THIS is how it’s done

2018_01 08 Trump salutes flag

President Trump attended the national championship game on Monday night between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs.

Right before the national anthem played, Trump was escorted on to the middle of the field by young members of the military.

As the bands of both teams played the anthem, the soldiers saluted and Trump stood with his hand on his heart.

The crowd Monday night went wild.

Bundy vindicated

Clive Bundy

A federal judge dismissed all charges against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, his two sons and another man on Monday after accusing prosecutors of willfully withholding evidence from Bundy’s lawyers.

U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro cited “flagrant prosecutorial misconduct” in her decision to dismiss all charges against the Nevada rancher and three others.

Bundy’s supporters cheered as he walked out of court a free man, hugging his wife. He said he’d been jailed for 700 days as a “political prisoner” for refusing to acknowledge federal authority over the land around his cattle ranch.

Navarro said Monday it was clear the FBI was involved in the prosecution and it was not a coincidence that most of the evidence that was held back – which would have worked in Bundy’s favor – came from the FBI.

The Green Wave

In 2017, the economy added 2.1 million jobs and reversed job losses in critical sectors, most notably in manufacturing. Unemployment rates for veterans, African-Americans, and Hispanics reached historic lows.

U.S. factory activity increased more than expected in December, boosted by a surge in new orders growth, in a further sign of strong economic momentum at the end of 2017.

Private construction spending hit an all-time high in November of 2017, according to a new report from the Commerce Department.

The number of people receiving food stamps fell by more than two million during the 2017 fiscal year, according to data recently released by the Agriculture Department.

At least 1,005,532 Americans (and counting) will receive special bonuses from their employer thanks to tax reform.

Nation’s Progressives Suddenly in Favor of Electing TV Personalities as President

From The Babylon Bee.

U.S.—Moments after Oprah Winfrey gave a rousing speech at the Golden Globe Awards Sunday night in what some claimed to be the soft launch of her 2020 presidential bid, the nation’s progressives declared they were now in favor of TV personalities running for president.
Millions of Democrats who denounced Donald Trump for his lack of experience throughout the 2016 race announced they had changed their minds overnight and are now fully supportive of a television star running the country.

“Even though I claimed Trump was ‘an unqualified television celebrity’ all through 2016 and that we needed a real leader with real experience in the White House, I have now changed positions. We need Oprah in 2020!” one woman in California told reporters. “I’m with her!”

At publishing time, millions of Democrats had also reversed positions on ridiculously wealthy celebrities running for the presidency upon discovering Oprah Winfrey is worth over $3 billion.

Media Temper Tantrums

The left-wing Democrat propaganda machine was used to meek, compliant Republicans whom they would invite on their crappy shows and mistreat terribly, and the victim would say nothing. Those were good times for them.

But then something happened that they were totally unprepared for. A man got elected president who was not of the DC swamp; they didn’t make him and they can’t destroy him.

When he had a successful reality show, they all loved him. That changed the minute he declared as a Republican. Ironically, they helped him with his campaign because they thought he’d be a running joke for them to make fun of. Then real reality whacked them all upside the head.

They have maintained a vicious, nonstop assault on that man, the likes of which is unprecedented. He can’t be rattled, can’t be thrown off his game. He looks for these characteristics in his spokespeople. If you’re not tough, the press will eat you alive. They love to dish it out but definitely can’t take it.

Case in point: Jake Tapper got into it with Trump spokesman Stephen Miller. Like a spoiled child, when Tapper was getting his lunch eaten, he threw a hissy fit and ended the interview abruptly.

Nolte: Jake Tapper’s Mask Slips as He Hurls Childish Insults at Stephen Miller

This time it was not his increasing estrangement from the truth that turned CNN’s Jake Tapper into a Sunday morning laughingstock, it was the fact that he behaved like a 13-year-old girl who did not get enough sleep. His absurdly unprofessional interview with White House senior adviser Stephen Miler was filled with enough childish insults to fill the Dear Diary of any surly teenager

Here is a sampling of Tapper’s unrelenting cheap shots against Miller:

…”I’m sure [Trump’s] watching and he’s happy that you said that.”
…”I think the viewers right now can ascertain who’s hysterical.”
…”because it’s my show and I don’t want to do that.”
…”Stephen, Stephen, Stephen, settle down, settle down, settle down.”

