A return to principled realism

2017_09 Obama vs Trump doctrines

President Trump formally unveiled his Administration’s National Security Strategy (NSS).

The main points are:

  • Protect the homeland, the American people, and the American way of life
  • Promote American prosperity
  • Preserve peace through strength
  • Advance American influence

At 65 pages, the NSS will serve as the foundation for more granular security plans, including the National Counterterrorism Strategy, the Nuclear Posture Review, and the Ballistic Missile Defense Review.

Israeli Politicians Demand Obama Forfeit Nobel Peace Prize After Hezbollah Report

HE WORKED HIS ASS OFF FOR ALMOST A WEEK BEFORE HE GOT HIS HARDWARE AND A $1.5 MILLION CASH AWARD.HE WAS THE ONE HE’S BEEN WAITING FOR.
“Obama must return his Nobel Peace Prize. Israel warned repeatedly that there can be no connection between the nuclear deal and anti-terror activity, certainly against Hezbollah…We also warned of this specifically, because of the proven link between Hezbollah and Iran.”

    — Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid

“Up until the Obama Administration, every American President fought terrorism uncompromisingly…I am convinced that the Trump Administration will not turn from that tradition and the outrageous and mistaken policy that was revealed this week will not be repeated.”

    — Regional Cooperation Minister Tzachi Hanegbi

NYT Eagerly Claims ‘Mounting Backlash,’ ‘Recoil’ vs. Trump Will Turn Red Districts Blue

The Republicans are doomed in the New York Times, once again. In Tuesday’s edition, Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns gathered to giddily shovel the dirt over the GOP’s hopes in the 2018 congressional elections under the harshly titled: “House Control Is at Stake as G.O.P. Suburbs Recoil at President.” The text box: “A mounting backlash could turn some red-hued districts blue in 2018.”
Have you ever heard of a stupider and trashier man than the president of the United States?” asked Ms. Sharp, an interior designer who lives not far from the elegant condominium where about 75 women gathered this month to help the House candidate Lizzie Pannill Fletcher. “Calling a U.S. senator ‘Pocahontas’ in front of God and everyone!”

Right, cuz calling a U.S. senator “Pocahontas” isn’t AT ALL like calling a U.S. president “stupid” and “trashy” … or what’s that other one, “the orange cheetoh”?

I’m glad this was in the New York Slime. Nobody who matters reads it any more!
