This week-end, Bunny and Bootz helped her cut up apples for sauce. Amazon has a bunch of different sets.