As Miller continued to get the best of him, Tapper retreated to where he frequently retreats when rattled: spreading disinformation, which came in the form of this poorly worded-cheap piece of Very Jake News…

Then the Tapper meltdown occurred…

…”Stephen, I get it. You have one viewer you care about right now [Trump] and you’re being obsequious right now [garbled] in order to please him.”…

Obviously angry and over-matched, even as Miller was talking, Tapper abruptly ended the interview with…

“I think I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time.”

While Ann Coulter is correct that it was actually Tapper who was playing to an audience of one — his Svengali Jeff Zucker — hats off to Miller, who brilliantly pressured Tapper to a point where the mask slipped more than just a little.

As we saw on Election Night, when the pressure is on, Tapper reveals his true left-wing self, and it is never pretty:

[CtH: And here I thought he was the only semi-real newsman at CNN. My bad.]

Jake Tapper Shuts Off Stephen Miller for Being “Obsequious” to Trump

There’s one viewer that you care about right now, and you’re being obsequious, you’re being a factotum in order to please him, okay? And I think I’ve wasted enough of my viewers’ time. Thank you, Stephen.”

When Tapper returned from break, he took a snide shot at the departed Miller: “Welcome back to State of the Union and to Planet Earth.”

Donald Trump Mocks ‘Hateful’ Jake Tapper of ‘Fake News CNN’

“Jake Tapper of Fake News CNN just got destroyed in his interview with Stephen Miller of the Trump Administration,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!”

During the interview, an increasingly condescending Tapper battled Miller over his network’s coverage of President Trump and accused him of “wasting his viewers time.”

CNN Claims They Had To Force Stephen Miller To Leave After Heated Interview With Jake Tapper

White House policy advisor Stephen Miller was cut off during his interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday after an intense back-and-forth led to Tapper ending the segment. Now CNN claims that they had to escort Miller out of the building.

A CNN official told the Washington Examiner that Miller was supposedly asked “politely” to leave the set of “State of the Union” multiple times, but he ignored CNN’s requests. In response, the network called security to escort him out.

This is not the first time that Miller has gotten into it with CNN. In August, Miller took on CNN’s Jim Acosta during a White House press conference while speaking on immigration, pointing out his “cosmopolitan bias” and hammering Acosta for his lack of knowledge on the subject.

GOP Rep BLASTS CNN Host: ‘Maybe You Ought to Let Your Guest Say a Few Words’

“This isn’t a news operation!”

CNN’s Ana Cabrera got hammered when she had Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher on her show Friday, to talk about his opposition to Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ threat to legal marijuana. The interview, though, quickly derailed as Cabrera tried to fact-check him.

Rohrabacher: “Maybe somebody who is your guest should be able to say a few words”

Cabrera: “I meant no disrespt”…

Rohrabacher: “MY FOOT you meant no disrespect. You don’t respect Trump, you don’t respect people who disagree with you.”

Orca for President!

Her picture was on the front page of both Chicago newspapers this morning. The Golden Globe circle jerk ceremony was held last night, where all the Hollywood types congratulate each other for being too fabulous. The theme last night was women standing up to whine about the harassment that has been going on in the industry for probably near a decade. Phony people living phony lives.

Oprah threw away half her audience in 2008 when she went all in for the Magic Negro and told her conservative audience to piss off. Never liked her before, like her even less now. NBC is touting her for president in 2020, just as the democrats once anointed a Chicago street hustler on the strength of a speech he read at the Dem convention in 2004. All it takes is some words somebody smart wrote to be deemed a genius to liberal sheep.

[CtH: KDJ has experienced her up close and in person, says she’s a nasty, entitled, rich bitch who is possibly the most racist person he’s ever met.]

