Remember when the Obama administration erected barricades to prevent World War II veterans from visiting the WWII memorial during the government shutdown of 2013? Well, this shutdown is different.
Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke not only kept the parks and memorials open, he lead personal tours of the memorials. “We’re not putting up barricades. Absolutely not. We’re passing out brochures until we run out of brochures. I’ll be out here everyday,” said Secretary Zinke.
