Judicial Watch has given these 11 states 90 days to clean up their voter rolls, as mandated by the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), or face law suits.
- Majority R: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee.
- Split: Florida, Iowa.
- Majority D: Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York.
The NVRA requires states to make a reasonable effort to remove the names of voters who have died, moved away, or are not U.S. citizens.
Judicial Watch lists the counties in each state that have more registered voters than they have voting-age citizens.
