Miguel Estrada was nominated to the federal bench by President Bush but was filibustered by Democrats.  He was asked if he would consider the job of solicitor general.  “I would never accept a job that requires Senate confirmation or, for that matter, willingly place myself in any situation (e.g., a hearing room) in which convention requires that I be civil to Chuck Schumer.”

ABC’s relentlessly-hyped LGBT miniseries When We Rise collapses in ratings, beaten by three networks. http://cvote.it/2maHgR5

Cecile Richards said that if Planned Parenthood is defunded, she’s “terrified” that women won’t be able to get abortions. But haven’t they been telling us that federal funding of Planned Parenthood had ‘nothing’ to do with abortion? http://cvote.it/2maMYT3

SPEAKING OF STUPID!  Democrats face a daunting 2018 landscape, with 10 senators up for reelection in states that Trump won. Making it more difficult, the party’s left flank is convinced that a full embrace of progressivism is the only way to return to power and are threatening primary challenges for Democratic lawmakers who don’t commit to full obstruction of President Trump’s agenda. http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/321685-left-threatens-trump-friendly-senators-with-primary-challenges

Jamiel Shaw, Sr., father of a son murdered by illegal immigrants, was one of President Trump’s personal guests on Tuesday evening. During the speech the President offered his unconditional support to the family members of those slain by illegal aliens. The Democratic response was chilled, with some members audibly booing the President’s plan to create a new office for the victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens.

Rush Limbaugh on Trump’s speech before Congress:

“None of this was new last night. Well, they say, “The tone, the compassion.” No. The tone, the compassion’s been at every one of his rallies. I’ve been trying to tell people this. The humility has been at every one of these rallies. The honoring of the military was at every one of his rallies. It’s why I think the Democrats in that room and so many other places really saw him for the first time last night. I’m not exaggerating.”

Yes, Virginia, your Democrat governor IS in favor of voter fraud!

Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe vetoed a bill that would require investigations of jurisdictions in the state whose voter rolls contain more registered voters than citizens who are eligible to vote. Eight Virginia counties currently have more people registered to vote than there are eligible voters living in those counties.

In an apparent attempt to case aspersions on Jeff Sessions’ statement that he had met with Russians as part of his work with the Armed Services Committee, Sen. Claire McCaskill said SHE never Never NEVER had any phone calls or meetings with a Russian ambassador in the ten years she’s been on the Armed Services Committee.

Of course, there was that time in January 2013, when she met with the Russian ambassador about U.S. adoptions and that other time in August 2015, when she talked with him on the phone about the Iran deal.

But wait. THOSE weren’t related to the Armed Services Committee! Yeah. Cuz, of course, we should respect HER qualification, while TOTALLY IGNORING AG Sessions’ qualification. He was ASKED if he’d talked to Russians ABOUT THE ELECTION. He hadn’t, so he truthfully said no.

“It’s clear that Democrats will automatically oppose anything Trump says simply because it’s Trump saying it, and for no other reason. Personally, I’d love for him to exploit this power. For instance, he could give a speech forcefully opposing puppy murder, head lice, and diabetes, just so that Democrats will feel required to come out in favor of all three.” – Matt Walsh

“They refused to applaud even the most universal pro-America sentiments uttered by Trump. They refused to applaud when Trump talked about putting Americans first, saving jobs, fighting terrorism, and a number of other allegedly bipartisan initiatives. Most shamefully of all, several high ranking Democrats remained seated with their arms crossed while the rest of the crowd stood to honor the widow of a fallen Navy SEAL.” – Matt Walsh
