Sage Advice from Granny

A few days ago I posted an image of young boys playing cowboy, the way we did in the 50s. It was on a page dedicated to old toys.

In a matter of minutes several snotty little members of the Church of the Perpetually Offended jumped on, hurling insults and trying to provoke an unwinnable argument. You know the type.

Granny said: “Never get down in the mud to wrestle a pig. You just get dirty and the pig enjoys it.”

Can’t get any plainer than that.

I posted some YouTubes in the comment section you might enjoy. Otherwise, see ya whenever.

FAKE NEWS: The feds didn’t “lose” 1,500 illegal alien children. Their sponsors/parents/relatives did not respond or could not be reached by DHHS. These people often are illegal themselves or have other reasons for wanting to stay under the radar.

Human Health BEGINS with Gut Health

If you’ve got an hour, this is a good video. Dr. John Bergman, D.C., talks about Leaky Gut Syndrome … what it is, what causes it, what cures it.

Interesting points I noted while watching …

  • The sympathetic part of the nervous system controls “fight or flight” while the parasympathetic part controls “rest, digest, and repair.” I’ve heard those words in the context of stress control, but didn’t really understand what they meant. It’s actually quite simple!
  • A researcher Bergman cites suggests that things like vaccines, antibiotics, pesticides, and stress, only INDIRECTLY cause problems, like autism, which are now epidemic in our culture. The DIRECT problem they cause is gut dysfunction, which in turn causes all the other stuff.
  • This makes total sense to me. There are pounds of beneficial bacteria and yeast living on the lining of a healthy gut. These probiotics interact with the Central Nervous System and also make up 80% of the human immune system. So duh … if you mess up the gut biome, you will in turn mess up your physical, mental and emotional health!

MASCOT UPDATE: This Week in Buzz Land

Bunny composed a beautiful little story. I’m so impressed. It has all the elements of a good story and she’s only in kindergarten! Plus, they don’t even have a dog. 🙂

“I took the dog to the vet. The dog is sick. The dog has a medicine. The dog gets his heart checked first. Now the dog gets his eyes checked. The dog gets his leg checked. The dog is sad because he wants to go home. The dog is mad because he wants a treat. I am waiting for the dog. The dog is happy to go home. The end.”

Bootz and Buzz got painted.

(Bunny and Mama did too, but their photos show their faces, so I can’t share them.)

Training Day

This is the day 8,000 company-owned Starbucks will close for ‘sensitivity training.’

Since two black men refused to make a purchase and the police were called, the CEO has groveled at the feet of these social justice warriors. Now all bathrooms are open to the public and folks lining up for $6 lattes are sharing space with homeless people, drug addicts, and alcoholics. The bathrooms are littered with blood and dirty needles. If you think a couple hours of preaching from race instigators is going to change anyone’s personal biases, best you stay away from sharp objects. Continue reading

It Had to Figure

If John McCain had any sense of honor, he would retire now and allow the people of Arizona to choose his replacement in a special election. As a final f*ck you! to conservatives, he will remain in office until the deadline to hold a special election has passed. At that time, Arizona’s governor will name his trophy wife,Cindy to replace him. She’s more liberal than he is. Nepotism is the norm in the Democrat party. Guess this goes right along with that. Trump Haters can’t even get their Fake News on straight.

FIRST, they circulated this …. as some sort of PROOF POSITIVE of how evil President Trump is. On Saturday, Hillary advisor Zac Petkanas even accused President Trump of selling children to human traffickers.
