On March 8, Trump Haters are going to have a Day without a Woman.
Women around the country are being urged to walk off their jobs and spend their day “blocking roads, bridges, and squares, abstaining from domestic, care and sex work” and “boycotting” pro-Trump businesses while wearing red.
Their manifesto says we need a “new wave of militant feminist struggle.” Yes, militant.
It was co-authored by:
- Rasmea Yousef Odeh, who spent 10 years in an Israeli prison for her part in two 1970 terrorist bombings.
- Angela Davis, a Stalinist professor and longtime supporter of the Black Panthers.
- Tithi Bhattacharya, who thinks Maoism is really, really cool.