Oprah Winfrey calls out sexual harassers in powerful Globes speech: ‘Their time is up’

Oprah Winfrey brought the Golden Globes crowd to its feet with a powerful speech during Sunday’s ceremony, calling out sexual harassers around the world: “Their time has come.”

Making a plea for a free press, Winfrey said, “I want to say I value the press more than ever before as we try to navigate these complicated times. Which brings me to this: What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have.”
Winfrey then pivoted her speech by telling the story of Recy Taylor, who was raped by a group of white men in Alabama in 1944.

“Recy Taylor died 10 days ago. She lived too many years in a culture broken by brutally powerful men. Women were not believed,” Winfrey said, before adding to the abusive men, “their time is up.”

OPRAH 2020! NBC, Liberal Media, Promote Oprah Winfrey for President Over Golden Globes Speech (Update: Stedman says ‘Absolutely’ open to running)

[CtH:  Good grief! An uber rich talk show host is now president material? Remember when they jeered at Trump because he was an uber rich reality show star? Remember when they said we should vote for Hillary because, having been FLOTUS, Senator, and SecState, she was the “most qualified candidate ever”?  We live in truly bizarre times.]

NBC News and others in the media are promoting Oprah Winfrey for president over her appearance and speech at Sunday’s Golden Globe awards broadcast where she received the Cecil B. DeMille award
Oprah Winfrey speaks at the 50th anniversary commemoration of the March on Washington, August 28, 2013 at the Lincoln Memorial attended by President Barack Obama.

NBC, which broadcast the Golden Globes, posted a tweet saying, “Nothing but respect for OUR future president. #GoldenGlobes” over a GIF of a smiling Winfrey.
W Magazine: “Oprah for President.”

Celebrities Call for Oprah Winfrey to Run for President Following Golden Globes Speech

“And when that new day finally dawns, it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time when nobody ever has to say ‘Me Too’ again,” she declared.

Oprah’s speech prompted applause, cheers, and a standing ovation from those inside The Beverly Hilton hotel and ignited calls for her presidential candidacy from her adoring celebrity peers on social media.

[CtH: Let’s not forget that Meryl Streep gave a CONVICTED RAPIST a standing ovation too.]

Left-wing comedian Sarah Silverman tweeted “Oprah/Michelle 2020,” apparently promoting a presidential ticket in 2020 in which former first lady Michelle Obama is Oprah running mate.

Less Than 5 Minutes Into Golden Globes, Seth Meyers Couldn’t Resist Making A Lame Trump Joke

NBC late night comedian and host of the 2018 Golden Globes Seth Meyers couldn’t get through five minutes of his opening monologue without making a joke about President Donald Trump, and it fell flat.

Meyers said a woman might have been better suited to host the awards show given the news of recent sexual harassment scandals, but he assured the audience he was the right choice because he was a man “with absolutely no power in Hollywood. I’m not even the most powerful Seth in the room tonight,” Meyers said.

He then pointed to actor Seth Rogen who was in the crowd and said, “Hey remember when he [Rogen] was the guy making trouble with North Korea? Simpler times.”

Stars Black Out Golden Globes Red Carpet in Support of Time’s Up Movement

@EmmaWatson and Marai Larasi, director of the UK-based black feminist organization @Imkaan, on the “profound” #TimesUp movement #GoldenGlobes

The “Beauty and the Beast” star, who brought women’s activist Marai Larasi as her date to the ceremony, said the movement made her very emotional and added, “You realize if you speak to most women, they have an experience, they have a story, and we’re just scratching the surface of this which is really crazy.”

“Glow” star and Golden Globe nominee Alison Brie said she chose to wear black “to stand in solidarity with all the women who have come out about being sexually harassed and abused. I’m so in awe of the bravery it took for the first few to come forward. They are heroes.”

[CtH: It WAS brave back before it became a form of virtue signaling. I reported my perp to the appropriate authorities and he was dealt with privately and to my satisfaction. But I remember learning what “my blood ran cold” actually meant one night when, while washing dishes, I thought, “What would happen to my girls if this gets out?” The man in question was a well loved community leader. My BEST FRIEND picked him over me after I told her what he’d done.]
