Godspeed, Silver Fox

Former First Lady Barbara Bush quietly passed away yesterday, surrounded by her family.
Husband of one president, mother of another. She was the “enforcer” of the family.
She and George H.W. were married for 73 years.
As with many of that generation, she accepted her fate with quiet dignity.
In Memoriam: First Lady Barbara Bush (1925-2018)
Bush, who was born Barbara Pierce, remains one of the most universally admired women to hold the title of First Lady. She married one man who later became president, and raised another, and brought a sharp wit, a matronly demeanor, and an air of gravitas to one of the most visible public roles in American political and social life.

Barbara Bush, Frank and Unpretentious First Lady, Dies at 92

The Bush family matriarch cared little for glamour or the spotlight, but her tart tongue and forthright attitudes endeared her to the American people.
She died Tuesday at age 92, closing the book on the longest marriage of a president and first lady in U.S. history.
Barbara Pierce was 16 when she met her future husband, then a handsome naval aviator, at a Christmas dance. He was 17 and soon off to fight in World War II, where he would name three of the planes he flew after her: Barbara, Barbara II, Barbara III.

Remarkable life: The world mourns the death of Barbara Bush
Bush is one of only two women ever to be the wife and mother of presidents. The two had six children: Dorthy Bush, Marvin Bush, Neil Bush, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Pauline (Robin) Bush and former President George W. Bush. Their first daughter, Pauline, who was born in December 1949, died of leukemia at age three.

There is a fat Muslim whore who’s a tenured professor at Fresno State who decided to get her 15 minutes of fame by denigrating the memory of Mrs. Bush. I won’t say anything more about it.She doesn’t deserve it.

CNN Panel Uses Barbara Bush’s Passing to Slam Trump
“I mean this family, whatever else you think of the Bushes, were a family that was wall-to-wall decent… good to people… considerate of others,” Toobin said. “And I’m sorry, I just keep thinking of Donald Trump in the White House who has none of the qualities that the Bushes have. It’s just a sign of how different this country is now than it was not that many years ago.”
Barbara Bush was critical of Trump during the 2016 election cycle, saying she did not understand how women could vote for Trump. She also said that she was “sick of him” and didn’t waste time thinking about Trump.

Morbid: MSNBC Uses Death of Barbara Bush to Malign the State of the GOP

Well, there’s just hardly any moderates there. David will tell you what happens if you’re moderate, if you even talk to a Democrat and what Trump did to the Bush family when he went after Jeb the way he did, so cynically and brutally, was to take a wrecking ball to the history of the Republican Party.
After talking about how she had a right to complain about the state of the Republican Party when she was a Democrat, Boxer said she was saddened by the current GOP. “We had a different Republican Party. And of course, the Bushes were part of that. And it was a big tent,” she whined. “But it was very different then. The Republican party has changed so dramatically. It saddens me.”
