Media Temper Tantrums

The left-wing Democrat propaganda machine was used to meek, compliant Republicans whom they would invite on their crappy shows and mistreat terribly, and the victim would say nothing. Those were good times for them.

But then something happened that they were totally unprepared for. A man got elected president who was not of the DC swamp; they didn’t make him and they can’t destroy him.

When he had a successful reality show, they all loved him. That changed the minute he declared as a Republican. Ironically, they helped him with his campaign because they thought he’d be a running joke for them to make fun of. Then real reality whacked them all upside the head.

They have maintained a vicious, nonstop assault on that man, the likes of which is unprecedented. He can’t be rattled, can’t be thrown off his game. He looks for these characteristics in his spokespeople. If you’re not tough, the press will eat you alive. They love to dish it out but definitely can’t take it.

Case in point: Jake Tapper got into it with Trump spokesman Stephen Miller. Like a spoiled child, when Tapper was getting his lunch eaten, he threw a hissy fit and ended the interview abruptly.

Nolte: Jake Tapper’s Mask Slips as He Hurls Childish Insults at Stephen Miller

This time it was not his increasing estrangement from the truth that turned CNN’s Jake Tapper into a Sunday morning laughingstock, it was the fact that he behaved like a 13-year-old girl who did not get enough sleep. His absurdly unprofessional interview with White House senior adviser Stephen Miler was filled with enough childish insults to fill the Dear Diary of any surly teenager

Here is a sampling of Tapper’s unrelenting cheap shots against Miller:

…”I’m sure [Trump’s] watching and he’s happy that you said that.”
…”I think the viewers right now can ascertain who’s hysterical.”
…”because it’s my show and I don’t want to do that.”
…”Stephen, Stephen, Stephen, settle down, settle down, settle down.”

As Miller continued to get the best of him, Tapper retreated to where he frequently retreats when rattled: spreading disinformation, which came in the form of this poorly worded-cheap piece of Very Jake News…

Then the Tapper meltdown occurred…

…”Stephen, I get it. You have one viewer you care about right now [Trump] and you’re being obsequious right now [garbled] in order to please him.”…

Obviously angry and over-matched, even as Miller was talking, Tapper abruptly ended the interview with…

“I think I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time.”

While Ann Coulter is correct that it was actually Tapper who was playing to an audience of one — his Svengali Jeff Zucker — hats off to Miller, who brilliantly pressured Tapper to a point where the mask slipped more than just a little.

As we saw on Election Night, when the pressure is on, Tapper reveals his true left-wing self, and it is never pretty:

[CtH: And here I thought he was the only semi-real newsman at CNN. My bad.]

Jake Tapper Shuts Off Stephen Miller for Being “Obsequious” to Trump

There’s one viewer that you care about right now, and you’re being obsequious, you’re being a factotum in order to please him, okay? And I think I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time. Thank you, Stephen.”

When Tapper returned from break, he took a snide shot at the departed Miller: “Welcome back to State of the Union and to Planet Earth.”

Donald Trump Mocks ‘Hateful’ Jake Tapper of ‘Fake News CNN’

“Jake Tapper of Fake News CNN just got destroyed in his interview with Stephen Miller of the Trump Administration,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!”

During the interview, an increasingly condescending Tapper battled Miller over his network’s coverage of President Trump and accused him of “wasting his viewers time.”

CNN Claims They Had To Force Stephen Miller To Leave After Heated Interview With Jake Tapper

White House policy advisor Stephen Miller was cut off during his interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday after an intense back-and-forth led to Tapper ending the segment. Now CNN claims that they had to escort Miller out of the building.

A CNN official told the Washington Examiner that Miller was supposedly asked “politely” to leave the set of “State of the Union” multiple times, but he ignored CNN’s requests. In response, the network called security to escort him out.

This is not the first time that Miller has gotten into it with CNN. In August, Miller took on CNN’s Jim Acosta during a White House press conference while speaking on immigration, pointing out his “cosmopolitan bias” and hammering Acosta for his lack of knowledge on the subject.

GOP Rep BLASTS CNN Host: ‘Maybe You Ought to Let Your Guest Say a Few Words’

“This isn’t a news operation!”

CNN’s Ana Cabrera got hammered when she had Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher on her show Friday, to talk about his opposition to Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ threat to legal marijuana. The interview, though, quickly derailed as Cabrera tried to fact-check him.

Rohrabacher: “Maybe somebody who is your guest should be able to say a few words”

Cabrera: “I meant no disrespt”…

Rohrabacher: “MY FOOT you meant no disrespect. You don’t respect Trump, you don’t respect people who disagree with you.”

White House advisor Stephen Miller absolutely annihilated CNN’s Jake Tapper Sunday morning in a debate about Michael Wolff’s book ‘Fire and Fury’. It got so bad Tapper cut off the segment and went to commercials.

On Sunday, Rep. Pelosi attacked Stephen Miller, calling him … big shock NOT … a “white supremacist” who deserves to be fired. Tweeters pointed out to the (n)ever rational Nancy that Miller is a Jew.
