Sorry to be gone for so long! I was nursing my latest flare up. But I’ve got a LOT of stuff below to make it all up to you. 🙂
TRUMP’S LEADERSHIP: Member nations of NATO have pledged their “unwavering commitment” to increase defense funding. This is a victory for President Trump who has long called for other countries to share the burden of military spending. A Forbes report revealed that the U.S. spends more than double in defense spending for NATO than all other countries combined. I’m not going to hold my breath waiting on the MSM to report any of this.
EXTREME POVERTY RARE IN U.S.: The U.N. recently claimed that 18.5 million Americans are living in conditions of “extreme poverty.” President Trump said the true number is 250,000. New research presented at the American Enterprise Institute makes a forceful argument that Trump is much closer to the truth. The researchers found only 326,000 individuals in the U.S. are living on less than $2 per day. Most of them are single adults, sometimes students, and none are families with children.
HYPOCRITE: Mexico’s president-elect is all in favor of illegals pouring over his northern border into the U.S. Not so much the other way around. Obrador says he will create a southern border force to stop illegals, drugs and guns from coming into Mexico from Central and South America.
ABOLISH ICE? I DON’T THINK SO: Liberal activists, and even a few Democratic lawmakers, are calling for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to be abolished. House Republicans are considering bringing such a bill to the House floor, not because they support the plan, but in order to put wavering Democrats on the spot. A majority of Americans support ICE.
OBAMA’S NON-WAR ON DRUGS: In 2014, cocaine was second only behind heroin in causing drug deaths in the U.S. A major player in the cocaine traffic into the U.S. was the Iranian-sponsored terrorist group Hezbollah. In his question to broker the Iran nuke deal, President Obama deliberately ignored Hezbollah’s billion dollar cocaine running operation into the U.S. The SlimeStream Media is ignoring the story.
GOWDY V. STRZOK: Chairman Gowdy destroyed Peter Strzok in his opening comments describing the undeniable bias of Peter Strzok in the Clinton email investigation and the Russian collusion investigation against President Trump.
JIMMY CARTER’S DEMOCRAT JESUS: Over the past few days, several websites have drawn attention to a 2015 interview Carter gave to HuffPost Live in which he claimed he is a born-again Christian who regularly teaches Sunday school at his Baptist church. Well, yeah, that’s why I naively supported him for president the first time he ran. I wouldn’t have if I’d known he also believes that “Jesus would approve gay marriage” and even okay abortion if “it was because of a rape or incest or if the mother’s life was in danger.”
CLIMATE:Last year the United States had the largest percentage decline in CO2 emissions in the entire world and we did it even though we left the Paris Climate Accord.
JANUS V. AFSCME: When the chairman of the USCCB Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development expressed his disappointment with the Supreme Court’s decision, citing “the long-held view of so many bishops” in support of unions, the Bishop of Springfield, IL, responded. “I respectfully disagree. Let me explain why.”
CATHOLIC HIGHER EDUCATION: The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that Marquette University violated the academic freedom of professor John McAdams. The professor, who is an evangelical Christian was suspended indefinitely, without pay, over a blog he wrote challenging the university to uphold its Catholic identity. Pretty sad when an evangelical gets punished for rightly calling on a Catholic university to actually … you know … be CATHOLIC.
DIVERSITY: An Uber driver refused to transport these three when he saw they had a MAGA hat, no doubt because “Trump is a RAAACIST!” Oh wait …
LYING LEFTIE: Sarah Palin wrote on her website about getting suckered into traveling across the country to be interviewed by a British comedian named Sacha Baron Cohen, who had “disguised himself as a disabled U.S. veteran, fake wheelchair and all. “Out of respect for what I was led to believe would be a thoughtful discussion with someone who had served in uniform, I sat through a long ‘interview’ full of Hollywoodism’s disrespect and sarcasm – but finally had enough and literally, physically removed my mic and walked out, much to Cohen’s chagrin.” To add to the insult and injury, Cohen’s production team “purposefully dropped my daughter and me off at the wrong Washington, D.C. airport after the fake interview, knowing we’d miss all flights back home to Alaska.” She added that they “refus(ed) to take our calls to help get us out of the bind they’d put us in for three days.”
BOX OFFICE BOMB: Rob “Meathead” Reiner’s new anti-Bush film, “Shock and Awe,” about the runup to the Iraq War, earned only $41,000 at the box office at 100 theaters this weekend. That’s $410 per screen. At $14/ticket over 3 days at 2 showings per day, that works out to 5 tickets per showing for a flick that featured A-list stars. Yoiks!
SO COOL: This very short video shows a baby being born with an intact sac.
