TALK WITH TOTS: A study published this week in Pediatrics found that toddlers with parents who spend lots of time listening and chatting with them are more likely to have better language skills and higher IQs a decade later than youngsters left hanging in silence.

2018_09 11 Fist bumpFAKE NEWS: President Donald Trump delivered a double fist pump as he walked away from Air Force One on Tuesday, en route to a 9/11 memorial ceremony at the Flight 93 crash site in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Critics immediately attacked the move as “disrespectful.”

But a National Guardsman who was THERE said the gesture was taken totally out of context.

“The POTUS landed at our Johnstown flight facility, a military installation owned by the Reserves and the National Guard and well, prior to his arrival, we were allowed to gather in this designated area to greet him prior to his boarding a helicopter and flying to the Flight 93 memorial service.”

The service member, who asked to remain anonymous, told TheDC that the double fist pump was a greeting to the gathered crowd, which included a number of members of the military and their families and supporters.

“As he approached us soldiers, marines, and airmen, many were shouting and waving at him. That is when he did the ‘double fist pump’ — he was genuinely happy to say hello and shake hands, and you could tell he was proud to be greeted by ‘his’ military members.”

2018_09 14 PinocchiObama

AP FACT CHECKS BHO?! The Associated Press fact checked Obama’s claim that he “never threatened to shut” down media outlets or “call them enemies of the people” and reported — shockingly — that Barack Obama “doesn’t always tell the straight story.”

The facts are that the Obama administration enthusiastically targeted journalists and others with the 1917 Espionage Act, prosecuting more people for leaking sensitive information to the public than all previous administrations combined.

As part of that effort, Obama’s Justice Department even dug into confidential communications between news organizations and their sources, something that is supposed to be sacrosanct.

Maybe the glow of Teh Won’s halo dimmed for AP when one Obama-era espionage dragnet included 20 of their own.

2018_09 Not tired by Branco

ENERGY SELF-SUFFICIENT: U.S. crude oil production is now about double what it was just eight years ago and has now exceeded that of Saudi Arabia and Russia. For some reason that totally escapes me, Leftists think that U.S. oil production is evil. I think it’s far better for us to control how production processes affect the planet and not put our economic well-being in the hands of nations that hate us. But that’s just me.

2018_09 Socialism clothes

FLASHBACK: Remember when the Left made a HUGE stink about what a hypocrite Sarah “hockey mom” Palin was for “allowing” the McCain campaign to buy $150,000 worth of clothes for her? She didn’t even want them, but no matter. I’m not holding my breath waiting on the New York Times to out Ms. Socialism on her wardrobe choices.

2018_09 Insanity by Branco

SPEAKING OF INSANITY: After posting a powerful denunciation of abortion on Twitter, PJ Media contributor and Fox News guest Denise McAllister received rape and death threats over multiple forms of private communication.

ALIVE: A group of Chilean mothers gave their preborn children a voice by strapping fetal monitors to their stomachs and broadcasting their babies’ heartbeats with megaphones. Video at URL.

  1. Who’s that hippie in the picture up top?

    Sorry. Couldn’t resist. Wellll, I could’ve but didn’t.

Nice picture. Thanks. Jesus (s’poseda be Jesus, right? 🙂 ) had a few occasions to take off for fasting and prayer, so I read, but once he began his public work, he didn’t get a lot of time for, well, what the picture shows. I’d like to think he had many chances to enjoy life in such ways before that. It’s peaceful.

The two Branco cartoons – not tired of winning is something I read someone comment at least once a day. Branco must’ve been thin on ideas. But funny to see the wilted donkey. The other one was excellent, though. What an assemblage of lunacy. It’s funny but it’s not because it’s true that’s how they are. Ahhhhhhggg!
